Fiji Episode 4 Mar 02, 2007

Show notes

Ok, the good news is, this should be the last time I do the show solo. Jo Ann's mom is doing better and on her way to recovering. She sends along her thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers. Forgoing any surprises, Jo Ann will fly home tomorrow. We expect to be together for the Episode 4 Listener Feedback show on Tuesday. Woohoo!

What do you think would help Ravu more, voting off Anthony or Rocky?

Back in the extra video clips for episode 2, we saw that Liliana was suspicious of Stacy and Boo. She said they wanted to vote her out. Turns out she had good reason to be concerned. Do you think her fate was set earlier in the game or did the late night massage session trigger her demise?

The teams are even now. Do you think Moto still has enough advantage to continue dominating or should they have kept the immunity?

Here's the tribes after episode 4. Moto: Alex, Boo, Cassandra, Dreamz, Edgardo, Lisi, and Stacy Ravu: Anthony, Earl, Michelle, Mookie, Rocky, Rita, and Yau-Man

I'm on a roll now after successfully picking Gary to leave. ;) My next prediction is that Lisi will be voted out. They've established her as a minor villian for this season with her cold comments towards Gary and her attack on Liliana. Therefore, she's a natural to go next.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out? Do you think Ravu has a shot at redemption?

We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.

The intro music is dedicated to the two Ravu cry babys, Anthony and Rocky. The outro is dedicated to the Moto tribe. They've commited a classic Survivor Sin. They've gotten too comforable with their current status and opted to vote a member out instead of protecting their numbers. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Fiji Episode 3 LF Feb 28, 2007

Show notes

It's time for the Fiji Episode 3 Listener Feedback show! The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode. Lots of folks are evidently getting pretty tired of the "Haves" vs "Have Nots" theme. While Sylvia wasn't a great castaway, she did make a pretty good interview on Survivor Live. She shared several previously unknown insights into the editing and what really happened to her on the slip-n-slide. This week we hear from: Rumarie, Carol, MikeK, Fancy, Taz, Denver Dave, Bob, Sandi, Paul, Josh, Jeannie, Brian, Graham, and Brad

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us.

Our intro music is dedicated primarly to Gary and Sylvia who both took severe knocks to the head in episode 3. The outro music is dedicated to Anthony. If he cries in episode 4 this week, I've already got another song picked out for him. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Fiji Episode 3 Feb 23, 2007

Show notes

Here's a first. Jo Ann wasn't able to join me for tonights podcast, so I'm flying solo. Hopefully, she'll be back for the Listener Feedback show, but right now she's focused on helping her mom.

What would you do to fix Ravu? Would getting rid of Mookie help?

I can only recall two other seasons where the Survivors got fire without having the magnesium and flint firestarter. How many do you recall and which were they?

Why do you think Moto chose the second set of fishing gear instead of their luxury items?

Here's the tribes after episode 3. Moto: Alex, Boo, Cassandra, Dreamz, Edgardo, Gary, Lilliana, Lisi, and Stacy Ravu: Anthony, Earl, Michelle, Mookie, Rocky, Rita, and Yau-Man

I'm going to bite this time. I think Gary will vote himself out in the next episode.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out? Do you think Gary is actually in jeporady or is it a classic misdirect from "the evil Mark Burnett"?

The intro music is dedicated to Michelle. Watching her start the fire with Anthony's eyeglasses was awesome after seeing them struggle for 6 days with no water. The outro is dedicated to Sylvia. She was overdue to leave, and she certainly went out with a bang, to her head that is. Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. We've got a great mix of regulars and a couple more new voices, all with diverse takes on what happened in episode 2 as well as what they think will happen in episode 3 on Thursday. This week we hear from: MikeK, Jeannie, Sharon, Simon, Josh, Hanna, Paul, JoshuaJ, Brad, and Brian

Our intro music is dedicated to Moto. They're living the high life. The outro music is dedicated to Ravu. Fiji Episode 2 Feb 16, 2007

Show notes

Can you believe it? We started this podcast two years ago today, Feb 15th, 2005.

One hundred and twenty one shows later and we're still cranking them out and still enjoying talking about Survivor with you. :)

Jo Ann and I are still doing the east coast/west coast thing, but we managed to sync up and chat about Survivor Fiji episode 2 tonight.

What did you think about Yau-Man scoping out Sylvia's haversack looking for the HII, Hidden Immunity Idol? Is he a smooth operator or did he get busted?

Have you ever been seriously dehydrated? Would you have eaten the snake?

Do you think Ravu made the best choice for the team?

Here's the tribes after episode 2. Moto: Alex, Boo, Cassandra, Dreamz, Edgardo, Gary, Lilliana, Lisi, and Stacy Ravu: Anthony, Earl, Michelle, Mookie, Rocky, Rita, Sylvia, and Yau-Man

Silly as it might seem, we both think Sylvia will be voted out next. That "Next on Survivor" clue is a misdirect. Are you buying it? :)

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out? Who do you think is in crisis and having trouble breathing at Moto?

The intro music is dedicated to Boo. As a guy, I simply can't pass on an opportunity to play a song about farts. The outro is dedicated to the snakes on exile island. Did you listen to end of the podcast? Here's a link to the artists in case you want to learn more about them. Survivor Fiji: Episode 1 Listener Feedback Feb 14, 2007

Show notes

It's our first Listener Feedback show of the new season! The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode. We've got a great mix of regulars and quite a few new voices, all with diverse takes on what happened in episode 1. This week we hear from: Taz, Rumarie, Hanna, MikeK, Fancy, Sandi, Jeannie, Paul, Toledo Dave, Brian, JoshuaJ, Brad, and Carol

Thanks again for your patience with the audio quality. We had more than a few technical challenges pulling this particular show together. I tried my best to level the audio out, but there were some modulation problems on my side that I couldn't clean up. Hopefully, it will be only one more show before we're back together.

Our intro music continues the "new beginnings" theme and really gets the show kicked off with a rock solid beat. The outro music hints at the hardships we believe will come with episode 2. Fiji: Episode 1 Feb 09, 2007

Show notes

Welcome back Survivor Fans!

For the first time, Jo Ann and I weren't able to watch the episode together, but we had a good time recapping it over the phone.

What would you do if you were Sylvia? Would you share the clue or keep it to yourself?

One of the worst things you can do is mess with other people's sleep. Do you think Dreamz will be the first voted out if Moto does manage to lose?

What did you think of Jessica? Did she remind you of Briana from Survivor Guatamala? They're both "make-up artists" and seemed to leave a similar impression with their tribemates.

Here's the tribes after episode 1. Moto: Alex, Boo, Cassandra, Dreamz, Edgardo, Gary, Lilliana, Lisi, and Stacy Ravu: Anthony, Earl, Erica, Michelle, Mookie, Rocky, Rita, Sylvia, and Yau-Man

We both think Sylvia will be voted out next.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

Survivor Fiji Preview Feb 02, 2007

Show notes

Let's talk Survivor Fiji! If you're a hardcore Survivor Fan you're going to love this preview show. This is the biggest show we've ever done, weighing in a 1 hour 41 minutes. You might need to listen in chunks, but it's worth it. We've never had a more diverse take on the new Survivors. It's amusing, insightful, and delightful.

We've got listener feedback from: Josh, Carol, Denver Dave, Fancy, Kris, Brad, Paul, Bonnie, Hanna, and Bob.

Two quick corrections: Listener Josh is in Wisconsin, and Listener Bob picked Becky as first out last season (just like we did), not Ozzy. He picked Sekou as the Sole Survivor. :)

If you're interested in participating in the Jo Ann & Stacy Show Survivor Fantasy League(JSFL), send an email to jsfl.admin@gmail.com with JSFL in the subject line to let us know, and we'll add you to the roster and send you additional instructions. The prize this season will be similar to last season, e.g. a Survivor t-shirt or Survivor DVD Blast game. Not sure what the JSFL is? Check out the links section below for the rules we used last season along with the results.

We begin each season with our "Judge a Book by its Cover" show. We want to hear what you think about the 19 new contestants for Survivor Fiji. There's not a lot of information to draw on. It's not clear yet how all these diverse people will interact with each other or what agendas they plan to follow throughout the game. Study their pictures, read their bios and let us know how well you think they will do this season.

What do you think about the decision to divide the tribes into "priveleged vs the poor"?

Who's your pick for the first one voted out?

Go out on a limb, and tell us who you think will win it all.
