Get on target faster with a reliable tube style red dot sight rifle scope. Dec 29, 2022

Show notes

I may be biased but only because I did the leg work in finding and testing tube style red dot sights before launching our own branded tube style red dot sight!

However, everyone is different and feels differently so I'm going to just share what I know about tube style red dot sights.

Get on target faster with our Match 1.0 Tube Style Red Dot Sight

Tube style red dot rifle sights are a popular choice among shooters looking to improve their accuracy and speed when aiming at a target. These optics are designed to be mounted on a firearm, such as a rifle or shotgun, and they use a red dot or other reticle to help the shooter aim.

Tube style red dot sights are characterized by their cylindrical shape, which is similar to a traditional telescopic sight. However, unlike a telescopic sight, a red dot sight does not have magnification, so it does not make the target appear closer. Instead, the red dot or reticle is used to aim the firearm at the target.

One of the main benefits of a tube style red dot sight is that it allows the shooter to keep both eyes open while aiming, which can improve their situational awareness and overall shooting performance. These sights are also generally lightweight and compact, making them easy to mount and carry.

Tube style red dot sights are suitable for a wide range of shooting applications, including hunting, competitive shooting, and self-defense. They are known for their durability and reliability, and they are often favored by shooters who want a simple and effective aiming solution for their firearm.

Exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. It is time to take that first step. IDPA Classification match.

The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and involves the use of handguns. IDPA classification is a system used to group shooters based on their skill level and performance in IDPA matches. The goal of classification is to create a level playing field for competitors and to ensure that shooters are matched with others of similar skill level.

To earn an IDPA classification, a shooter must compete in a minimum of four IDPA matches and achieve a certain level of performance. There are six classifications in IDPA, ranging from the highest level (Master) to the lowest (Unclassified). The classifications are based on the shooter's time and accuracy in various stages of an IDPA match, as well as their overall score.

IDPA classification is an ongoing process, as shooters can improve their skills and move up to higher classifications over time. This system helps to promote growth and improvement in the IDPA community, as shooters have the opportunity to test their skills against others of similar ability. It also helps to ensure that matches are fair and competitive, as shooters are not pitted against opponents who are significantly more skilled or experienced.

Red dot reflex scopes are sights that use a small, mirrored surface to project a red dot reticle onto the shooter's field of view. They are designed to help the user aim their firearm more accurately at close to medium ranges.

One of the main advantages of red dot reflex scopes is their ease of use. The red dot is displayed on the same plane as the target, making it easy to align the dot with the target and shoot accurately. They are also lightweight and compact, making them ideal for use on a variety of firearms, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns.

Red dot reflex scopes typically have a wide field of view and a simple, uncluttered reticle, which can be useful for shooting in dynamic situations or at close range. They are also often equipped with adjustable brightness settings, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the intensity of the red dot to match the lighting conditions.

Overall, red dot reflex scopes are a popular choice among shooters due to their simplicity and accuracy. They are suitable for a wide range of shooting activities, including hunting, target shooting, and tactical shooting.

The Concealed Carry Boom: Why More and More People are Carrying Guns Dec 17, 2022

Show notes

I am going through the process of getting my concealed carry permit and think that its a great move. The reasons why concealed carry is becoming much popular is a long list, but here is what I nailed it down to:

Self-defense: Many people carry guns for self-defense purposes, either because they feel that their personal safety is at risk or because they live in an area with high crime rates. Carrying a gun can provide a sense of security and protection against potential threats.
Empowerment: Some people carry guns as a way of feeling more empowered and in control of their surroundings. Carrying a gun can give people a sense of agency and the ability to defend themselves if necessary.
Political beliefs: For some people, carrying a gun is a way of expressing their support for gun rights and the Second Amendment. These individuals may believe that owning and carrying a gun is an important right that should be protected.
Cultural and social norms: In some communities, carrying a gun is seen as a normal and acceptable activity. These communities may have a strong gun culture, and carrying a gun may be seen as a way of upholding traditional values and norms.
Personal preference: Finally, some people may simply enjoy the experience of carrying a gun and the sense of responsibility that it brings. They may find that carrying a gun is a meaningful and fulfilling hobby.
