    The Atlanta Falcons put forth a major battle, but eventually went down 29-15 to the Buffalo Bills on a snowy day in Western New York. The Falcons led 15-14 at halftime, but could build a lead when they had the opportunity on the Buffalo 25-yard line. The offense sputtered and the defense could stop the run as the Bills pulled away with two sustained touchdown drives in the second half. The Falcons were officially eliminated from the playoffs.

    Can the Falcons upset the Buffalo Bills? Dec 29, 2021

    With a chance to inch closer to the playoffs, the Falcons (7-8) are set to face the Buffalo Bills (9-6) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The Falcons must figure out how to score against the top ranked overall defense in the league and how to control dual-threat quarterback Josh Allen and his Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs.     Foye Oluokun saves the day for the Falcons Dec 27, 2021

    Falcons linebacker Foye Oluokun intercepted a Tim Boyle pass in the final minute of the game to preserve the Falcons' 20-16 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons improved to 7-8 on the season and won their first game of the season at their home stadium. Also, Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts turned in a big game with by catching all six of his targets for 102 yards and broke Tony Gonzalez' franchise record for most yards by a tight end in a season.

    Lions are coming in hot Dec 22, 2021

    The Detroit Lions have won two of their last three games and are coming into their matchup against the Falcons with a lot of momentum. Quarterback Jared Goff went on the reserve COVID-19 list on Monday, but under the new league protocols has a chance to make it back in time to face the Falcons. The Lions, who also are rebuilding like the Falcons, have played teams tough this season under first-year coach Dan "Knee Caps" Campbell.

    After a slow start to the season, the San Francisco 49ere (7-6) have won five of their past seven games and are currently in the sixth position for the NFC playoffs. The Falcons (6-7) are 8.5 point underdogs and need to upset the 49ers to legitimize their playoffs status. The Falcons are 5-1 on the road this season, but do not have a victory over a team with a winning record. The 49ers are led by tight end George Kittle, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and defensive end Nick Bosa.

    Falcons run through Panthers 29-21 Dec 13, 2021

    The Falcons rushing the ball for more than 120 yards for third consecutive game defeated the Carolina Panthers 29-21 on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium. The Falcons defense took a challenge to defend the run personally and came up with three turnovers in stopping Cam Newton and the Panthers. The defense held the Panthers to 91 yards rushing after they ran for 203 yards in the previous meeting. The Falcons improved to 6-7 on the season and are set to play at San Francisco next week.

    Falcons set for rematch with Panthers Dec 08, 2021

    The Falcons (5-7) are set to face the Carolina Panthers (5-7) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The Panthers won the previous meeting 19-13 on Oct. 13, but have since signed quarterback Cam Newton and have fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady. The Falcons, who have tight Hayden Hurst returning to the lineup, know the Panthers will try to run the football against them.

    Falcons squander chances in loss to Bucs Dec 06, 2021

    In the 30-17 loss to the Bucs, the Falcons squandered opportunities from the half-yard line and later fumbled with a chance to take the lead and put some pressure on the Bucs. In the end, quarterback Tom Brady, who passed for 368 yards and four touchdowns, was just too much for the Falcons and their light pass rush. Also, the rotating centers plan backfired with botched snaps, five sacks and 11 quarterback hits.

    The Falcons (5-6) will get a chance to legitimize their playoff bid when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-3) at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Bucs boast the No. 1 scoring offense, passing offense and the top defense against the run in the NFL. Quarterback Tom Brady rallied the Bucs from a halftime deficit to defeat the Indianapolis Colts on the road last week and has been leaning on running back Leonard Fournette for help.
