The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Mercifully, 2016 cocludes. Gus T. Renegade anticipated this would be an atrocious 12 months on the plantation. The passing of Dr. Afeni Shakur, Gwen Ifill, Natalie Cole, Muhammad Ali, Prince, George Curry, Phife Dawg, Dr. Delbert Blair, Maurice White, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing and numerous others made for a year of crushing loss. However, White Supremacists don't pause for sorrow or Christmas. In fact, a White EMT worker, Steve Sampson, used the holiday season to concoct a lie about black hoodlums looting his presents. He was eventually arrested for making a false report. And when Whites weren't lying, they put in overtime to get black people in the theaters. Denzel Washington, Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer confiscated the silver screen with August Wilson's Fences and Hidden Figures - based on black female geniuses who worked for NASA and helped Whites invade space. Both features explicitly address Racism. But, the constructive value of both movies is questionable. The C.O.W.S. Gwen Ifill, THE BREAKTHROUGH Part 4 Dec 30, 2016

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 4th study session on Gwen Ifill's 2009 bestseller, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. An award-winning journalist and anchor at PBS, Ifill, 61, died from cancer in November of this year. Ifill was one of the lone black female mainstream journalists, and she often discussed Racism during her journalism career. In fact, White Supremacy likely contributed to her death at such a young age. During last week's broadcast, Ifill referenced Shirley Chisholm, the first black female to run for president, and many other white and non-white females who maintain that gender is a bigger problem than Racism. However, Ifill cited hard data - including Department of Labor statics showing that more than two-thirds of all bachelor's degrees earned by African Americans are awarded to women, that suggests White Supremacy dominates. Ifill also examined the political ambitions of Artur Davis, who hoped to become the first black governor of Alabama. Davis thought he could follow in President Obama's triumph and rely on a sizable portion of White voters to support him. He was incorrect. After the publication of The Breakthrough, Davis lost his 2010 gubernatorial bid during the Democratic primary and eventually bolted to join the Republican party in 2012. At the time this book was published, Ifill considered Jesse Jackson Jr. another example of the new breed of successful black politicians. Jackson publicly clashed with his father, and supported Obama's rise the White House. Following the book's publication, Jackson's was convicted of financial improprieties and sentenced to federal prison. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our Thursday weekly caucus on Workplace Racism. This broadcast is specifically designed to strengthen our problem-solving abilities and to codify how black people think, speak, act and take charge of our emotions while on the job. Any listeners who have discovered the best techniques to minimize conflict with White and/or non-white co-workers, avoid demotions, write-ups, terminations or the other usual trouble we experience under Racist work conditions should be first to dial in and share specifics. We always welcome the experiences of Black "entrepreneurs;" please, report on how being "self employed" alters your contact with Whitefolks on the job. We'll hear counter-racist strategies from listeners as well as individual reflections from your own work environment. The holiday season is winding down, but a few potential holiday hazards remain for the last work days of 2016. We'll review counter-racist techniques for office parties or potential gift exchanges. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes two non-white listeners to examine how Racism impacts their lives. Specifically, both of our guests are non-white females, but they both have a White mother and a black father. Gus introduced these two listeners because of the symetrical nature of their experiences. We'll hear how their White mothers have practiced Racism throughout their lives and how they began to understand that their mom is Racist. We'll inquire about how their White mothers and family members talked about black people and if this corrupted their perception of black people. We'll also ask how major racial episodes - like the O.J. Simpson trial or the election of President Barack Obama - were discussed in their house. Since both of these ladies recognize their moms' Racism, we'll study how their maternal relationship has changed with a more accurate grasp of Racism. Dr. Glenda Elizabeth Gilmore visits The Context of White Supremacy. The Peter V & C Vann Woodward Professor of History at Yale University, Dr. Gilmore's work investigates 20th century United States history, African American history since the Civil War, U.S. women's and gender history since 1865 and the history of the American south. During a September visit, Dr. Tommy J. Curry recommended listeners read Dr. Gilmore's work for evidence that a significant number of black females and black males collectively rejected patriarchy and systemic oppression of females. We'll review her 1996 award-winning text, Gender & Jim Crow: Women and the Politics of White Supremacy in North Carolina, 1896 - 1920. Dr Gilmore chronicles how White Power was reconstructed following the Civil War. In particular, she reviews how White Men of the Carolina state unified around the notion of protecting White Women from raping black brutes. White Women demanded that White Men brutalize black people in their honor; ostensibly, accepting a secondary role within the System of White Supremacy. Gender & Jim Crow offers profound insight on how White Women helped instigate the 1898 purge of black residents of Wilmington, North Carolina. We'll also explore how this compares to White Women's sizable contribution to President-elect Donald J. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Niyana Rasayon. A behavioral neuroscientist, neuropsychologist, professor, author and father, Dr. Rasayon is also a North Carolina A&T alumnus and one of our listeners' favorite guests. We've previously examined his published work, including The Awakening: OMG The President Is Black and Reality Check: A Manuel for the Hue-Man Octahedron & The Mystery of Melain. Dr. Rasayon was gracious enough to step away from the yuletide festivities to review the gruesome year of 2016. Countless black people who devoted their existence to healing black people and confronting White Supremacy did not see this year's conclusion. Prince, Muhammad Ali, George Curry, Natalie Cole, Phife Dawg, Gwen Ifill, Maurice White, Dr. Delbert Blair, Dr. Afeni Shakur, Dr. Sebi, and Dr. Frances Cress Welsing all transitioned this year. President Barack Obama is still alive, but he will not occupy the Oval Office in 2017. We'll ask Dr. Rasayon how President-elect Trump impacts how we understand Pres. Obama's tenure as Commander In Chief. We'll also review the federal conviction of Dylann Storm Roof. The White Terrorist slaughtered nine black worshipers - including State Senator Rev. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS Even while millions on the planet prepare to celebrate White Jesus's birth, the havoc of an unjust planet took no holiday. A reported terrorist attack at a German Christmas market left twelve dead and more than forty injured. Chancellor Angela Merkel's policy of accepting immigrants (non-white people) is being widely rejected. TIME Magazine reported that her critics accuse her of "importing terrorism to Germany." United States domestic terrorism was memorialized as this week marked the thirty year anniversary of the murder of Michael Griffith. He was hit by a car while fleeing a gang a baseball-bat-wielding White Terrorists. The predominantly black residents of Flint, Michigan continue to struggle to acquire clean water, but this week new criminal indictments were leveled against former emergency managers. This could be another incident of Racial Showcasing as Darnell Early, a black male, is often projected as a central offender. Speaking of no count black politicians, First Lady Michelle Obama exchanged views with Oprah Winfrey. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 3rd study session on Gwen Ifill's 2009 bestseller, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. An award-winning journalist and anchor at PBS, Ifill, 61, died from cancer in November of this year. Ifill was one of a small number of black female mainstream journalists, and she frequently her platoform as a journalist to address Racism. In fact, White Supremacy likely contributed to her passing at such a young age. During last week's segment, Ifill covered the differing black opinions on Obama's 2008 presidential campaign as well as the senator's daunting task of "straddling" the "racial divide." She catalogs how Obama had to appease White voters by rejecting Louis Farrakhan, admonishing Rev. Jeremiah Wright, periodically castigating black people, and "stiff arming" Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton. Ifill also discussed how Racist Women weaponized feminism to upbraid those who would support a non-white candidate over Hillary Clinton. Interestingly, Ifill references a myriad of black scholars and journalists - Melissa Harris-Perry, Alice Walker - and even Admitted White Supremacist Timothy Wise, who all recognized how a significant population of White Women were, as Wise wrote, "Not thinking and acting as women," but as White Supremacists. It's stunning that eight years later, after President-elect Trump's victory we are again "surprised" that White Women's allegiance to White Supremacy made a substantial impact in the voting booth. The Context of White Supremacy hosts our monthly Global Sunday Talk On Racism. This program is specifically constructed to encourage participation from Victims of Racism beyond the United States and/or non-white people who are not able to join the dialog during our typical broadcast time. Like everything else, the holiday season supports the System of Racism. Dutch journalist and political candidate Sylvia Simons was Racially Terrorized for critiquing the White Supremacist tradition of Zwarte Piet (Black Pete). Simon's face was "super-imposed on the hanged bodies of victims of a lynching." Whites in England broadcast a BBC documentary on what some would describe as the 2011 lynching of Mark Duggan by Metropolitan Police. The project obscured the centrality of White Supremacy in Duggan's death and the ensuing coverage of the killing as well as the days of "rioting." Black Is The New Black, a four-part series also aired on the BBC, features Thandie Newton, Naomi Campbell, Dizzee Rascal, Alesha Dixon and some of the most recognizable, most accomplished black Britons alive.
