    The Collier Landry Show

I’m Collier Landry. I survived a childhood shaped by trauma—and spent my adult life learning how to build a real life beyond it.

This show isn’t about reliving the past. It’s about what comes after survival.

Here, I explore the ongoing work of building a grounded, meaningful life through creativity, discipline, and honest conversation. I talk about mental health, identity, relationships, art, and the practical realities of rebuilding after adversity—without quick fixes or performative vulnerability.

My story has been told publicly, but this space is focused on the life I built beyond it. I share what I’ve learned not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it means to feel fractured—and what it takes to keep going.

You’re not broken. You’re not alone. And you’re not done yet.

A Relentless Enemy Called Depression, ft. Unqualified Therapists INC Aug 26, 2022
    Show notes

Every year, millions of people around the world are affected by depression, a serious and often misunderstood mental health condition. While many are able to find the strength and support they need to overcome it, others tragically lose their lives to it. In this poignant episode of Moving Past Murder, Amy Baumgardner and Sarah Simone, hosts of the Unqualified Therapists Inc. podcast and self-proclaimed "trauma queens," open up about their personal struggles with depression and how they were able to triumph over it.

Amy and Sarah have both experienced the devastating impact of depression firsthand. For Amy, it claimed the life of her husband, while for Sarah, it nearly took her own. They share their stories of how traditional treatment programs failed them and their loved ones, and the importance of having a variety of resources and options for healing. They also emphasize the value of finding support and solidarity in others who have faced similar struggles and the power of sharing one's experiences.

As advocates for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, Amy and Sarah encourage listeners to speak up and seek help if they or someone they love is struggling with depression. They offer hope and inspiration for anyone struggling with this difficult and often isolating condition, and encourage us all to do our part in creating a more compassionate and understanding society. Whether you are struggling with depression yourself or supporting a loved one through it, this episode of Moving Past Murder is a must-listen for anyone interested in mental health, true crime, and the resilience of the human spirit.

TikTok And The Dad That Got Away with Murder - Pt. 1 Aug 12, 2022
    Show notes

No two crimes are exactly alike, but they can be eerily similar. TikToker Brooke Nicole (@bnicole324) was just 6 years old when she heard her father murder her mother, similar to Collier. Except Brooke's dad wasn't arrested. He maintained custody over Brooke and her sisters. At such young ages, they didn't know what to do. So they lived with their father, knowing his dark secret. Years later, Brooke found the courage to speak out about her father's crime and now is trying to see him brought to justice.

    • "Mom got hit by a car. You're going to the babysitters." That's what Brooke's father told her to allegedly cover up the fact that he had just murdered her mother. Collier talks with Brooke about her shocking story and the extreme difficulty that comes with holding on to a secret for decades.
    • How do you break the terrible news to someone whose parent has just been killed? That's what Brooke had to do with her little sister.
    • Now that her story is out in the open hear the appalling way that Brooke's aunts are now treating her.
    • Collier and Brooke discuss the numerous similarities their fathers share. It seems there are plenty of personality traits that criminals have in common.

Decisions from a Traumatic Past to Live for the Future Aug 05, 2022
    Show notes

In this unique episode, we see what it's like when the tables are turned with Collier as the show's guest. Wellness and business coach Jessica McKinley (host of Sincerely, Future You) interviews Collier about his pain, losses, recovery, and lessons he learned along the way. It's a more vulnerable side of Collier we don't normally see. Listen as Collier tells Sincerely, Future You host Jessica McKinley about the heartbreak he suffered as a young boy who lost his mother, father, dog, and extended family, everything almost instantly.

    • Collier made incredible sacrifices as a child, so he could respect himself and the person he knew he would become. Jessica explores just how difficult that is for anyone to do.
    • We all need a pep talk in life, often through our darkest moments. Here what Collier had to tell himself at 12 years old defined the world to live and push forward. Child actors often have difficulty adjusting to life as they grow older.
    • It's not so different for children who experience trauma.
    • After surviving everything he's been through, what message does Collier have for others struggling to move past their trauma?

"It's Not Over Until One of Us Dies": Fighting Stalkers and the True-Crime Life Jul 29, 2022
    Show notes

What's it like to have a man stalking you? What about a wealthy stalker with no need for a job and all the time to feed their delusional appetite? That's the nightmare Lenora Claire found herself in. Lenora is a TV and media star who now spends much of her time as a victim's rights advocate. Her stalker survival story was featured on the news documentary program 48 Hours. Through her frightening struggle to protect herself from her stalker, Lenora discovered a new purpose in her life: helping others fight back against stalkers. Since then, Lenora has been called "the Erin Brockovich of stalking" by Vice. Listen to her disturbing story. Learn how to fight back against stalkers. Collier and Lenora also discuss the dark side of True-Crime fame. More than ever, victims of violent crimes are having their stories published, marketed, and broadcast to an audience of millions. Is it worth it?

    • "It's not over until one of us dies." Some stalkers never stop trying to reach their victims. No amount of jail time, no amount of fines, and no amount of time is enough to persuade some stalkers to change their ways, as Lenora explains.
    • The trauma for many victims of violent crimes doesn't end after the crime is over, and the attacker is arrested.
    • The stories that are told, the podcasts that are made, the TV shows that are aired, all of it is a reminder of the worst moment of someone's life.
    • From Kim Kardashian to Gywneth Paltrow, many celebrities have entire security teams to keep them safe from stalkers and the like. But what do most people do when they don't have the money to afford professional security services? Find out.
    • After law enforcement wouldn't give Lenora the help she needed to deal with a stalker, hear the steps she took to turn the tables on her stalker, to track him, and get him arrested five different times.
    • Hollywood star power from actress and NCIS star, Pauley Perrette, helped get Lenora connected to influential U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff, among others. Hear what she managed to accomplish.
