They sat down on September to 1st and chatted about Côme’s preference for narrative games, the need for happier, more hopeful games to help us in these trying times, and of course, his game Two Summers, a game where players take the role of the same characters at two different time periods: as teenagers in the 1990s and as adults 30 years later.     Today on the show Amber chatted with Australian game designer and artist Shaun Sunday aka @BrainBeastStudios. They sat down on August 27th to discuss Shaun’s D&D 5E player screen. The screen helps new and neurodivergent players track mechanics of the game by keeping highly referenced information in front of players. Along the way, they discussed R. A. Salvatore’s Forgotten Realms novels, social media management, and making tabletop games more inclusive through design.

    Today on the show Amber spoke with Dylan Goss, who is writing a webcomic called Mara based on his level 1-20 5e D&D campaign. The titular character Mara is displaced from her homeland and seeks fulfillment in the world at large. Amber chatted with Dylan on August 24 about turning the campaign into a cohesive and engaging narrative, finding an illustrator and the working relationship between the two, and the power of language both within Mara and in real life as well.
