Keeping with the Hall of Fame theme for the evening, Doug, Jon, Rusty and I will come up with the (4) people we think “should” be voted in before the official announcement the following day at 3pm Eastern. As time allows, we will also tackle some 100% Assurity picks to end the segment.

Yes, we are already in the semi-final round and tonight, Jon, Rusty and I sing for your votes to see who makes it to the finals in June! On this particular day, we met up for a quick lunch at my pal Jeremy Umansky’s restaurant, the multiple time James Beard nominated Larder Delicatessen on the west side of Bomb City, USA! After lunch, we hit the coffee shop next to Larder where we recorded this podcast. Thanks to Rebecca for taking the time to speak with me, share her passion for food, business and, most of all, the porkstrami!! 10:14pm – Kicking off the 2nd hour is a good friend of this show and one of the winningest pitmasters on the KCBS circuit over the past decade, Tim Scheer from Shake N Bake BBQ. This coming weekend, Tim and Brad Leighninger rejoin forces as “Blues Hog” competition team to attempt to snatch back to back world titles but this time in whole hog. We will talk to Tim on why they decided to veer away from shoulder this year (they won it last year) and go whole hog! I have an idea why and will pose the question to him during the interview. We will also spend a little time talking about Tim’s Marble Ridge Farms project. Marble Ridge produces high quality beef and pork for the general consumer market.
