Law vs. Grace May 01, 2019

Show notes

For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression. Romans 4:15

God no longer has an external demand on His people because He has now written His law on the believer’s heart. It’s now in our will and desire to walk righteously. The grace of God is the only environment that will empower the righteousness of God. Jesus Christ in us as believers will confine us to good behavior more than the Law ever could. It's only by faith that rests on His grace that we will see the manifestation of righteousness in our lives.

In this podcast, Peter teaches on Law vs Grace and how understanding the two pertain to how we walk righteously as believers.

In this podcast, Peter reads through Exodus to find a powerful illustration of how the process of salvation looks different from the process of our sanctification (renewing of mind, will, emotions).
Finally, Peter returns to the new testament to express that the process of our sanctification is something produced in rest, relying on the work of the Lord to change our hearts, renew our desires, and bring us closer into intimacy with Him.
