Cook Islands: Episode 6 Oct 20, 2006

Show notes

Who were you most impressed by in the reward challenge? What strategy would you have used to avoid being dragged to the line? What did you think of Plan Voodoo? Each tribe had to lose someone this week. What did you think of their choices? Have you been able to figure out exactly who is in control at Rarotonga? Who would you have chosen to "kidnap" from Raro?

Here are the tribes after episode 6. Aitutaki: Becky, Candice, Jessica, Jonathan, Ozzy, Sundra, and Yul Rarotonga: Adam, Brad, Jenny, Nathan, Parvati, and Rebbeca

The finale is scheduled for December 17th, and starts with a final five instead of the typical final four. If they have one episode a week from now till then, they will not need to have another double elimination. Jo Ann thinks Jessica will be voted off next, and Stacy thinks it will be Ozzy.

Who is your pick for next to get voted out?

Cook Islands Episode 5 Listener Feedback Oct 18, 2006

Show notes

Episode 5 included some extremely comment worthy material and we really enjoy getting to share your particular views with the audience.

This week we hear from: Shelley, Hanna, Paul, Brian, Rob, Jason, Brad, Graham, Dave, Bob, and Sandi.

The intro music is dedicated primarily to Cristina who refused to accept responsiblity for her own actions. From the previews for episode 6 it looks like we're in for another rumble similar to the Battle Dig from Survivor Panama Exile Island. Cook Islands: Episode 5 Oct 13, 2006

Show notes

Ok, let's try this again. Who is really in charge at Rarotonga now? After episode 4, we thought it was clearly the women. Now, we're not so sure. As Listener Bob in Minnesota pointed out last week. Female alliances are rarely sustainable. Do you think they will really be able to regroup and come back to win after losing their weakest physical player?

Survivor Pop Quiz:

1) When is it ok to say you're weak or ready to leave the game? 2) When is it ok to tell everyone that the hidden immunity idol is no longer on Exile Island? 3) When is it a good idea to talk incessantly or to boss others around? 4) When is it a good idea to paddle out almost 4 miles in a small boat to go adventuring?

There are quite a few Survivors this season that could really use some help with the answers. :)

Check this out! Listener Graham in Scotland broke out some Google Earth topography skills and figured out how far the three stooges from Aitu had to paddle to get to Raro's island.

Here are the tribes after episode 5. Aitutaki: Becky, Candice, Cao Boi, Jessica, Jonathan, Ozzy, Sundra, and Yul Rarotonga: Adam, Brad, Cristina, Jenny, Nathan, Parvati, and Rebbeca

We're finally going to get a double elimination in episode 6. We think it will be Cao Boi on Aitu and and Cristina is our pick for Raro.

Who are your picks for next to get voted out?

The intro this week is dedicated to everyone that had to listen to Cao Boi. The outro music is dedicated to Cao Boi, Cristina, Jonathan, Jessica, Nate, Ozzy and Stephannie. Perhaps it's a group case of dehydration affecting their mental faculties. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Shut Up by 77 South Dumb by Wylde Bunch

The intro music is dedicated to JP. The Rarotonga women sent a strong message to the men: "You are not safe". The outro music looks forward to episode 5 where Aitu pays an unwelcomed visit to Raro's island. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Cook Islands: Episode 4 Oct 06, 2006

Show notes

Who is really in charge at Rarotonga now? Do you think they will really be able to regroup and come back to win after losing their strongest physical player?

What do you think is most important this season: brains or brawn? Would you keep sad sack Ozzy around or discard him the first chance you got? Who's smarter: Parvati or Nathan? Would you have had the guts to vote out your physically strongest asset?

Here are the tribes after episode 4. Aitutaki: Becky, Candice, Cao Boi, Jessica, Jonathan, Ozzy, Sundra, and Yul Rarotonga: Adam, Brad, Cristina, Jenny, Nathan, Parvati, Rebbeca, and Stephannie

We just wrapped episode four and there are still 16 people in the game. Will this finally be a double elimination week? We think it will be Cao Boi on Aitu and and Nathan is our pick for Raro.

Who's your pick(s) for next to get voted out?

The intro this week is dedicated to JP who was on the receiving end of an awesome blindside vote at tribal council. The outro music is dedicated the female alliance on Raro. They stand to be a major force going forward. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. It's time for Listener Feedback on Episode Three! The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode.

This week we hear from: Carol, Hanna, Denver Dave, James, Fancy, Brad, Graham, Bonnie, Bob, and Sandi.

The intro music is dedicated to Jessica and Cao Boi neither of which appears to be equipped to compete in the real Survivor challenge. The outro music is dedicated to Parvati or "Poverty" as Fancy calls her. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Cook Islands: Episode 3 Sep 29, 2006

Show notes

Say goodbye to Puka Puka and Manahiki. Unless you missed the preview commercial or the LF show, you knew there was a merge coming. That seemed like a pretty fair way to distribute the teams, but this show stood out for another reason too.

This turned out to be another one of those episodes that left us wondering more about what we didn't see than what we did. What happened to Candice on Exile Island? Was there another clue and another idol already hidden there? Did Rarotonga chow down on that octopus? And most importantly, did Yul gift the Hidden Immunity Idol to Becky before Tribal Council?

What do you think about these new tribes?

Here's the tribes after episode 3. Aitutaki: Becky, Candice, Cao Boi, Jessica, Jonathan, Ozzy, Sundra, and Yul Rarotonga: Adam, Brad, Cristina, Jenny, JP, Nathan, Parvati, Rebbeca, and Stephannie

We're sticking with our prediction of a double elimination again for the next episode. There's still way too many tribe members in the game. Jo Ann thinks it will be Cao Boi and Nathan. Stacy thinks it will be Cao Boi and Parvati.

Who's your pick(s) for next to get voted out? Now that they have merged, there are new romantic possiblities to consider. Parvati seems intent on hooking up with one of the studs on her team. Who do you predict will be the other rumored romance this season?

Both songs this week are dedicated to the reset that just happened as they merged from four teams down to two. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. A Fresh Start by The Havenots Island of Dreams by Dreamweaver

Cook Islands Episode 2 Listener Feedback Sep 27, 2006

Show notes

It's time for Listener Feedback on Episode Two! The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode.

This week we hear from: Carol, Fancy, Denver Dave, Sandi, James, Jason, Bonnie, Bob, Brad, Rob, Kurt, and Graham.

There is definitely a merge this week, and we still think there will be two castaways voted out too.

Prepare for a complete reset and shuffle as the game starts over. Will the previous 6 days count for anything when tribe members are split up from each other?

The intro music is once again dedicated to poor lovesick Billy. He didn't further his cause on Survivor Live either. The outro music conveys some of the tension we believe will be rampant once the tribes merge this week in episode 3. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them.
