Sarah Huckabee Sanders gave another rare press briefing on Monday. Among other things, she said that Donald Trump doesn't WANT another shutdown, but he certainly isn't ruling it out. Could we see another historic shutdown in a few weeks?

Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker says the Mueller investigation is about to wrap up. It could be true, but Trumpers have been saying that for YEARS now. I wouldn't buy it.

The Government is Re-Opened! Jan 28, 2019

A wild weekend as Donald Trump CAVES to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats and allows a short term resolution, which will reopen the government and get all federal employees back pay for the period that the government was shut down. Did anyone learn a lesson? Trump certainly didn't. He promised to shut the government down again if there isn't a solution in the next couple of weeks. Is this any way to run a government?

Also, Roger Stone speaks after his indictment on Friday. He says he's innocent. The White House says this has NOTHING to do with the Trump campaign. Roger Stone's indictment lists the words "Trump campaign" TWENTY EIGHT TIMES.

It all has to do with the Russian hacking of the DNC and Wikileaks coordination with the Trump campaign to disseminate the information. The net is closing in around Donald Trump and collusion.

Today is the day that federal employees missed their second paycheck of the year as the government shutdown entered its 35 day. What will it take to break the fever?

It goes to show that behind all of his bluster and showmanship, he has a serious lack of understanding of how politics work. It also shows just how important it is that we have Pelosi as the head of the Democrats in the House.

Michael Cohen postpones the date that he was going to testify before Congress. That just means we'll need to wait a little longer before he spills the beans about Donald Trump's shady business dealings.

Hours AFTER ISIS claimed responsibility for killing 4 Americans in Syria, Mike Pence stood in front of a crowd and repeated the lie that "ISIS has been defeated." What an irresponsible statement to make. ISIS has NOT been defeated and everyone can see it.

Rudy Giuliani lies on TV again. He claims that Trump has only ever said that HE was not guilty of collusion, but can't speak for other members of the Trump Team.

Rep Steve King (R-IA) faced a vote to punish him for his recent comments praising white supremacy and white nationalism. He lost his seats on his committees, but he's still serving. Republicans have known his racist history for a very long time. This shouldn't be a surprise. And while they punished him, he still has a seat and is working with Republicans. Not to mention... his comments are NO different than the comments of Donald Trump.
