Adam Mares and Tim Legler break down a night of NBA Cup action, starting with the New York Knicks controlling their matchup against the Raptors behind another strong performance from Jalen Brunson. They discuss whether Brandon Ingram has finally found the perfect fit in Toronto and what it would mean for the Knicks to win the NBA Cup. The guys also dive into the Orlando Magic’s impressive victory over Miami without Franz Wagner, Desmond Bane’s big night, and how high Paolo Banchero’s ceiling truly is. Later, they react to the season-ending injury for Derek Lively and what it means for the Dallas Mavericks, whether the league has figured out the Heat’s offense, and why the Golden State Warriors continue to underwhelm. They assess the title chances for the Lakers, Suns, Nuggets, Timberwolves and Grizzlies, and debate which teams have real playoff upset potential, including the San Antonio Spurs.
