Business Decisions Using Life Force Energy With Nand Harjani Mar 24, 2022
    Show notes

Teacher, author, founder of Creative Life Sciences, personal advisor, and friend - these are just some titles Nand Harjani carries on his belt of professional and personal experiences.

Nand has created a huge impact as an energy master and expert-level intuitive, helping corporate leaders and people from all walks of life to uncover and use their ethereal realm to make better decisions and live their days to the fullest.

These substantial 40 minutes will definitely change your perspective on how to channel your energy, develop your intuition, and open yourself up to the synchronicities of the universe.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — Business Decisions Using Life Force Energy With Nand Harjani.

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️ Step up, and follow your heart's desire. Nand Harjani recalls his corporate past and constantly fighting against the call to pursue contextual readings in the business world. He adds that he guides clients with intuitive advice in both work and personal situations.

✔️ The ethereal realm is an untapped reservoir of information. Throughout our lives, we collect feedback through our emotional mindsets and learned behaviors. Relying solely on these puts us in an endless loop of choosing the same things.

✔️ Each of us has an information-rich aura contained in our ethereal bodies. Nand Harjani believes in using aura interpretation in informed decision-making, especially in the business world. Results have shown 90% accuracy in the past 20 years.

[00:10:17] Package transformation in your audience's language. Spiritual work can be overwhelming. Present information in a simple way and offer tools for business and personal applications to create the most seamless and convenient customer experience.

✔️ Use the counting exercise. It's a simple but effective practice to disconnect you from emotion and learned behaviors, so you can make better decisions in the spur of the moment. Whether for personal or business situations, it can easily avoid most arguments and petty outbursts.

✔️ Be in tune with synchronicity. From birth to death, the universe gives us information that is part of our destinies. Whether they are subtle or blatant, it's our choice to pay attention to these messages or refuse them altogether.

✔️ Nand Harjani shares two case studies of his work. These situations involved trouble-shooting machines, and helping an individual overcome emotional barriers to a significant relationship.

✔️ Whatever the intuition train presents, it becomes part of your existence. Intuition is definitely a skill that can be taught, although time-intensive. But once you get on board, nobody can take it away from you.

Get into your flow state, synchronize with the inner workings of the universe, and see abundance move into you as you navigate through daily life.

Nand Harjani is the founder and managing principal of Creative Life Sciences which he founded in the late 1990s. He is widely known for his highly accurate and effective personal and business readings, energy balancing, energy adjustments, and public talks globally. In those capacities, he has assisted individuals, as well as businesses, to gain clarity, release old and destructive patterns, and has guided them in their life paths towards a more powerful, self-actualizing, and inspired existence. He has appeared on television, radio, and has been interviewed for magazine and newspaper articles globally. As an Energy Master and Expert-Level Intuitive, and in his heartfelt capacity as a teacher, Nand developed Creative Life Sciences' highly effective training program.www.creativelifesciences.com

3 Ways to Optimize Your Conscious Offers With Richard Taubinger & Kylie Slavik Mar 17, 2022
    Show notes

Are your offers not converting as much as you want them to be?

Even marketing experts can still be caught off guard with this issue.

If you don't want to exert a ton of energy and time into your offers with little to no success, then evaluate and revamp 3 key aspects of your marketing: the avatar, the messaging, and your online community.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — 3 Ways to Optimize Your Conscious Offers.

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️ Clearly identify your target avatar. Richard Taubinger points out that most marketers don't take the time to familiarize their audience and use the correct language.

✔️ Knowing your Avatar helps you understand what they need. As a conscious marketer, knowing your avatar lessens your workload because your full attention goes to a specific demographic. It's impossible to please more than one group, so go for those people who would benefit greatly from your service.

✔️ Break away from the expert's curse. When you've done something for so long, you tend to forget how it feels to learn it for the first time. Take yourself back to when you were still a newbie to the product or service you're offering so you can relate to them better.

✔️ Look at the altitude of the offer. Scale it back when it's too general, and get granular on what your audience really needs and wants.

✔️ Utilize front-end messaging. Kylie Slavik recommends looking around in your niche and seeing what your competitors are offering. What makes your offer stand out from the rest? Set yourself apart by getting the right story.

✔️ Present your product's features along with their benefits. The burning question in your audience's mind is: Can your product deliver the transformation it promises? When you lay out the benefits of what you're selling, it supports the logical parts of their brain to move towards a purchase that feels safe to them.

✔️ For Richard Taubinger, it's a mistake to launch a membership site with an insufficient mailing list. A high conversion rate means nothing when your list is too small. One way to grow it is to create more expensive offers and use the profit for lead generation.

✔️ Cultivate the right relationships and energy. Creating a tight-knit community and an honest image on social media is key to higher conversions. Share relatable experiences and take time to respond to your followers. Also, reflect on the energy you project onto others.

✔️ Focus on your avatar, messaging, and email lists, and see bigger launches happen. Take these and apply them to your business for amazing results.

How to Future Proof Your Digital Advertising Campaigns With Mason Betsch Mar 10, 2022
    Show notes

Media consultant expert Mason Betsch is passionate about helping companies understand the distinction between marketing and advertising in the saturated digital space.

To Kylie Slavik and Richard Taubinger, he's a "secret agent of change," raising consciousness in the business of transformational programs.

Mason Betsch goes deep into his predictions on where platforms like Facebook are headed, using them to grow your business, and analyzing your data as a crucial key to success in the ever-changing online world.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — How to Future Proof Your Digital Advertising Campaigns with Mason Betsch.

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️ Life sends you on an unexpected path. Mason Betsch shares his early days as a musician and completely turning his life around after meeting a marketing agency director at a bar. He continues to play music to this day. "Keep your mind fresh by having a creative endeavor outside of the computer."

✔️ Marketers should foresee changes in the digital landscape. Facebook adjusting its data analytics after the Cambridge Analytica issue and Apple allowing users to opt out of marketing are just two examples of significant changes on platforms that Mason Betsch points out may affect marketing strategies. "It's vital for a brand to get a hold of their data."

✔️ Marketing is eliciting an emotional response. Facebook ad expert Mason Betsch believes that people are motivated by genuine messages that pique their curiosity and innate desire to experience warmth and authenticity. Kylie Slavik adds, "The formula is to care about the people you are speaking to."

✔️ Any advertising campaign can't overcome bad marketing and targeting. "Know your audience" may be cliché advice for marketers, but Mason Betsch describes how it goes deeper than that. Targeting your desired avatar takes much research and brainstorming.

    • "What brands do they support?"
    • "What products do they buy?"
    • "What other things do they consume aside from my work?"

Richard Taubinger builds on the idea, "The Facebook ad piece is one of the most important because when somebody shows interest and is on their feed every day, we can keep showing them [the piece]."

✔️ Create a page optimized for conversion. Platforms like Facebook operate on a supply-and-demand model. Pricing changes depending on the number of users or when necessary. Mason Betsch emphasizes to his clients that a 50-cent lead isn't less valuable or qualified than a $2 one.

✔️ Get a good feel for what the offer is. Mason Betsch explains how if it's hard for him to connect to the messaging, someone else may feel the same too. He uses his musical background as his "science" when scaling campaigns.

✔️ Use platforms as a conduit to bring people into your orbit. Don't rely on platforms to store and process your data. They're only tools to connect you to your audience. Analyze the data from your perspective and feed it back to make actionable decisions for your business.

[00:36:47] Learn as much as possible so you can be dangerous. Educate yourself about how campaigns and platforms work. Mason Betsch recommends Ezra Firestone's The Smart Marketer for straightforward and meaningful marketing advice.

Mason Betsch is a Paid Media Consultant, based in Nashville, TN with over 10 years of experience running advertising strategy and direct response campaigns for brands and both small and large businesses in the transformational/self help/healing/spirituality, publishing, music, entertainment, higher education, e-commerce, consumer goods, political and real estate industries. Mason also consults brands and companies on their marketing data plans to ensure that a sustained path for growth is achieved through paid media.

The 4 Pillars of Conviction & How it Drives Your Marketing Forward With Richard Taubinger & Kylie Slavik Mar 03, 2022
    Show notes

It's always energizing seeing newcomers launch their online courses and marketing. Starting something from scratch can be daunting but just like them, it's key to have the mindset that pushes you forward to success.

The strongest energy a person can have when putting themselves out there is the power of conviction, and it can't be acquired overnight.

Join Richard Taubinger and Kylie Slavik as they dive deep into the four pillars of conviction and how applying them to your work can change your marketing game.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — The 4 Pillars of Conviction & How it Drives Your Marketing Forward.

Key points covered in this episode:

✓ Apply your core values. Many online marketers have skipped this step. Richard Taubinger explains his value of overdelivering and how, in essence, it becomes his way of expressing deep care for his clients. "I want to bring my highest values to the forefront so people know what I stand for."

✓ Stay in your lane with what you're best at. Richard Taubinger emphasizes the unnecessary pressure to be the best at everything. Discover the magic you possess that only you could share with the world. Whether it's writing or video production, direct all your energies to it and aim for mastery.

✓ Find your secret sauce. Depending on your business journey, you may haven't found yours. So ask yourself:

    • "What am I best at?"
    • "What do people come to me for naturally?"
    • "What do I have that I'm willing to execute even in tough times?"

For Kylie Slavik, family and friends turn to her for writing. She chooses to market and communicate her message through words, honing in on her core competency and using it to her advantage.

✓ Create a method to transfer your magic onto others. What makes clients stay isn't your secret sauce, but it's how you sprinkle it onto them. Establish a proven systemized method on how you work your magic. Kylie Slavik shares that a fixed process allows you "to take multiple people at the same time."

✓ Boost your credibility and conviction with case studies. Richard Taubinger recommends compiling your best testimonials and highlighting them on your podcasts and social media pages. Kylie Slavik also reveals her best case. "It creates a feedback loop that I could never create on my own."

[00:29:40] Having the four pillars of conviction is a superpower. Clearly lay them out, then use them to leverage your business and inspire you to give your best in your tasks. These pillars can also motivate you to get out of bed and get through the most difficult days.

The Art of Visual Brand Storytelling With Cassie Clouser Feb 24, 2022
    Show notes

Visual storytelling expert Cassie Clouser has always been a creative carving her own path.

After years of musical and artistic gigs, a hand injury left her with a fresh perspective and a dissolving of the ego as she built a more meaningful and powerful career of helping brands tell their stories.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — The Art of Visual Brand Storytelling with Cassie Clouser.

Key points covered in this episode:

✔️ What is visual storytelling? Your brand's choice of colors, symbols, and textures must carry your message and communicate it in an eye-catching and understandable way. "The visual is the fastest mechanism to receive information."

✔️ An element of good visual storytelling is evoking the right emotions. Cassie Clouser shares the importance of using symbols that stimulate both left and right-brain thinking to increase understanding and encourage action - all with just an image. "I do branding and graphic website design work with one of the largest civil rights nonprofits in the country. It's been my job over the past year to rebrand them. That's a big task. What they want their audience to feel that was different than before that my art creates visually is the feeling of belonging and mobilization."

✔️ Turn your client's unconscious knowledge into reality. Cassie Clouser explains her process in getting down into the details of her clients' ideas and how she brings them to life. "I use a storytelling approach in my process that leads up to design. So we're bringing out many different stories, and I have a few different stages of that exchange of information, wherein the beginning, it's just downloading. I'm drawing out as much as I can. And then there's this point of beautiful confusion that happens where the upload starts coming through, and we have the right stories."

[00:15:48] Your storytelling should speak to your audience. Cassie Clouser uses Joseph Campbell's The Hero's Journey when helping clients uncover their brand stories. Ask yourself:

    • "Do we represent our audience's challenges and desires?"
    • "Are we building trust?"
    • "Are we painting the story of life after purchasing our product?"
    • "Does it make sense and feel good when I'm talking about it?"

✔️ Apply "story as code." Cassie Clouser believes that our entire lives are a series of codes - from our genetic makeup to our daily experiences - which can all be told with just a symbol. "A story is a way to pass information from different experiences and common symbolism." [00:24:36][9.3]

✔️ Find that immense value that is important to your audience.

Your brand should find that sweet spot - that feeling of being real and valuable - to win over your customers. This goes hand-in-hand with creating a good design for visual storytelling. Your message should matter to your audience.

Cassie Clouser is The Brand Mythologist™. She helps companies create inspiring impressions through bold, story-driven branding and graphic design. As a former TEDx speaker and branding lead for TEDx Youngstown, Cassie shows her clients how to weave stories and visuals to create transformative experiences. She has helped numerous brands tap into the hero, the challenges, and the deepest desires through her unique Brand Mythology™ process. The process leverages a rich, multi-sensory perspective to inspire audiences, influence through visual storytelling, and turn on the BRAND HEAT!

How To Add $100K To Your Business With Samantha Hartley Feb 17, 2022
    Show notes

It's easy to write down financial goals, the challenge is figuring out how to get there. In fact, getting to the first six figures in your business isn't all about strategies and planning. It doesn't have to be challenging when you adapt a fresh perspective towards money, and it effortlessly just comes your way.

For seasoned female-centered business consultant Samantha Hartley, it's all about acknowledging your value and showing up in your best as you lay everything out on the table.

Tune in to this new episode of The Conscious Marketer podcast — How to Add $100K to Your Business with Samantha Hartley.

Key points covered in this episode:

[00:01:25] From corporate beginnings, listen as Samantha Hartley shares her start at The Coca-Cola Company and how it shaped her views on discovering one's vocation and re-balancing priorities. She also adds, "Never burn your bridges and always look back to where you came from because that can be the source of all the good things that happen in your career going forward."

[00:04:13] Helping women double their business without exhaustion is Samantha Hartley's promise. Modern-day hustle culture taught us to grind to have the life we want. But this unhealthy mindset just accelerates our path to burnout. Working smarter - not harder - and aligning our decisions with our truest desires can break us from the habit of constant exhaustion. Samantha Hartley promises her clients that $100K (or even double!) in a year, with the premise of them opening up and allowing the universe to work through them. It never fails.

[00:08:12] Choose work that brings you joy. Would a new position satisfy your emotional needs right now? Would self-employment be right up your alley? Or do you want some time off? Samantha Hartley shares her experience about the importance of work-life balance and taking a "detox" from an unfulfilling job to recalibrate your life's desires. "Doing business with clients is the primary channel for my spiritual path and the way that I am evolving and developing."

[00:15:08] Nobody can put a number on your worth. "I'm worth only x dollars per hour." "I cost x, and if I do this, it costs another x." Be careful with your language. You should NEVER equate your worth with money. You're an invaluable gift from the universe to planet Earth. Your skills, knowledge, and life experiences cannot be equated to any currency.

Instead, show your true value in your actions and business decisions. Your tribe - the right people who'll joyfully pay even beyond the price - will come to you.

[00:15:04] Respect the energy in money. In our relationship and interactions with money, we must "watch our language" and be cautious in employing scarcity tactics such as bargaining and asking for discounts. The mindset of having less pushes us away from attracting money into our lives. Hartley also playfully drops an anecdote of her experience with Japan's money manners.

[00:17:05] Identify your value through feedback. What value can I possibly bring to the world? If introspection isn't working, seasoned consultant Samantha Hartley explains asking for a second opinion wouldn't hurt. "What was valuable? Why was that valuable? What are you able to do now that you weren't able to do before, and why's that important to you?"

[00:19:09] Wealth has a lot of different meanings, but it would be an abundance of having the ability to serve other people. Advertising your products and services and throwing those positive adjectives in your marketing may feel braggy at first. Samantha Hartley highlights overcoming that gag response when shamelessly believing in your business and accepting compliments.

[00:27:25] Marketing is communication. Samantha Hartley points out choosing a medium you're good at and you can "joyfully" do - whether it's writing, video, or voice overs.

[00:29:32] Overcome the psychological barrier. You may have all the skills to get to $100K. But your mindset may be blocking your energy field to attract more wealth.

Samantha Hartley works with women consultants who are in transition, working to grow their businesses from the mid-6 to low 7 figures. She helps them multiply their revenues without exhaustion by working with perfect clients on transformational engagements, so they can have profitable, joyful consultancies. Her clients typically add $150,000-$600,000 in their first year together.

Samantha leads the Path to $2Million™ mastermind and hosts the Profitable Joyful Consulting podcast and Facebook group.

Before starting her business, Samantha worked in international marketing for The Coca-Cola Company in Moscow, Russia, and its Atlanta headquarters. She lives on Martha's Vineyard with her husband and their fur kids.

From Real Estate to Romance: Selling Stories People Want to Hear. With Sharon Hamilton Feb 10, 2022
    Show notes

Are you a conscious marketer curious about the publishing aspect and dreaming of getting your name as an "author" out there? Novelist Sharon Hamilton shares valuable tips and encourages you on how to do it.

Tune in to this inspiring new episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast — From Real Estate to Romance. How Did This Happen?with Sharon Hamilton.

Key points covered in this episode:

[00:00:26] Reluctant marketers try to figure out a way to do marketing & get their work out in the world that is authentic versus weird.

[00:03:35] Finding authenticity to your gifts and the value only you can offer to the marketplace can be a long and grueling process. Take the story of Sharon Hamilton as the perfect example of what it's like to finally live the dream life not many have expected her to pursue. Selling real estate and selling books are two different things, but there are similarities in how she achieved success.

[00:09:09] Sharon Hamilton didn't start writing novels until she was 60. Now, she is in her happiest and highest element doing what she loves. "I asked, when's a good time to start to give in to that part of me? That's calling me? My house burned down; I was in a lawsuit — it's like God is holding up these billboards, saying, 'Sharon, it's time to change.' And so when I finally got it, I never went back. I don't make as much money as real estate, but I enjoy it ten times more."

[00:13:31] Writing romance novels and heroes is what Sharon gives her readers something in their heart to believe in. "Because I write a lot of Navy SEAL romances, I received letters from women who have lost a husband, mothers who had their sons injured or died in training accidents or wars. They tell me how much the books meant to them in those heartfelt letters. And now, I'm writing for them."

[00:26:05] There's never a better time than now to be an author. Find your audience & your voice. If you're persistent and love it enough, you will be a success.

[00:32:49] Writing copy is not emotional like a poem, novel or movie script. But one thing is for sure — you need words that touch and move if you want to connect effectively with your audience.

Sharon Hamilton is a NYT and USAToday bestselling author most known for her SEAL Brotherhood series. that have earned her author rankings of #1 in Romantic Suspense, Military Romance and Contemporary Romance. Her other Brotherhood stand-alone series are: Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3, Band of Bachelors, True Blue SEALs, Nashville SEALs, Bone Frog Brotherhood, Sunset SEALs, Bone Frog Bachelor Series and SEAL Brotherhood Legacy Series. She is a contributing author to the very popular Shadow SEALs multi-author series.

Her SEALs and former SEALs have invested in two wineries, a lavender farm and a brewery in Sonoma County, which have become part of the new stories. They also have expanded to include Veteran-benefit projects on the Florida Gulf Coast, as well as projects in Africa and the Maldives. One of the SEAL wives has even launched her own women's fiction series. But old characters, as well as children of these SEAL heroes, keep returning to all the newer books.

Sharon also writes sexy paranormals in two series: Golden Vampires of Tuscany and The Guardians.

A lifelong organic vegetable and flower gardener, Sharon and her husband lived for fifty years in the Wine Country of Northern California, where many of her stories take place. Recently, they have moved to the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida, with stories of shipwrecks, the white sugar-sand beaches of Sunset, Treasure Island and Indian Rocks Beaches.

She loves hearing from fans through her website: authorsharonhamilton.com.

How To Choose The Right Mentor To Powerfully Move You Forward With Richard Taubinger & Kylie Slavik Feb 03, 2022
    Show notes

To develop your mindset, strategy, and techniques, find mentors who can do each for you differently. These people will give you energy, time and genius and help you go beyond what you think is possible. Your mentor is there to hold space for your own greatness to come out with you taking action, and in return, you can hold space for others around you too.

Tune in to this new power-packed episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast — How to Choose the Right Mentor to Powerfully Move You Forward.

Key points covered in this episode:

[00:00:52] As you move forward on your conscious marketing journey, whether creating online courses or running a small business somewhere, it is necessary to find the role of mentorship in your life. Richard Taubinger shares how often we refuse the call initially, but the universe magically usually puts a guide in our path as soon as we say yes.

[00:02:34] Throughout your career, you will be blessed to have great mentors and not-so-good ones that will create a lot of learning for you.

[00:04:40] You will discover that you can handle more than you think you can. Kylie Slavik shares this as the most powerful lesson she learned with mentors that pushed her hard in healing sessions to stretch her capacity to grow in exciting, unique ways.

[00:09:53] The #1 question to ask when finding a mentor: Have they attained and demonstrated the results you wish to accomplish? In many cases, people go to coaches that try to teach something that they haven't been able to master themselves.

[00:11:40] The myth is that you're going to find one mentor in your life that's going to be the be-all, especially in business. They are specialized and will be more effective for your specific need or concern.

[00:15:05] Find an expert in three different areas: high-level strategy, mindset and implementation.

[00:16:59] The more money is charged for a program, it often dictates how committed you're going to be. You get more skin in the game and are more motivated to extract the value out of the mentor by putting in the hard work.

[00:19:32] Mentor hopping happens. Many conscious entrepreneurs go for the shiny new program and masterclass, enroll and learn about it, then take the next course and the next one. People stay as perpetual students, so they don't have to go out there and do the essential thing: TAKING ACTION.

[00:22:25] One of the complex things to do is what Richard Taubinger calls having the "multiple mentor personality disorder." It's having two or three mentors at the same time. If one person gives you advice and another mentor gives you a different one, that can be difficult, confusing and may downright hinder you from growing and getting to the direction you desire.

[00:25:29] If you're a mentor for other people and you actually don't have your own — you're a little bit out of alignment. This 2022, find a mentor you resonate with and who can see the dream that you may have for yourself is too small and help you create a bigger vision for what you can do in your life, the number of people you can impact and the value that you can bring to the world to fulfill your purpose.

Can The Coaching Industry Move Forward From Here? With Rhonda Britten Jan 27, 2022
    Show notes

Rhonda Britten has been in the business of changing lives since 1995. She has become an expert in overcoming emotional fears from championing her own personal tragedies. In this insightful episode, Rhonda shares her miraculous journey, her acclaimed method called Fearless Living and how she sees the coaching industry move forward.

Tune in to this new power-packed episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast —

Key points covered in this episode:

[00:01:10] Rhonda Britten was the first original life coach before coaching was even a thing. Named America's Favorite Life Coach, Rhonda is also an Emmy Award-winner, Repeat Oprah guest, Coach of the Year recipient, Standing Ovation Keynote Speaker, and Master Life Coach. She has changed lives in over 600 episodes of reality television and through her four bestselling books. She is the Founder of the Fearless Living Institute.

[00:04:17] She shares her origin story as nothing short of miraculous, getting a divine intervention to follow the path of becoming a life coach.

[00:08:10] Twenty-seven years since Rhonda started, she is advocating to help the coaching industry find its soul again.

"The coaching industry as a whole is lost. It's watered down, and it makes me very sad."

[00:16:51] It's imperative to be able to recognize fear in the face and the actual process of how it works in our day to day lives. Rhonda shares, " I help people understand what happens when they are triggered and what happens when they are in alignment. All of these things are learnable and doable. And when you build that awareness and understand how fear works, what happens is you don't take things personally anymore. You don't."

[00:22:15] Interrupting is a skill, and most coaches don't know how to do it. Rhonda shares, "Most coaches, especially beginning coaches, are just too afraid. They feel like they're rude. But do you actually want to hear your client go on about the same thing over and over again, indulge them and allow them to think the way that they're framing the event in their life is OK? No, you don't. You want to be insightful enough to interrupt and ask the questions that will give your client that AHA. And then move them into homework so they can embody right."

[00:30:04] The rise of coaches who try to deal with clients with trauma in the last five years poses why there has been more harm than good that came out of this. Rhonda strongly discourages coaches from blurring the lines and taking on the work that therapists are meant to do.

[00:35:53] Rhonda has this to say to remind us to keep moving forward. "Every time that you're like, 'What's wrong with me?' 'Why did I do that?' 'I can't believe I did it again, 'I should have known better' or any of that baloney negative self-talk, remember that's all just a fear response. If you can start seeing that, everything changes. So there's nothing wrong with you, sweet ones. There's nothing wrong with you; it's just fear."

Are Online Summits Dead? With Richard Taubinger & Kylie Slavik Jan 20, 2022
    Show notes

Summits have been around for a long time since the mid-2000s, when people dialed in to listen to multiple audio talks. Through the years, new models emerged where groups of people around a topic would come together for days.

Today, one of the myths is that these summits don't work anymore, are overdone, and people are already tired of them. From my perspective, these seminars and dialogues with industry leaders are definitely not dead, but how they are created and organized must have a soul and genuine passion to truly make a mark.

Learn more in this new episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast — Success With Online Summits with Richard Taubinger & Kylie Slavik.

Key points covered in this episode:

[00:25] Summits are an online strategy slash business model. An average summit is probably five to seven days. A host then brings multiple experts to be interviewed or give a presentation. The summit's whole idea is that everybody who participates will opt-in and gain their emails in a list build.

[4:16] Summits are supposed to be a WIN for the host, the speakers, and the audience. Kylie Slavik emphasizes how this is a beautiful way to create value for an audience on topics they're interested in so that the summit host can build that list, and it's an opportunity that puts the speakers in the spotlight.

[6:51] The key factor when designing the concept is to think of the larger movement behind it, and the second aspect is to think about how it's related to what's happening in the world now.

[10:17] Don't underestimate a small summit. Richard Taubinger recommends starting small if you are reluctant to run events in 2022. Try this model of what is considered a "micro summit" by having five to seven speakers over three or four days. You don't see this run much because many people always try to go bigger, thinking it's better. But that isn't always the case. You'll be surprised to find that the micro model really works well.

[16:44] Find a nice balance between basically the celebrities, the list builders and the experts. Occasionally, you will find somebody that hits all three of those. If they have an amazing topic they could teach about and provide value, then you'd have the key ingredients for a good summit.

[17:49] The best way to learn about summits is actually to be on them. Contact people who are doing them and even be a speaker to see how it works. If you see online events and summits in the market, sign up. See the marketing and sales funnel that people are running, and you'll start to resonate with certain things. If the universe channels an excellent idea for you, then go for it.

[20:24] There's probably no other model other than summits that have created the list builds for major companies. Major publishers in the industry, especially in the online space, built their whole business through online events and summits. It's been the number one tool they've used over challenges, quizzes, and paid advertisements. The summit model has been a game-changer and will continue to evolve in the future.
