    York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden told reporters Wanzhen Lu walked up to a home on Doe Lake Road before 9 p.m. on Tuesday to ask for help.

    “He knocked on the door of the residence and a homeowner found him there and called police right away,” Pattenden said.

    ‘Most appalling’: Manitoba Bar Association blasts reports about Wilson-Raybould’s Supreme Court pick Mar 27, 2019

    Alex is joined by Lisa Raitt, Deputy Minister of the Conservative Party to discuss The Manitoba Bar Association (MBA). It has has issued a blistering statement in support of a top judge after reports relayed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s concerns about him when Trudeau’s ex-attorney general recommended the judge be elevated to Canada’s highest court.

    On Monday, leaks by anonymous sources to CTV News and The Canadian Press suggested that Jody Wilson-Raybould had recommended Glenn Joyal, chief justice of Manitoba’s highest trial court, be made chief justice of the Supreme Court of Canada (SCC), despite not holding a seat on that bench.

    Amid ongoing talks between the Ontario government and the City of Toronto about uploading the TTC’s subway system, newly released documents from the province raise the possibility of major changes to several transit projects.

    Toronto city council is set to vote during its meeting on Wednesday on whether to spend $2 million towards hiring additional staff and obtaining third-party advice as negotiations continue between the province and the city. However, on Tuesday, officials posted additional letters and reports relating to the upload discussions on the city’s website.
