Maybe home wasn't such a bad place after all. Of course I only realize that when we're stuck here with no way back to the coffee shop, let alone home. I hope we make it through all this before everything around me just feels...normal. That won't happen, right?

The Pixie Trap is a place I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Yeah, it might look nice enough. But you pull back the pretty holograms, expensive liquor, and the high-class, cigar smoking stuffed shirts that frequent the place, you're going to find a bunch of decent people who might not have much of a choice in their form of employment. It's just not something I love to see. So walking into the place, forcing myself to play nice with everyone there? Yeah, it's an issue. But I'll take one for the team.

This place is weird. It is weird, right? Something's just off, and I'm not sure if it's all these new memories or the lack of contact with anyone on the outside or the fact that we're really not sure we can trust anyone around us. But I am on edge, and I don't think I'm going to like the side of me it brings out. Regardless, there's no cheating this mission. No loopholes, no trigger hopping. All we can do is follow the trail laid out for us and hope for the best. Time to get to work.

Much has changed since then, but I can't help but feel the loneliness creep back in as I concentrate on my research. There's so much left to uncover and so little time to do it. I hope my family will be okay. I hope they find who they are looking for. I hope when I see them again, I can finally mean it when I say everything will be fine.

Sometimes I wish we didn't have to go through things like this, that our lives weren't this complicated anymore. We've seen some awesome things but is it really worth the price of a friend looking at you and feeling nothing?

I think the easiest way to describe what happened in the city that night would be insanity. Not for the general public, mind you. Oh no, all those families safely tucked away in their beds. I'm talking about the underground scene. Six feet under, if you catch my drift. There was so much blood and fire flying every which way that night I just about lost track of it all. And of course, that's when the real insanity started coming out.
