    Bloodborne – Cane and Rinse No.250 Dec 04, 2016
    Show notes

We conclude our fifth year of the podcast with our fourth FromSoftware show. Leon, Josh, Sean and - making his Cane and Rinse debut - guest Gareth 'Gary Dooton' Dutton go to tahn on Hidetaka Miyazaki's gruesome gothica, Bloodborne. Though time is against them before the bad moon rises, the panel wades through the fluid gameplay and viscous lore with equal relish, before transfusing to the community for a further outpouring of ichor. Music used in this issue: Track 1: Cleric Beast by Tsukasa Saitoh Track 2: Hunter's Dream by Ryan Amon Track 3: The First Hunter by Tsukasa Saitoh Cane and Rinse 250 was edited by Sean O'Brien Do you have an opinion about a game we're covering that you'd like read out on the podcast? Podcast special: An interview with Jeff Cork Dec 02, 2016
    Show notes

In this Cane and Rinse interview special Leon talks to Game Informer Senior Editor Jeff Cork about his new book, Limitless Sky: No Man’s Sky Unofficial Discovery Guide. Jeff and Leon talk at length about the No Man's Sky saga so far, their hopes and dreams for the future of the game and what Jeff's book might bring to the table for the lapsed to disillusioned player. NB: This podcast was recorded after the latest (major) update for the game had been announced, but before it had been released rendering some of our speculation redundant! With the Foundation patch, Hello Games has already started to implement some of our wish list of features it seems... The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass – Cane and Rinse No.249 Nov 27, 2016
    Show notes

Not D-pads nor analogue sticks but styluses. Or should that be stylii? Either way, a contentious change of control method as we conclude the first year of our complete run through of Zelda reviews with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Leon, Josh and Leah discuss Daiki Iwamoto's directorial debut, including - of course - its innovative but controversial conceit of a repeating 'central' dungeon. We also hear from the ever-reliable Cane and Rinse community and discover that, as with every other game in the series, opinions are spread wide. Music used in this issue: Track 1: Set Sail for Adventure (Title Theme) by Kenta Nagata and Toru Minegishi. Track 2: Linebeck's Theme by Kenta Nagata and Toru Minegishi. MDK – Cane and Rinse No.248 Nov 20, 2016
    Show notes

Leon, Tony and Sean display their Mighty Deep Knowledge of Shiny's bizarre 1997 3D run and gunner and consider the game's origins, technical achievements and legacy, as well as considering whether or not hero Kurt Hectic's phallus-headed bondage suit is the Most Daringly Kinky element of the experience. Will MDK receive a Mildly Derogatory Kicking or Mainly Decisive Kudos? Listen in to find out. Show notes

Honest hearts Josh, Sean and James take a long journey down the lonesome road towards Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas. Will the bright lights of the big city still dazzle in this post-apocalyptic wasteland, or will they be dulled by old world blues? Join Josh, Leah, Sean and special guest Simon Cole, as they explore the dilapidated halls of Brennenburg Castle and face the Lovecraftian monstrosities found within. Can we keep our cool when confronted with horrors that decay the mind, simply by baring witness to them? A seminal horror title, that may well have had a hand in crafting the beginnings of the "Let's Play" YouTube culture. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess – Cane and Rinse No.244 Oct 23, 2016
    Show notes

Swansong for Nintendo's GameCube and curtain raiser for its Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess arrived at the end of 2006 to critical rapture. Leon, Josh, newly 'permanent' Cane and Rinse member Leah and the departing (for Nintendo) Ryan consider whether a game can be simultaneously "underrated", "overrated", "the best Zelda game ever" and "the worst Zelda ever", like some folks on the internet tells us this one is. Along with contributions from our ever-excellent community, we also talk about Tantalus' 2016 HD version for Wii U. Music used in this issue: Track One: Midna's Lament by Asuka Ohta and Toru Minegishi Track Two: Staff Credits by Asuka Ohta and Toru Minegishi Cane and Rinse 244 was edited by Sean O'Brien Do you have an opinion about a game we're covering that you'd like read out on the podcast?
