Stay ConnectedSoccer is exciting, but soccer talk is so boring…UNTIL NOW.
Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco want to bring laughter to the beautiful game. Soccer is a growing sport in America and our goal (pun intended) is to show that American footy fans are unlike any other in the world. Through the lens of stand-up comedy, The Cooligans deliver hilarious takes on American soccer that are refreshing and fun and make fans of MLS and US Soccer enjoy the league much more than they ever thought they could.
We are kicking it old school this week and recording in Christian's apartment because Alexis is working on becoming a sitcom star on ABC so we couldn't go to our MSG studio. Do not fret, because we still bring the heat. We are still celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and we highlight some of the great Dominican soccer players who are lighting it up all over the world. We also go over all the latest American soccer gossip and go over the NWSL final! Segment 1: Should there be a National Gully Day Segment 2: Gio Savarese is the new Mike Petke. Sponsored by Seatgeek. Today we are joined by Lauryn Hutchinson who is a defender on the Trinidad & Tobago Women's National Team. T&T has huge World Cup Qualifiers coming up and are severely under-resourced. Lauryn had a video we saw online asking for some support so that her teammates can get some help in preparing for their matches. Federations not supporting their female players is a thing that is all too common so we try to make sense of the senseless with Lauryn. Segment 1: Why does everyone hate Michael Bradley? & Why is Matt Miazga a mean giant? Segment 2: Interview with Lauryn Hutchinson (Instagram: @hutchfyp | Twitter: @iHUTCH_) of Trinidad & Tobago Women's National Team Join The Gully Squad at soccercooligans.com.
