    The Alive & Free Podcast

We have been on a relentless journey for over a decade to live whole hearted and connected to God and others (actually connected). As a byproduct of this journey, we became life coaches (by accident) in 2018 and have now worked with over 32,000 believers. We have committed to documenting what we’ve learned in our lives as well as what we’ve learned from our clients and that’s why we started the Alive & Free Podcast…to offer whatever we can to other believers that don’t want to settle for mediocre connection in their lives and relationships. We cover conflict, pain, forgiveness, addictions, coping, sin, codependency, as well as many other topics. Welcome to the conversation.

Balancing Contentment and the Desire for More Mar 22, 2022
    Show notes

We've seen people often fall into two extremes of thought...

Either "focus on what you want, relentlessly, and confidently expect it until you step into it...be obsessive and go after your dreams."

    Or...

"Just be content...desire for nothing- in fact kill you desires and just be okay with no pleasure or desires fulfilled and definitely don't dream..."

Is balance between the two what's healthy?

Or is there another way to look at it?

Sammi and Spencer talk about their journey around maintaining a relationship with their hearts desires, submitting to God, wrestling with contentment and dreaming, and all the questions that come with it.
