If you've ever seen "The Purge" and you happen to live in Los Angeles at the moment, you might be seeing some eerily familiar scenes. Riots broke out throughout the city this weekend and have destroyed hundreds of small and large businesses throughout the city. Yesterday Phelim took to the streets in Santa Monica and Venice to report on the looting that has been spreading throughout the city.

We also talk about a second "purge" in Los Angeles and that is the massive amount of taxpayers who are now fleeing the city. With the draconian COVID lockdowns, the skyrocketing crime, the growing homeless population - Hollywood is about to see a deep decline in taxpayers.

We also examine more of the hypocrisy of the protests. Why is it that protesting was considered a radical danger to public health just a week ago? What happened to the cries that protesting would lead to massive spikes of COVID-19?

Happy Friday! We hope you have some wonderful weekend plans ahead of you and that your state is transitioning quickly out of lockdown. On today's episode we talk about the horrific riots happening around the country. The mainstream media is trying to downplay the riots that are destroying small businesses and burning down buildings across Minneapolis. We explain the laughable language they use to describe one of the most violent riots in recent history.

We also discuss an article from the Irish Times that downplays the lockdown's effect on small businesses across Ireland. New travel restrictions that require visitors to quarantine will all but kill tourism in Ireland. The media seems to think these restrictions won't REALLY affect anyone - it's another example of the media's complete misunderstanding of basic economics.

Also on today's episode we discuss Dr. Anthony Fauci's ever-changing views on masks and the rising opioid afflictions in Ohio.

Daily Virus #36 | Lockdown Hypocrites May 28, 2020

It's been MONTHS of lockdowns all across America and as most states slowly reopen, the governors who are keeping their states on lockdown are showing their hypocrisy. Two of the most controversial governors in the country have been caught breaking their own rules. You have to hear these hilarious lockdown hypocrisy stories about pro-lockdown politicians across the world. It shows that even the most "woke" among us don't believe the seriousness of these irrelevant rules.

Also on today's episode we discuss the media's constant fear mongering and their hope for the worst possible outcomes. The coronavirus death toll has reportedly hit 100,000 and the media continues to push their scare tactics despite declining numbers across the country. Not only are they blaming President Trump for these deaths, they're also blaming him for the economic decline from the lockdowns. The same lockdowns they were cheering for just weeks ago.

Lastly, we take a look at some of the city workers who are benefiting in the time of lockdowns and economic turmoil. The City of Los Angeles will face a massive budget deficit this year and yet they're going to give some city workers a massive raise.

We’re back with another exciting episode of The Ann & Phelim Scoop after nearly two and a half months in lockdown. Today we’re joined by Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch to talk about the Obamagate scandal and voter fraud!

You may recall that the Imperial College COVID-19 Model resulted in dramatic lockdown measures all around the world, including in the United States. Now we know that the model was deeply flawed. Is it time to stop relying on models at all?

Tom Fitton, the President of Judicial Watch joins us this week to discuss his organization’s noble efforts to uncover government corruption. Tom explains the latest on “Obamagate” and the corruption within President Obama’s FBI and its attempts to stop President Trump’s election. It is absolutely absurd that the former president used a federal agency to spy on his political opponents!

Judicial Watch is currently working with The Daily Caller to obtain records of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s correspondence with the World Health Organization. What did these officials think about COVID-19 during the early days of the pandemic? How much of the American response to the pandemic was based upon false or misleading information from the Chinese?

Lastly, Tom explains Judicial Watch’s efforts to uncover and stop voter fraud across the country. With the left working quickly to pass massive mail-in voting laws across the country, Judicial Watch is exposing how insecure mail-in ballots truly are.

We hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! We were finally able to have a lovely dinner in a restaurant for the first time in many months. We share with you the new ways restaurants in California are working to adhere to Gavin Newsom's new guidelines.

On today's episode we also take a look at a very interesting story of an author who passed away of COVID-19. It turns out this notable author was living a complete lie and that his lavish lifestyle as a writer was founded on a completely false identity. You've got to hear this bizarre story.

As you likely know by now, the lockdowns are doing much more harm than good and in many parts of America suicide rates are skyrocketing as leftist governments refuse to open. We take a look at the data and some of the shocking stories throughout the county.

And FINALLY Joe Biden has emerged from his home this Memorial Day weekend. We examine Joe's first public appearance in months and discuss what this may mean for his campaign.

On today's episode we discuss President Trump's statement that if we see a second wave in COVID-19 cases/deaths that we will not shutdown the country. Does President Trump have this power? Senator Kamala Harris has a "brave" and "bold" new proposal that is a colossal waste of time as her state sees record high unemployment, business closures, and poverty. Reality is more ridiculous than the Onion.

New reports are saying that the virus is actually fading in London. We discuss why the mainstream media likely won't cover this important update that will set the stage for the U.K.'s reopening of its most populated city.

Finally, we discuss one of the most controversial topics of the coronavirus. It has been pointed out by a listener that we **may** be pronouncing Worldometer wrong. We discuss why we think we are still right ;)

Daily Virus #33 | Voter Fraud In Michigan? May 21, 2020

On today's episode we set the record straight on the media's most recent lies about the virus. We start with their latest doomsday articles about Brazil. If you believed the media's narrative, you'd think that Brazil has one of the highest death rates per million in the world. In reality, Brazil has one of the lower death rates for a country of their massive size. In fact, they are 27th on the global deaths per million toll. We discuss why the media wants you to believe differently.

We also revisit Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer today. Michigan made headlines yesterday because according to a tweet by President Trump, Michigan's Secretary of State took the liberty of sending everyone in the state absentee ballot applications that could appear to be encouraging all Michiganders to vote by mail. We discuss Trump's allegations of potential voter fraud and how mail in ballots are the most susceptible for fraud.

Finally, we examine the TRUE timeline about the virus. Outlets like the New York Times and CNN want you to believe that it's Trump who has "blood on his hands" from the death toll but the truth is Governors like Andrew Cuomo were downplaying the virus for weeks.

#43: LOCKDOWN Legal Battle With John Waters May 20, 2020

Today we are joined by Irish journalist John Waters who went toe to toe with the Irish government to overturn the country’s stringent lockdown.

First up this week, we couldn’t resist discussing the incredible piece in The New York Times about Ronan Farrow’s misguided reporting style. You may remember Farrow from his groundbreaking investigative work into the Harvey Weinstein scandal that helped to launch the #MeToo movement. He has largely been commended as a hero by the mainstream media and the left. At least until this Times piece from Ben Smith. You won’t want to miss it.

Then, we catch up with John Waters, who discussed his experiences in Ireland during the course of this pandemic. John recently took legal action against the Irish lockdown measures and fills us in on all of the details. You might be surprised if you thought the United States was the only nation abridging freedoms during this pandemic. In Ireland, some of the lockdown measures are just as draconian and just as ridiculous. We also discuss some potentially positive reactions to these insane measures, both in Ireland and the United States. Will more people finally speak out against media malpractice and big government solutions - both of which we’ve seen increase during this pandemic? Let’s hope so.

Daily Virus #32 | How Inflated Are The COVID Numbers? May 19, 2020

A battle appears to be brewing in the White House between Dr. Deborah Birx and the CDC. Birx claims that she can't trust the CDC's death toll numbers which is not surprising since the numbers have come under much scrutiny and Democratic Governor Jared Polis recently reduced Colorado's death toll. How inflated are the numbers? Birx thinks they could be inflated by as much as 25%.

On today's episode we also talk about Senator Ben Sasse's lighthearted commencement speech that was lambasted in the media for absolutely no reason other than that he was a Republican. Sasse took a fun but informative approach to the speech and the media attacked him for a slew of nonsensical reasons. The Senator from Nebraska tried to bring a little levity to thousands of young people who are entering one of the worst economies in history and the media couldn't help themselves.

Also on today's episode we discuss the UN's misplaced priorities. Instead of working to update people on the coronavirus or public health, they've taken to Twitter to create a gender neutral language guide. Good grief!

Daily Virus #31 | Cuomo Is NOT The Hero May 18, 2020

On today's episode of the Virus we discuss the media's continued attempts to make Governor Andrew Cuomo (aka Governor Hot Spot) the hero of the coronavirus story. That could not be further from the truth. Governor Hot Spot is under much scrutiny for how his executive orders may have led to the deaths of hundreds (if not thousands) of nursing home patients in New York. Now he's trying to turn the tables and the media is helping him.

We also discuss Obama's viral commencement speech that attacked President Trump's handling of the coronavirus. The media flocked to cover the event all while many mainstream outlets nearly ignore the Obamagate scandal and brush it off as a conspiracy.

Today we also coin a new term . . . "welfare capitalists." These are the hundreds of thousands of Americans on unemployment who don't want to return to work because they are making more money sitting at home. Can you blame them? We discuss how this affects our economy, business owners, and the future of reopening.

Lastly, we talk about how "nativism" has returned and the left are pioneering it! Activists in states and countries across the world are discouraging tourism and working to keep nonresidents out of their communities.
