The $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy is again in Lincoln after the Huskers took care of pesky Minnesota. And the guys can see a Big Ten Championship through their scarlet-colored glasses. They can also see that Tommy Armstrong is all that is man. They can see that Mike Riley has testicles the size of Gretna. They can see that the defensive line harassed Mitch Leidner and the Golden Gophers running backs all night. They can see that championships are coming. All of these emotions stem from Nebraska's tight (and somewhat controversial) loss at Wisconsin. The Huskers proved their were a force to be reckoned with, going toe to toe with the Badgers in Madison. Now it's time for the Big Red to take its now additionally motivated machine to Columbus for a matchup against Ohio State. Can Josh Banderas, Nate Gerry and the rest of the Blackshirts stifle Urban Meyer, JT Barrett and the Buckeyes offense the same way they stymied Paul Chryst, Corey Clement and Bart Houston? Will Nick Gate, David Knevel and the Huskers o-line look as strong as they did against the vaunted Badgers defense and create opportunities for Tommy Armstrong, Terrell Newby, Devine Ozigbo and Jordan Westerkamp? Lovie Smith and Illinois came to town, and Nebraska provided the dominant effort everyone expected. Or not. With a close win and injuries to Cethan Carter, Jordan Westerkamp, Devine Ozigbo and others, Ryan and Pat were not in a super celebratory mood. But Mike Riley's big testicles came to the rescue once again. Nebraska survived and advanced. Now with a week off, Nebraska prepares for games against Indiana and Purdue before back-to-back showdowns against Wisconsin and Ohio State. How will the guys be feeling entering those games? That remains to be seen. But they do share their thoughts on the Huskers' game against Illinois, Bo Pelini, the Memorial Stadium reaction to Michael Rose-Ivey, and of course, Mike Riley's balls.
