Dr. Tommy J. Curry returns to The Context of White Supremacy. An Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Texas A&M, Dr. Curry's research interests include philosophy, jurisprudence, Africana Studies, and Gender Studies. His primary area of focus is Critical Race Theory and Africana Philosophy. We'll get Dr. Curry's analysis of the disabled black Idaho teen who was terrorized and raped by his White classmates. Dr. Curry often emphasizes that the rape of black males is a defining feature of White Supremacy. We'll also discuss the alleged "toxic masculinity" of Nate Parker. The filmmaker's anticipated Nat Turner biopic has been sidetracked with accusations about an alleged rape of a White Woman from 20 years ago. Many black people have disavowed Parker and the film, insisting that this is why "heterosexual" black males can not be the representatives for black liberation. This broadcast is designed to encourage participation from Victims of Racisms outside the United States and/or non-white people who are unable to join us during our typical program time. More than twenty years after the 1993 murder of Stephen Lawrence, a black London teen, Whites continue to unearth evidence of the pathetic investigation into the homicide. Incidentally, family of some the White goons who murdered Lawrence were disgruntled with this week's reconstruction of the killing. In South Africa, there's serious conversation about legalizing all drugs - similar to the perspective being promoted in the United States. In Canada, they've legalized heroin for medical use. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS This week marked the 15-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks - and the subsequent, never-ending "war on terrorism," and the 20-year anniversary of the murder of Tupac Shakur; Afeni Shakur, the slain artist's mother, died months ago. White rage about the 2001 Twin Tower and Pentagon attacks targeted any athletes with the audacityl to join Colin Kaepernick's ongoing refusal to submit to Francis Scott Key's national anthem. High school students across the country were terrorized and menaced by their white classmates and White adults for refusing to stand for the anthem. The NCAA cartel launched their own protest by moving all college championship contests out of the state of North Carolina in opposition to the HB2 Bill - which has infuriated the Gay Rights, LGBT division. The loss is estimated to cost the state approximately $50 million. Whites demonstrate much less motivation to address the ongoing violation of black people like Sandra Bland - who died under contested circumstances in a Texas jail last year. Her family reached a $1.9 million settlement for her death; no one has been convicted. "The Birth of Nation" star and filmmaker Nate Parker was never convicted, but continues to be hounded and re-litigated. The C.O.W.S. THE SPOOK WHO SAT BY THE DOOR Part 1 Sep 16, 2016

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the premier study session on Sam Greenlee's 1969 novel, The Spook Who Sat By The Door. The top seller was adapted to major motion picture in 1973 and remains a revered critique of Racism. Greenlee died in 2014. The main character, Dan Freeman, becomes the first black employee at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Freeman learns as much as possible in order to share his knowledge and understanding to terrorized black people, so that they can organize a counter-violence offensive against White Supremacy. Greenlee examines police brutality, "token" black hires and the notion of a "black middle class." Until recently, Whites made the film particularly hard to find - didn't want to inspire any black people. Greenlee alleged the FBI sabotaged the release of the film and made it hard for him to get employment. The president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, threatened to call Obama's mother a "whore" before their proposed rendezvous was canceled. While visiting China for the G20 summit, President Obama took time to verbally support NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protest of the national anthem - several other athletes, including gay White women, have joined in the demonstration. This week marks a glorious moment in the history of American democracy, marking the 45-year anniversary of the Attica prison rebellion in upstate New York. The mostly non-white inmates were protesting many of the same issues with mass incarnation that remain malignant today. Darren Seals, one of the prominent protesters during the 2014 Ferguson crisis, was found shot to death in a burning automobile. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 9th and final study session on Randy Roberts and Johnny Smith's 2016 release, Blood Brothers: The Fatal Friendship Between Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X. The book preceded Ali's death by mere months. Roberts and Smith, both Suspected Racists, provide their study of the genesis and abrupt end to Ali and Minister Malcolm's bond and how their friendship evaporated as Minister Malcolm's exile from Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam became permanent. Unfortunately, Ali was not able to mend things before Malcolm's 1965 assasination. Last week's segment detailed Ali and Minister Malcolm's travels throughout the continent of Africa. They detail Minister Malcolm's meetings with African leaders and citizens and his efforts to conceptualize Racism as a global problem for all black people. They provide a thorough analysis of how the CIA and international enforcement agencies pressured African leaders to distance themselves from Malcolm. The book also detailed Ali's tremendous popularity on the continent, especially his notoriety with Muslims. However, they emphasize his ignorance of orthodox Muslim practices and diplomatic missteps when visiting Nigeria. Most importantly, the book completely ignores Minister Malcolm being poisoned while in Egypt; it seems improbable that Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam were behind this attack. As we complete the reading this week, we'll cover the execution of Minister Malcolm X, and how this impacted Muhammad Ali both inside and outside the ring. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS While the country disputed the merits of San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the national anthem, Whites exhibited global disrespect for black life in all areas of people activity. From South Africa to Texas, black children's hair was under attack, as Race Soldiers provided an array of excuses for black girls to chemically straighten (mutilate) their hair to comply with White beauty standards. Illustrating the unbroken continuum of White Supremacist academies, Georgetown University extended an official apology for enslaving black people; however, they declined to offer a single scholarship or job to any of the victims' descendants. Conventional warfare against black people continued with the barbaric killing of Deborah Pearl, an unarmed black mother of three. Matthew Ryan Desha, a White Ohioan, crashed into Pearl's vehicle after allegedly running a red light; following the collision, Desha used a rifle to shoot Pearl repeatedly. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 8th study session on Randy Roberts and Johnny Smith's 2016 release, Blood Brothers: The Fatal Friendship Between Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X. Ali passed away weeks after the book was released. Roberts and Smith, both Suspected Racists, present their interpretation of the genesis and abrupt end to Ali and Minister Malcolm's bond and how their friendship unraveled as Minister Malcolm's exile from Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam became permanent. Unfortunately, Ali was not able to repair things before Malcolm's 1965 assasination. Last week's segment detailed Ali's transition from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali after he captured the heavyweight crown. Elijah Muhammad officially changed Ali's name and welcomed him as a member of the NOI. This was simultaneous with Minister Malcolm's permanently dismissal. The authors rely on a litany of FBI documents to reveal the turmoil within the Nation about Minister Malcolm. Smith and Roberts also stress the extraordinary indignation targetting Muhammad Ali once his NOI affiliations became public. White and black people publicly castigated Ali - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called him the "champion of racial segregation." As Ali began to learn more about the global dynamic of Racism, he recalibrated his image and how he could use his stature as a world icon. Meanwhile, Minister Malcolm knew that he was targeted for death.
