El Niño and the Coming Climate Madness Jun 16, 2023
    Show notes

By making the official proclamation that El Niño has begun, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) just sent the corporate media into a flurry of doomsday predictions. Who’s fault is it? Ours of course. We blew past the so called 1.5°C limit set by the Paris accord.

On today’s show, we'll hold up these apocalyptic claims to actual science, looking at historical data as a gauge for the “severity” of modern times. The true story here is that these pundits are fear mongering about a natural event that has happened for millennia.

Join host Anthony Watts as well as expert panelists H. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken for episode 67 of Climate Change Roundtable.

Wildfire... Is Climate Change to Blame? Jun 09, 2023
    Show notes

During the past week, both the mainstream media and politicians chose to push a false narrative in response to the presence of smoke from Canadian wildfires blanketing New York City. In a predictable manner, they attributed this event to climate change without any factual basis. However, it is crucial to recognize that climate change was not the actual catalyst behind this occurrence.

In today’s episode of Climate Change Roundtable, we scrutinize these assertions using the lens of scientific inquiry and historical analysis. Tune in to host, Anthony Watts, alongside expert panelists Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken, for the latest episode of our weekly dissection of climate change fallacies.

Rights Reclaimed: The Sackett v. EPA Triumph for Property Rights & Small Government Jun 05, 2023
    Show notes

The Supreme Court ruling in the United States' case of Sackett v. EPA has emerged as a pivotal decision, significantly impacting individual liberty, the constitutional balance of power, and the containment of the regulatory state for the first time in decades. The verdict mandates that wetlands must be categorically "wet" and directly connected to navigable waters. As a result, landowners, developers, farmers, and other property holders now have clearer guidelines about whether they need to seek approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency before using their properties for routine purposes.

The Many Threats of ESG (Guest: Jack McPherrin) May 31, 2023
    Show notes

Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) has become one of the gravest threats facing the free societies of the world. A cabal of ideologically aligned progressive elites are pushing to have progressive environmental and social justice goals replace the pursuit of profits and wealth creation through ESG under the guise of stakeholder capitalism. ESG is a social credit scoring system that ideologically aligned elites and subservient bureaucratic authorities have developed to “reset” the global financial system to their advantage, fundamentally transforming society in the process. States are fighting ESG pressure. The federal government should join the battle.

Shameful Propaganda From the “Union of Concerned Scientists” May 19, 2023
    Show notes

In this episode of Environment & Climate News, we'll dissect a recent so-called study from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) which makes a blatantly false claim attempting to tie fossil fuel products to wildfires in the western United States. Not one, not two, but three glaring issues arise: contradictory data, cherry-picked data, and satellite data, all showing that UCS isn’t just in error, they outright lied.

Policy, Power, and Politics: Renewable Energy Plagues Texas (Guest: Jason Isaac) May 15, 2023
    Show notes

Welcome to Environment & Climate News, your source for insights into environmental policies and climate-related issues. This episode, hosted by H. Sterling Burnett, features Jason Isaac from the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Isaac sheds light on a pressing power predicament facing Texas and the nation as a whole: the forced transition from reliable fossil fuel power plants to less dependable wind and solar energy sources.

As Texas strives to address this issue, the EPA's new power plan and the substantial subsidies stipulated in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) potentially pose significant obstacles. The episode delves deeply into these challenges, suggesting that federal courts may eventually declare the EPA's plan unlawful. It also discusses the House Republicans' countermeasures, which target the green subsidies in the IRA as part of their Debt Ceiling adjustment bill. Join us to explore the intricacies of these policy debates and their substantial impact on our environment and future climate.

    Embracing Petro-Masculinity May 05, 2023
    Show notes

The left has come with yet another ridiculous label to slur climate realists, or for that matter, normal people just driving their car. That label is "petromasculinity," and it's making waves through academia.

Host Anthony Watts and expert weekly panelists H. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken will embrace “petro-masculinity” and point out that without it, the world would soon collapse. The panelists also field questions from live viewers on this week's episode of Climate Change Roundtable, live every Friday at noon CT.

NASA Engineer Tom Moser Reveals the Truth About Climate Science May 02, 2023
    Show notes

On this podcast, former NASA engineer and program director for the space station Tom Moser gives a presentation to shed light on the science behind climate change. Drawing on his impressive credentials, including serving as Acting Associate Administrator for Spaceflight in Washington, D.C., Director of the Space Station Program, Deputy Manager of the Space Shuttle Orbiter, and Chief Engineer at the Johnson Space Center, Moser highlights the correlation between global temperatures and solar irradiance. He also delves into the disparity between real-world data and often reported climate models, which are used as the basis for governmental public policy, and how these models consistently overestimate temperature trends versus the real-world data. Moser exposes the propaganda in the climate science field and breaks down why media claims are often misleading. This informative presentation is not to be missed by anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of climate science.

Biden vs. The People - Reliable, Affordable, Power? Apr 28, 2023
    Show notes

This week’s episode of Climate Change Roundtable features a discussion of the Biden initiative on making power plants do carbon dioxide capture - a technology that is far from proven, much less practical. It is expected this will add significant costs to every power bill in America. Meanwhile, a recent national poll revealed that people simply aren't alarmed by climate alarmism.

Host Anthony Watts and expert weekly panelists H. Sterling Burnett and Linnea Lueken will discuss carbon dioxide sequestration as well as the latest poll on episode 61 of Climate Change Roundtable.

Big Banks Net Zero Proxy Proposals are Bad for People, Energy Security and the Economy (Guest: Paul Chesser) Apr 24, 2023
    Show notes

In this podcast, H Sterling Burnett converses with guest Paul Chesser to discuss the interventions of Climate woke special interest in our banking system. Specifically, they discuss how these groups and investors have offered shareholder proxy proposals to force big banks to adopt net zero targets and reporting, and to cease banking with companies in the fossil fuel industry. If successful, these efforts will drive up costs, reduce employment, undermine U.S. energy security, and bankrupt a vital industry, while doing nothing more than enrich elite bankers and green energy profiteers.
