What if sound could do more than simply move us emotionally?

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter sits down with renowned sound-healing pioneers Jonathan and Andi Goldman to explore the relationship between sound, vibration, consciousness, and healing.

Together, they unpack the science behind frequency, the role of intention in sound healing, and the four foundational elements they believe shape its impact: vibration, intention, uniqueness, and silence. WHEN YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM IS DYSREGULATED Oct 09, 2026
    Show notes

What if nervous system regulation is only one part of a much larger story?

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter takes the conversation around nervous system dysregulation one level deeper, exploring what may exist upstream from the physical responses we experience in the body. Rather than viewing the nervous system as an isolated system to manage or fix, she invites us to consider the energetic organization, information, and intelligence that precede physical form.

CREATING IN THE DARK Oct 02, 2026
    Show notes

What happens when you know something is unfolding, but there is no physical evidence of it yet?

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter explores what it means to create in the dark: to remain present, receptive, and engaged while the next expression of life is still taking form. She looks at why the protective mind searches for certainty and familiar reference points, and how that instinct can make the unknown feel like nothing is happening when something may already be reorganizing beneath the surface.

STOP COMPARING, START LIVING Sep 04, 2026
    Show notes

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter explores the hidden cost of comparison and how easily someone else’s success, relationship, body, or timing can make us question our own lives.

Rather than treating comparison as something to simply “stop doing,” Dr. Sue looks at what it may be revealing beneath the surface, from scarcity and self-doubt to unacknowledged desires and borrowed expectations. She also explores how comparison can pull our awareness out of the body and away from our own path, especially in a world where we are constantly exposed to other people’s lives.

This episode is an invitation to reclaim the energy spent measuring, judging, and second-guessing, and return to your own truth, timing, and experience with greater presence and trust.

WHY YOU KEEP LEAVING THINGS UNFINISHED Aug 21, 2026
    Show notes

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter explores what may really be happening beneath procrastination, unfinished projects, and the things we keep putting off. Rather than seeing a lack of follow-through as laziness or failure, she invites us to look at the deeper patterns that can make completion feel vulnerable, including perfectionism, fear of being seen, uncertainty, and the identity shifts that can come with finishing what we started.

Dr. Sue also explores the energy we leave tied up in incomplete decisions and open loops, and how conscious completion does not always mean pushing through. Sometimes it means finishing. Sometimes it means clearly choosing to let go. Through greater awareness, listeners are invited to reclaim the energy held in what remains unresolved, take the next honest step, and build deeper trust in themselves and what they are here to create.

EMBODIED AWAKENING IN THE AGE OF AI: WITH MASTER MINGTONG GU Aug 14, 2026
    Show notes

In this episode of The Art of Awakening, Dr. Sue Morter welcomes Qigong Master Mingtong Gu for a timely conversation about embodied awakening, energy cultivation, and what it means to remain deeply human in an increasingly technological world.

Master Mingtong shares that awakening is not simply a shift in thought or consciousness. It is a return to the body. Many of us have learned to live primarily through the mind, disconnected from the deeper intelligence, feeling, and energetic awareness available within us. Through Qigong and meditation, we can begin to reconnect with the body, recognize where energy has become restricted, and create the conditions for healing to unfold naturally.

Together, Dr. Sue and Master Mingtong explore the relationship between energy and awareness, why the body holds truths the mind may attempt to avoid, and how learning to feel more fully can support genuine transformation. They discuss the importance of meeting discomfort with patience rather than trying to force change, recognizing that healing is an ongoing process of restoring movement, connection, and presence.

The conversation also turns toward artificial intelligence and the uncertainty surrounding its growing role in our lives. While AI can expand creativity, access, and possibility, Master Mingtong emphasizes that it cannot replace the lived human experience. In a world increasingly shaped by technology, discernment becomes essential. We must learn to engage with these tools consciously without surrendering our connection to the body, nature, intuition, and one another.

This episode is an invitation to embrace the paradox of being human: imperfect yet evolving, visible yet connected to the unseen, and capable of meeting profound change without losing ourselves. Master Mingtong reminds us that our greatest source of hope and empowerment resides in our ability to come home to the body, cultivate our energy, and embody the change we wish to see in the world.
