Awesome Bizdads have three characteristics that form a unique man in our world. First, they have the undeniable Entrepreneur gene. Second, they aspire to be awesome men, fathers, and husbands. Lastly, they believe in the creator skill and feel destined to teach this to their children – whether to support them in creating side-projects, charities or full-blown businesses. We want to give our kids the guts and the know-how to dream and realize those dreams. About Randy

I am a husband to an amazing wife (Leah) and a father to three awesome kids. I live and work in the Phoenix, AZ area. I have been in education for over 14 years. I have been a teacher, a coach, a tutor, as well as many other hats along the way. Growing up on a small farm in Texas, I have seen first-hand how real learning takes place in the context of real life. During that time my parents homeschooled me and my siblings. Some of the greatest lessons I carry with me today took place within the relationships of my family on that farm.

As a parents, my wife and I want to build learning into the fabric of our family. We strive to incorporate those same lessons and principles we both learned growing up into the daily life around my own home.

Throughout my years in education, I have seen the need for two major things:

Stronger family units

Better preparation for our kids to enter the real world

In 2012 I began fitting the pieces together to bring the principles of life on the farm into education to help solve these two needs. That has led to Adventure Academy.

Today, I work hard to bring families together through experiential, family-based education. I can honestly say that Adventure Academy is for my family as much as it is your family. I am confident that, with each member of the Adventure Academy family, we can build a world-class community of people who can change the face of education.

Hey, what's up! My name is Matt Aitchison, or as most call me, "Matty A". I guess this is the part where I'm supposed to tell you a little about myself and how I got here.

I'm a millennial entrepreneur, 7-figure real estate investor, speaker and avid adventurist. Most importantly, I'm a proud husband and father to two beautiful girls who make life a whole lot richer.

Growing up, I always dreamed of living a big life. I wanted to be financially free, make a difference in peoples lives, travel frequently, and have a bunch of fun while doing it all. Does this sound familiar at all? I think we all share in this vision for ourselves in some capacity, right?!

Well, in my earlier years of life, I wasn't doing much to make this vision a reality. Actually, I was doing quite the opposite and my poor choices led me to being expelled from high school my senior year. Great start Matt! But hey, we all make mistakes, right? I was determined to make sure that my past didn't equal my future, so I course-corrected and made some necessary changes to get back on track.

After heading off to college, I hit another patch of self-inflicted turbulence that I am forever grateful for. I found myself in jail, facing felony charges, and my future in question. This life I so badly wanted and talked about wasn't looking too promising with the actions I was taking. My video wasn't matching my audio, and unless something changed for good, I was just going to keep repeating the same mistakes.

I overcame the criminal charges, committed to doing the extraordinary on a daily basis, and decided that entrepreneurship would be my vehicle of choice to unlock the life I'd always dreamed of. Fast forward to today, I've started several 6 and 7 figure businesses, I'm traveling the world, I get to work with some of the brightest minds on the planet, and most importantly, I have the freedom to spend my time as I choose.

Along this exciting journey, I've learned many things about life and business. While everyone has a different definition of "wealth", for me it's much more than a bunch of zero's in a bank account and the material items that are accumulated along the way. I believe wealth goes far beyond dollars and while money is important, it's meaningless if you're bankrupt in the other areas of life that lead to happiness and fulfillment.

I aim to live like a millionaire in all aspects of life; as a dad, husband, business owner, mentor, philanthropist, health enthusiast, etc. Through inspiration, action, community empowerment and connectivity, I believe we can all unlock a rich and fulfilling life if we choose to. It's time to unleash your millionaire within and start living the life you were meant for. Let's enjoy this journey together!
