    "What we're doing now is learning from the past and taking care of the present..." - Annick Beaudet We’re back from our hiatus and kicking off our fall season with returning guest Annick Beaudet! An Assistant Director with the Austin Transportation Department, Annick lead the drafting and passage of Austin’s Strategic Mobility Plan, and was appointed team co-leader for Austin Land Development Code re-write in July by City Manager Spencer Cronk. Reporting to Assistant City Manager Rodney Gonzalez, Annick’s team will set direction on code development and implementation, and approve the City staff recommended draft of the Land Development Code Revision to City Council. Annick has worked in the areas of land use, entitlements and transportation for over 20 years, in both the public and private sectors. Her experience at the City of Austin spans multiple departments including Public Works, Planning, Development Review, Capital Planning and Transportation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Geography from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration from the Penn State School of Public Affairs. Bingham. Erica joined the Houston Chronicle in 2017. Prior to that she spent ten years based in Austin, reporting on politics and economics, as the southwest correspondent for The Economist, from 2007-2012, then as a senior editor at Texas Monthly, from 2012-2016. In 2013, she published her first book, "Big, Hot, Cheap, and Right: What America Can Learn from the Strange Genius of Texas." An Air Force brat, Erica thinks of San Antonio as home. She is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas's Emerging Leaders Council, and holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs and Columbia University, where she majored in philosophy.

Significantly, at its 5/23 meeting the Austin City Council unanimously voted a resolution directing city staff to begin extensive study of information related to preserving the Palm School. Andy was named president of the Major League Soccer (MLS) club on January 3, 2019. Most recently he was president of business operations for MLS’ Columbus Crew SC. Andy provided Bingham Group with the latest updates on Austin FC, including hiring for front office and coaching staff, groundbreaking, season tickets, and its development academy, among others. Bob was first featured on BG Podcast Episode 24. What is 5G? 5G, which stands for "fifth generation," is an upcoming standard for mobile telecommunications service that promises to be significantly faster than today's 4G technology. Why you should care? It will allow users to browse the internet, upload or download videos, and use data-intensive apps or features such as virtual reality much more quickly and smoothly than is possible now. What it means for cities?
