Season 45 JABBIC Part 1 Sep 18, 2023

Show notes

Welcome to Part 1 of our JABBIC, Judge A Book By Its Cover, preseason show for season 45. Once again, we have all new players, so we have limited information to go on when theorizing how we think they will perform. We have shared our early thoughts on each of the castaways including how well we think they will do in the overall game to kick off another season of watching Survivor together.

Now it is your turn. We want to hear what you think about the 18 castaways and how you think they'll approach the twists, high risk advantages, and quite possibly the return of the Survivor Auction. Let us know how well you think they will or won't do this season. We want to hear about who you had the strongest reaction to. Who's going to be voted out first? Who's your pick for final four and the sole Survivor?

Send in your predictions, keep it to 3 minutes. Get your responses to us by noon PST on Saturday, September 23rd. Try not to think too long about it, just go with your first impression. Check out Paul's Visual Roster to help you collect your thoughts.

JSFL, our Survivor Fantasy League, registration is open! If you would like to join in the fun, click on this link: JSFL Registration and get your picks in before registration closes on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:30pm EST, 4:30pm PST. You'll have to decide who you think will win it all, who will be voted out first, and four castaways that will still be in the game at the end of the episode. Reminder: you have to listen to the podcast to hear the Listener Reward Bonus questions.

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-1547 or toll-free at 844-643-8737. You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com.

Season 44 Week 11 LF May 14, 2023

Show notes

There's a bit of a division brewing in the fan base. Either you're all aboard for the most featured player of the season, or the show's coming up lacking since the coverage of others is once again, shallow. We're looking forward to seeing if the underdogs can hold it together for another round of the game, and can't wait for another dose of our favorite show on Wednesday.

Season 44 Week 10 LF May 06, 2023

Show notes

The consensus from the fans is clear. You DO NOT want to win a reward challenge that can trigger resentment from those not chosen to attend, especially when it involves letters from home. Many were sad to see another fan favorite join the jury, and fret that we might end up with a flat finale if this trend continues. In any case, we are excited to see how the game develops in the next episode on Wednesday!

Season 44 Week 10 Recap May 04, 2023

Show notes

It's an age old, strategic Survivor question, "Should you try and win a challenge when you know you are guaranteed to make some people happy and others angry when you have to decide who will join you on a Reward?" These do not usually end well for the winner. What would you do? We're down to seven now. Who's social game is coming up short? Who will be the swing vote in the next Tribal?

How did your assessment of the castaways change after this week's gameplay? Who do you think is playing the best, and who is in jeopardy of being voted out next? Who impressed you the most?

The fans continue to ask, "How is making the castaways starve to the point of degraded gameplay the recipe for great TV moments"? Nobody's buying it. Regardless, we're curious how long the voting along original tribal lines will continue and excited to see where the game is headed next.
