Lots of potential but what does it mean for SKC's current roster if he succeeds? Or if he doesn't? We also have to discuss 16-year-old Busio's first start at Children's Mercy Park. How did he do versus the Union? SKC won but was it a good performance overall? SKC faces Independiente in the second leg after losing 2-1 in Panama. Can they pull out the win Thursday and advance?

Since our last pod, Sporting Kansas City blasted through their round of 16 matchups with Toluca in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League. A dominate win at home and another on the road and now Sporting KC has to pivot to MLS play. We break down what went so well for SKC against Toluca and whether or not they can keep it up versus their MLS opponents. With a short turnaround we discuss what kind of lineup Peter Vermes will put out at LAFC on Sunday. Another major point of discussion was Bob's article about prefering to focus on MLS Cup over CCL. There was a lot of "disagreeement" thrown our way but did people really read the article or just the headline?

The crew was finally back at it again on Wednesday night after a couple weeks off. Cody, Aly, & Bob broke in the studio and looked ahead to the final five matches of the season. Is first place within their grasp? What is the best lineup to get them there? So much to discuss! Three at home. Two away. Every single point will make waves in the Western Conference playoff race and each remaining opponent is battling for their spot. This is going to be fun. The show covers each match and gives you an idea of what it will take from SKC to get that playoff game at Children’s Mercy Park. Taking a look at the lineup, Bob wonders, “Is Krisztian Nemeth a CF or isn’t he?” He’s played winger for Vermes but was brought in to fill a void at striker. The versatility on this roster brings up a fun question for Sporting fans. What is your preferred LW/CF/RW combination? Forget about who is injured and what you think Peter Vermes will do. Let us know in the comments what front-three you’d select. There is also a discussion about Daniel Salloi. He has seen so much of the bench lately it is starting to look like he is in the dog house. After last week’s performance from Gerso, Vermes’ selection will tell us a lot. How are the injuries of Rubio and Shelton you ask? Well, we don’t know that. Not when we recorded, at least.
