Tony Nader: What is the Meaning of Life? Jul 27, 2022
    Show notes

Dr. Tony Nader is one of the brilliant minds in the United States with extensive knowledge of holistic consciousness. He has a Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT and is a neurologist trained at Harvard University. He is the successor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a renowned scientist and Vedic Guru. Dr. Nader is the head of the global Transcendental Meditation organization in more than one hundred countries.

In this episode I ask Tony the age old question: what is the meaning of life? You might assume that question is a bit tongue in cheek, but what Dr. Tony Nader explained emphasized health and wellbeing and connectedness to mind, body, and soul. He connects mindfulness to brain science.

    I found it absolutely fascinating.

    Enjoy!

How to Stand Out and Build Job Experience for Higher Salaries Jul 25, 2022
    Show notes

Are you starting a new job? Making a career transition? I've received a number of inbound questions on this topic as new grads seek jobs and/or folks are in a career transition.

    Two key topics:

    • Entering an Industry Without Experience
    • How to stand out
    • Negotiating a Higher Salary

It's never comfortable starting something new and big when you're inexperienced, but guess what? It's not your job to become a master overnight. Nobody expects that of you and you shouldn't place too high of expectations on yourself. Of course if you've been in your career for awhile and looking for ways to increase your salary, there are ways you can prepare for the conversation and give yourself a higher chance of success.

We get into both sides of the coin in the episode and if you have any other questions, feel free to text me at 206-309-5177.

    Enjoy!

    Is work/life balance a myth? Jul 18, 2022
    Show notes

In this episode, I answer two popular questions.

The first question I don't get asked enough, but I've certainly thought a lot about: how do balance career, exercise, and creative time. While this can be different for everyone, I share a few key aspects I've learned over the years including how I protect my self-care routine.

Next, Dylan called in asking about how to manage two similar but different passions. We're all multi-hyphenates. Our passions have many layers and explorations. However, clients for one passion may not be the same for another. We get into how to manage it and at what point does it make sense to combine all your work in a single portfolio.

I've been taking your questions on whatever is holding you back and getting in between your goals. It's part of an ongoing series I started on YouTube, called Daily Creative. If you want to submit a question, text me directly: 206-309-5177.
