The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the 9th study session on the late Bill Russell's 1979 publication, Second Wind: The Memoirs of an Opinionated Man. Russell passed away on July 31st of this year at the age of 88. The NBA titan is the first black head coach in US professional sports history. This includes being the only person in basketball history to win an NBA championship as a player/coach. Gus is a bit stunned that we've almost finished this book, and Mr. Russell apparently left out the time when White Terrorists broke into his residence and defecated in his bed. #BringingUpOldIsh Last week, Russell gave details about his refusal to sign autographs. He said this refusal angered Whites more than anything he said about White Supremacy/Racism. This also surprised Gus, because Russell wrote this statement well after his support of draft-dodging Muhammad Ali in 1967. But after reflection, Gus recalled the FBI mentioned Russell's autograph impertinence when justifying their COINTELPRO surveillance of him. The sassy Russell used the same logic to reject his Hall of Fame induction. He talked about the Racist Suspects who formed this basketball institution and how they made rules to sanctify their White hoops friends. He also called out Hall of Fame Racists by name, such as: William Mokray, Adolph Rupp and Abe Saperstein. Mokray worked for the Celtics, repeatedly lied to Russell and bamboozled him into performing niggling tasks. Rupp was a devout White Supremacist who bragged about maintaining an all White squad at the University of Kentucky. He and former Former First Lady Michelle Obama championed the Obama Presidential Library for Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Obama attended a press event at the location. However, construction work came to a screeching halt this week after workers reportedly found a noose. It's unclear if this was a message for the former president, the black and non-white construction workers, or all of the above. Speaking of politics, Wes Moore became the first black person elected governor of the state of Maryland. In addition to a negro governor-elect, the same state voters also approved recreational cannabis - as did the state of Missouri. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. Last week, Gus T. told non-white workers that Whites are so prone to leave a noose on your keyboard or coffee cup, that it's mandatory to already have a codified response for this sort of Terrorist act. Low and behold, construction work was stopped this week on the site of the Obama Presidential Library in Chicago after a noose was found. It's not clear if the "rope" was for the former president or a crude threat targeting the black construction workers on the project. We'll also hear about a black student worker who was physically assaulted by a White University of Kentucky student who may have been under the influence. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Dr Heather Brown. The Director and President of Behind The Line, Inc., Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Salisbury University, her Master of Science from Capella University, and completed her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. She is certified to teach both Critical Incident Stress Management and Mental Health First Aid, and she helps instruct cadets in the mental health unit at the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy. We'll discuss her 2022 dissertation: The Role of Child and Adult Sexual Fantasies and Criminal Paraphilia Involving Serial Sexual Murderers. Gus found her report after speaking with Bishop Tony Caldwell about the missing black females in Missouri. Bishop Caldwell referenced previous serial murders in the area, including Robert Berdella. Dr. Brown's report features Berdella, Seattle's Gary Ridgeway and a number of other White rapists and serial killers. She makes a point of the fact that most of the serial sexual killers are White Men. We discuss what it is about White Culture that produces this pattern of White Male behavior. We re-visit the concept of necrophilia (including the Joliet, Illinois case from 2013, where White teens had sex on the corpses of two black males.) The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Akinyele Umoja. We spoke with him previously in the autumn of 2014 to discuss his book: We Will Shoot Back: Armed Resistance in the Mississippi Freedom Movement. Jackson is mentioned dozens of times in this text as the focus of counter violence efforts from people classified as black. We'll explore the water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi from through this historical lens. White media outlets reported on low water pressure and boil notices for the predominantly black town for a good portion of the summer. We'll examine the history of this region of Mississippi which boasts a long tradition of counter-violence - including the great Medgar Evers. Once again, the focus is on unqualified non-white scholars gobbling up all the academic space from White students. The fact that White Women have benefited most from so called Affirmative Action is willfully omitted from the coverage. The Washington Post's Akilah Johnson reported that Covid-19 deaths disproportionately impacted black people during the early days of the pandemic. Researchers submit that now, Whites are more likely to die from Covid-19. With the rampant White Defiance and refusal to comply with masking and social distancing requests, it seems very logical to Gus that Whites would suffer this sort of fate. Muhammad Aziz and Khalil Islam, the black males wrongly accused and caged for assassinating Malcolm X, were awarded a $36 million settlement to compensate for decades of deceit. Brazilian President Bolsonaro lost his bid for re-election, which is being celebrated as a "win for democracy." The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly forum on Neutralizing Workplace Racism. The "empire state" of New York implemented laws that require employees to post salary ranges for job openings. Allegedly, this is to help eliminate (White Supremacist) discrepancies in compensation between employees who perform the same job. New York Public radio has been discussing this issue for at least a year, and during one of their previous reports, the emphasized that the "gap" between male and female salaries could be corrected easily - "over night." However, correcting the difference between non-white male and White male salaries will take substantially more time and energy. No one explained why correctly compensating non-white males is a "hard sell," and the flagrant non-white misandry in labor is generally ignored. We'll also hear a bevy of Racist Jokes in the workplace. Composure, composure, composure. Will Whites treat Sunak like Obama's cousin? In Brazil, President Jair Bolsanaro begins his runoff election with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to see who'll govern the country. Here in the US, exhumations resume to locate mass graves for the 1921 Tulsa, Oklahoma "race riot" where allegedly 300 or more black people were murdered. In Kansas City, Missouri, officials "tarred" Bishop Tony Caldwell as a rumor-spreading imbecile who peddled falsehoods about a serial killer. Days after a White man was arrested and charged with kidnap, rape and assault for keeping a black female hostage in his basement, skeletal remains were found at a local gas station.
