Our new enlightened woke military leaders, among them Woke General Ty Seidule, have decided that these people were traitors and need to go. You can't say we have to get rid of them because they owned slaves. That would eliminate George Washington, for example, but if they were traitors, they were bad. Several Oregon counties want to secede from Oregon and join Idaho. One historian called this "Secession 2.0." Is this true? No, and not just because this would create all sorts of Constitutional issues, all of which would probably be impossible to overcome. More importantly, if these people really wanted out, they should just do it as the founding generation: just form their own government and go their own way. But States looking to break off from other States isn't new, either. We should really be looking at adding bunches of new States anyway, as I discuss in this episode of The Brion McClanahan Show.

Ep. 444: Confederate Rocks are Dangerous May 18, 2021

A custody battle in New York has taken a strange turn. A State appellate court has ruled that the mother of a seven-year old biracial girl needs to remove a rock painted with a Confederate flag from her driveway by June 1 or she will risk losing custody of her daughter. That's right. According to the court, the rock is causing great harm to the child. Except no one except these stupid judges, not even the child, thinks that. No matter. The flag is now THE symbol of American evil and has to be stamped out, even on private property. This would be laughable if it wasn't true. Modern progressives are the puritans of our day. They believe in a secular religion, progressivism, that mandates obedience and conformity. This is no different than the 17th century Puritans who ran around banning books, plays, newspapers, dancing, or anything else that was fun, including Christmas.
