Syracuse basketball shoots its way to a get-right win over Pittsburgh Jan 17, 2024
    Show notes

Brent Axe chats live following Syracuse basketball's 69-58 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

The Orange got a much-needed bounce back win against the Panthers after losing to North Carolina 107-63, its worst ACC ever. Brent was impressed with SU's balance and patience overall on offense, but especially from J.J. Starling who had 17 points.

It's a Quad 1 victory for Syracuse, but we'll see for how long. Pitt has to stay in range (between 1-75 in the NCAA NET ranking) for it to stay there. Can SU start a streak with 3 straight games coming at the Dome starting on Saturday against Miami?

Debacle in the Dean Dome: Syracuse basketball suffers its worst ACC loss ever to UNC Jan 13, 2024

Brent then goes over the key problem Syracuse may not have a solution for and what Judah Mintz has to improve on as a leader if Syracuse is going to improve as a team.

Syracuse squanders huge lead against BC but holds on for key ACC win Jan 11, 2024
    Show notes

Brent Axe chats live following Syracuse basketball's 69-59 win over the Boston College Eagles at the JMA Wireless Dome on Wednesday night.

It was a wild game at the Dome as Syracuse led by 19-points, lost that lead, but fought tooth-and-nail with BC in the 2nd half to grab a key win.

Why was Judah Mintz missing from the starting lineup? What's the plan with Naheem McLeod out indefinitely with a foot injury? How did Maliq Brown find space to score in the 2nd half and what led to Chris Bell breaking out of a slump for a 20-point night?

We discussed it all and heard from Mintz, Bell and Brown as well from the locker room. '

Brent also reacted to texts and opinions on the game from our Syracuse Sports Insiders.
