Stay ConnectedSoccer is exciting, but soccer talk is so boring…UNTIL NOW.
Alexis Guerreros and Christian Polanco want to bring laughter to the beautiful game. Soccer is a growing sport in America and our goal (pun intended) is to show that American footy fans are unlike any other in the world. Through the lens of stand-up comedy, The Cooligans deliver hilarious takes on American soccer that are refreshing and fun and make fans of MLS and US Soccer enjoy the league much more than they ever thought they could.
Apparently, it's illegal to fly while being British. Glasgow Celtic is keeping an eye on American soccer youths and we decide if that's a good thing or not. Almiron is trying to secure a big ol' bag from Newcastle but they're being cheapycheapy. And we answer Gully Squad questions on the show! Also, we're going to be in Chicago for the US Soccer Coaches Convention and MLS Draft this weekend! Come through and say hello to us.

We brought in comedian Joanna Hausmann of Netflix's Bill Nye Saves The World who is also Venezuelan and is an expert on Spanish etymology. We also talk soccer, but that's not what you come here for. You're here for the jokes and the latino straw conspiracies! Today we are joined by Tesho Akindele who we interviewed in a conference room at Toyota Park while he was a member of FC Dallas. He is now a member of Orlando City, so while we are excited for Tesho we can't help but ask if this was our fault somehow. Several players we interview tend to move on to other clubs. Is it a coincidence? Probably! Or is there a Cooligans curse?!? Segment 1: Soccer Journalism is Deadspin Segment 2: Interview w/ Tesho Akindele of Orlando City Help Jason Saenz Walk Again: https://www.gofundme.com/jason-saenz-recovery-fund-aka-saenz-spinez Thank you to all the Gully Squad members that helped make this episode possible. We have returned from the Major League Soccer Cup Final to regale you with many stories of our travels! On the real tho, MLS Cup in Atlanta was unreal. The most fun we've ever had at a final, and the Atlanta United fans seemed to enjoy it a bit as well, given that they won the whole damn thing. Congratulations to the Five Stripes. Bravo to the Timbers for an incredible season. Now let's laugh about the whole thing until CCL starts up in like 6 weeks and we can get serious again!
