    Episode # 80 -- "The Lover" (10/22/09) Oct 28, 2009
    Show notes

Episode # 80 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin contemplating pulling the old switcheroo. I'm a motherlover, you're a motherlover... When Jim and Pam return from their honeymoon, Michael confides to Jim that he's taken Pam's mom for a lover, and her seats go all the way down. All. The. Way. Down. Jim is skeptical, but surely Pam, more than anything, wants Michael to be happy, RIGHT? Meanwhile, Dwight crafts a fiendish plan to bug Jim's office, but will he be 'hoisted by his own mallard'? hey, he's NOT insane! One thing's for sure, though-- I DO look damn fine in this fedora. The Office -- Episode #6.07 "The Lover" Oct 22, 2009
    Show notes

From Wikipedia:THE LOVER | 10.22.09Jim and Pam return from their honeymoon and are shocked when Michael reveals the identity of a woman he has been dating recently. Dwight makes a strange peace offering to Jim after years of torment. --------This plot line has the potential to go horribly, horribly wrong if not handled correctly-- I almost wonder how they could possibly surprise us with the way this story will play out. Can't we already imagine it? Pam (and Jim) are disgusted, Michael acts like Pam's father, etc., etc. I hope writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky can wring something new out of a rather tired premise. The Dwight plotline sounds interesting, and hopefully it connects back into the season long arc of "Dwight getting revenge on Jim" that they've ignored for the past few episodes. As always, leave your thoughts in the comments section below and join Kevin and me in the TWSS Chatroom during and after the show to share your thoughts (click on the green "chat" button in the right sidebar).

    Episode # 79 -- "Mafia" (10/15/09) Oct 21, 2009
    Show notes

Episode # 79 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin leaving the gun and taking the cannoli. Fuggeddaboutit! With Pam and Jim gone to Puerto Rico on their honeymoon, the coalition of reason finds itself a few bricks short of a full load. When Michael is propositioned by the Cosa Nostra (OR maybe Mutual of Harrisburg, whichever) he turns to his soldatis Dwight and Andy for backup. Capitulate? Fight back? What's a coward to do? Meanwhile, Kevin squats in Jim's office, and Stanley and Meredith confront Erin about her beef with Pam. Don't even get me started on the painting incident! If she ain't careful, this new cafone receptionist is gonna be fitted for a pair of concrete overshoes! Incidental music provided by the Podshow Podsafe Music Network. The Office -- Episode #6.06 "Mafia" Oct 15, 2009
    Show notes

Hey, NBC.com-- any time you want to update your "Next On" page, just let me know. From Wikipedia:MAFIA | 10.15.09Michael meets with an insurance salesman and is convinced by Dwight and Andy that he is part of the mafia. Erin accidentally ruins Pam's painting. -----I'm still awash in thoughts of "Niagara," so I can barely think about this new episode. From what I recall Paul Lieberstein saying before the season began, the events in "Mafia" come about due to Jim and Pam being on their honeymoon-- when the voices of reason are away, the idiots will play. Hopefully things don't get too broad and ridiculous here, as the traditional "Sopranos/Mafia/Godfather" stuff has been mined so often in other media. Can they find a fresh take on this? Let's hope so.As always, leave your thoughts in the comments section below and join Kevin and me in the TWSS Chatroom during and after the show to share your thoughts (click on the green "chat" button in the right sidebar).

    Episode # 78 -- "Niagara" (10/8/09) Oct 15, 2009
    Show notes

Episode # 78 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin wondering where they left their car keys. It's a nice day for a white wedding. Jim and Pam are finally off to tie the knot in Niagara Falls, with the rest of the Scranton branch in tow. Surely, THIS TIME, nothing will go wrong, right? Once there Michael and Dwight go on the prowl, Kevin debuts his new hair (and shoes), Oscar gets insulted, Meemaw hates on Charlie Rose, Andy tears his scrot, Erin shows her ass, Pam's mom is replaced, Jim's brothers are dicks, and only the Maid of the Mist can save the day. Oh, and aparently the ending is based on some YouTube clip I've never heard of. One thing is for certain, though-- what happens in Niagara, STAYS in Niagara. The Office -- Episodes #6.04/6.05 "Niagara" Oct 08, 2009
    Show notes

NBC.com STILL hasn't bothered to update their "next on" page since "The Meeting," so once again this comes from Wikipedia:NIAGARA | 10.08.09 | 9/8c (one hour)The Office travels to Niagara Falls to celebrate Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam's (Jenna Fischer) wedding. Michael (Steve Carell), Dwight (Rainn Wilson), and Andy (Ed Helms) all want to hook up with guests at the wedding and Michael and Dwight meet twins.---------So here we are-- the culmination of five years of Jim and Pam romance. NBC is promoting this as "the happy ending," but that seems kind of bizarre to me since we still have twenty or so episodes left in the season, and who knows how many more after that. Still, OK, I get it. We all have (or HAD) a big emotional investment in these characters, and this DOES seem like it should be a big deal, but part of me feels like I am just really over this whole thing. I remember saying that at the end of season three, though, and "The Job" managed to win me back, so maybe tonight's hour long ep will make my grinchy heart grow ten sizes. What do you guys think? Are you excited for this? Have you been looking forward to it, or is it just an hour of "been there, done that"?As always, leave your thoughts in the comments section below and join Kevin and me in the TWSS Chatroom during and after the show to share your thoughts (click on the green "chat" button in the right sidebar).

    Episode # 77 -- "The Promotion" (10/1/09) Oct 07, 2009
    Show notes

Episode # 77 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin wondering which parts of the podcast fall under the heading of 'big picture issues.' It takes two to make a thing go right; it takes two to make it out of sight. When corporate decrees no cost of living raises, co-managers Michael and Jim have to stop their power struggle and work together to break the news. What's that? Two managers? Go ahead, NAME a country that doesn't have two presidents. Meanwhile, Dwight plans another coup, Pam begs for cash, and Ryan finally perfects his betting system. Surely, this can only end well. The Office -- Episode #6.03 THE PROMOTION Oct 01, 2009
    Show notes

NBC.com hasn't bothered to update yet, so via Wikipedia: THE PROMOTION | 10.01.09 | 9/8c David Wallace breaks the bad news that not everyone will get a raise this year. Dwight reaches his breaking point with Jim and looks to the rest of the office for allies. Pam would like cash instead of wedding gifts. ------------- Kevin and I speculated on this episode in the last podcast, and I hope the writers really explore this "Dwight's revenge" angle to a satisfactory conclusion-- after all these years of Jim's shenanigans, it'd be nice to see the tables be turned and see how Halpert deals with jerky employees who don't want to do their jobs. Sweet, sweet karma, don't fail me now! As always, join Kevin and me in the TWSS Chatroom before and after the show (I'll be taking the Eastern and Central times, while Kevin will handle the Pacific). Just click on the GREEN button in the right side-bar, enter your nickname, and chat away. Hope to see you there.

    Episode # 76 -- "Gossip" & "The Meeting" (9/17, 9/24/09) Sep 29, 2009
    Show notes

Episode # 76 of THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID finds both Matt and Kevin wondering if that gossip about them is true. Lookit all these rumors, surrounding us ev-ree day-ay. When Michael feels left out of the gossip loop, he goes hunting for a juicy tidbit to get him back in the game. Is Stanley cheating? Pam pregnant? Andy gay? Only one man knows for sure. Later, when Jim holds a secret meeting with Wallace, Michael's paranoia torpedoes the S. S. Tuna. Will Michael choose friendship over management? Then, in a world where insurance fraud runs rampant, can two men uncover the truth? One thing's for sure-- Darryl's sister equals aytch oh tee HOT.
