Inflation, Inflation, Inflation, Oh My! May 12, 2021
    Show notes

You've probably noticed higher prices on everything from food to household appliances and that's because of inflation. Costs have gone up by more than 10% on a wide range of items. Product demand is running high as the economy recovers after the COVID-19 shutdown, but this is causing a bottleneck in the system. The Wall Street Journal reports this includes finding enough truck drivers to transport key materials to factories and construction sites. It's no doubt some Americans are feeling the pinch of it all, but CBN News Financial editor Drew Parkhill says inflation will stabilize and we could see the strongest growth in the economy since 1984.

There is a humanitarian crisis happening in India as cases of COVID-19 rise at a deadly rate. In just the last 24 hours, the new daily infection rate has risen to 400,000 for the third time this month. This along with a shortage of medical supplies as the country tries to contain a dangerous second wave. CBN News Senior International Correspondent George Thomas is following the developments and is on today's episode.

The Coming Push for the Green New Deal, Climate Activism May 06, 2021
    Show notes

The Green New Deal is an aggressive new plan put forth by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and prominent Democrats who feel the world will suffer impending doom if no action is taken to stem the so-called "crisis" of climate change. Critics argue, however, that there are radical political motivations beneath the surface of the seemingly altruistic goal of saving the planet. CBN's Dale Hurd joins the Rundown with the details.

Will We Ever See the End of Roe v. Wade? May 05, 2021
    Show notes

Lila Rose, Founder of Live Action, believes the 'days are numbered' for legalized abortion across America. CBN's Wendy Griffith conducted an in-depth interview with Rose this week and joins the Daily Rundown to discuss the details.

Mask On, Mask Off May 04, 2021

After more than a year into the global pandemic, we're finally starting to hear some positive reports from health officials. President Biden touted the number of vaccines given in his first 100 days, but the CDC guidelines released shortly thereafter are more conservative than many had hoped and they're making some wonder if things will ever go back to 'normal.' CBN News White House Correspondent Eric Philips has been sticking with vaccine news, and he is on today's Daily Rundown to give us a dose of updates and how people are reacting to them.

Guaranteed Income vs. Universal Basic Income May 03, 2021
    Show notes

Cities across the country are still feeling the effects of the pandemic both in terms of infection rates and unemployment. More than 25 mayors are experimenting with cash payments each month to families in low income communities. This could either help alleviate poverty or disincentivize work. CBN News National Security Correspondent Caitlin Burke has been covering this story. Today on the CBN News Daily Rundown, she breaks down multiple sides of the argument and discusses how the experiment is progressing in specific cities.

He's on today's CBN News Daily Rundown.
