Ep #210 Orphan: First Kill Sep 12, 2022

Show notes

Orphan: First Kill is an incorrectly titled prequel to the cult classic Orphan. I say that because if you're expecting this to be the film that establishes Esther's interest in murder and dad-fetishes, you're not going to get that. You will however get the most insane twist since 2021's Malignant (if you know, you know). Does it work? Is it good? Only one way to find out…enjoy!

Ep. 209 Good Luck Chuck Sep 05, 2022

Show notes

I recorded this episode a few weeks ago in light of some Dane Cook news hitting the media circles! Good Luck Chuck is a relatively unremarkable rom com that features a LENGTHY sex montage making it relatively remarkable to this young reviewer when his mom originally took him to see it in theaters! Enjoy this 2000's nostalgia hit

EP#208 - The Dirt Aug 22, 2022

Show notes

I'm not quite sure if Motley Crue got the biopic they deserved with The Dirt or not, but the trailer certainly had me intrigued (to say the least). If you missed this 2019 Netflix original, this may be worth listening to just so we can talk about those wigs!

EP#208 - Eurotrip Aug 17, 2022

Show notes

In the canon of American Pie-esque romps, Eurotrip clocks in as (debatably) one of the most forgettable, save for a smash hit cameo provided by the incomparable Matt Damon. Yet, somehow, the collective consciousness of both me and my guest found a nostalgic spot in our hearts for the film. So this week we decided to re-examine. Come for the random comparison of Eurotrip to Uncut Gems, and stay for the thought provoking insight about how far American politics have come.

EP#206 - Bad Boys Aug 01, 2022

Show notes

Bad Boys, the quintessential Dad movie of the 90's, has established and catapulted numerous careers over the years. Where did it all begin for Michael Bay? How did Will Smith become the mega star we know him as today? And where can you spot Megan Fox in this film? Tune in and you might find out...or you might get lost in our laborious and fumbling plot description, but hey, that's half the fun! www.patreon.com/badmoviescast www.soundpollination.com -- Twitter: @jbarbieri725 Insta: John__barbieri bookitsports Donate to support: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ms_blm_homepage_2019 https://blackvotersmatterfund.org/take-action/

EP#205 - The Gray Man Jul 26, 2022

Show notes

Another day, another 200 million dollar new release on Netflix. Is that not the saying? The Gray Man is the latest from the Russo brothers and it's caught some flack thus far from the critical community. So, it's time for us to find out if The Gray Man is just misunderstood or if it's truly deserving of condemnation.

EP#204 - Elvis Jul 18, 2022

Show notes

You asked for it. This week, we review Baz Luhrmann's Elvis. All 2 hours and 40 minutes of it. Enjoy!

EP#203 - The Princess Jul 11, 2022

Show notes

A new Hulu original movie starring Joey King? Cool. It's about a fairytale princess murdering people à laThe Raid? Cool. Olga Kurylenko wears a black wig and wields a whip? Fine, twist my arm, I'll watch it! I'll watch it! Time to find out if The Princess is better than the critics are saying!

EP#202 - Bio-Dome Jul 04, 2022

Show notes

Episode 100...you didn't want it...but we gave it to you anyway...Bio-Dome. Thank you for your continued support, and (hopefully) for 100 more episodes to come.
