Dr. Greyson is the Chester Carlson Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia. He was previously on the medical faculty at the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut, where he was Clinical Chief of Psychiatry. For many of us, the question of whether or not consciousness survives bodily death is one of, if not the most important question one could ask. How to Conquer Fear - DDG E30 Mar 16, 2021

Fear.

It can range from mild to debilitating, a friend scaring you to a life-and-death situation.

So how do you control it? How do you deal with it?

Today Tim and Scott discuss some recent examples where they were confronted with it, and how they dealt with the situation (not necessarily in a good way).

Because fear is something that impacts so many of our lives, it is worth taking the time to look within, and decide whether irrational fears are holding you back from achieving what you are capable of.

It isn't always easy. In fact, it's much simpler to avoid those uncomfortable situations all together. But like training in self-defense techniques or high-stress situations, training your mind to deal with and overcome such mental obstacles can prove vital in your daily life.

We're back!

Today on The DDG Ron and Les from Distributed Security join the podcast to discuss gunfights, training, and how to best prepare yourself for life-threatening scenarios if they should arise.

Both Ron and Les have extensive military and training experience, and it was great to have them on the show to detail what people need to be thinking about in terms of defense. How you should train, what you should train for, and a variety of other factors that come into play including the flight or fight response.

Training is an often overlooked piece of the puzzle when it comes to defending yourself and your family. There are a lot of people who are either too busy, or apprehensive about seeking out individuals to help them hone their skills, or simply understand the basics and set them on a path for success.

When push comes to shove, and your life is on the line, you will react. The question is will your body revert to actions that will improve your chance of survival, or crash into panic because you have never trained for what's confronting you.
