China Episode 3 LF Oct 10, 2007

Show notes

From this week's feedback, we all seemed to really enjoy the surprises in episode 3. The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode. Once again, Jean Robert's "strategy" is a hot button topic for many listeners. Courtney sparked many comparisons to the infamous flubbed final four fire starting challenge between Becky and Sundra in Survivor Cook Islands as well as Jaime's rope cutting fiasco from episode 5 of Survivor Guatemala. Several folks expressed a strong disappointment in Leslie's choices given our affinity for true fans of the show. This week we hear from: Jennie, Bill, Belinda, Toledo Dave, Brian, Kathy, Taz, Brad, Paul, Graham, Sandi, MikeK, and JoshuaJ

We love hearing what you thought, and We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). The intro music is dedicated to Jean Robert, AKA SnuggleBunny. The outro is dedicated to this week's challenge where the warriors face off. SFP Interview: Leslie Nease from Survivor China Oct 06, 2007

Show notes

Woohoo! We got to do a phone interview with Leslie Nease today, and we can't wait to share it with you. Like a lot of you, we've been really missing the extra "behind the scenes" info we used to get from watching Survivor Live. Each TV episode condenses 3 days down to about 45 minutes minus the commercials. We all know there's lots more that happens that we don't get to see.So, when we were offered the opportunity to do interviews this season, we were really excited and started thinking about how to ask questions to provide some extra details about Leslie's experience, her fellow Survivors and life at Fei Long's camp.

Let us know if you enjoyed the interview. We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. China Episode 3 Oct 05, 2007

Show notes

Wow, episode 3 of Survivor China was packed with even more twists, turns and surprises than last week!

Daffy Dave continued to berate his tribemates with wacky outbursts, developed a new compulsion to clean things in his outdoor surroundings, and decided to compete in the reward challenge by stripping down to his birthday suit. Amazingly, Zhan Hu easily won both challenges. Ok, so no one was surprised to find out that Courtney was worthless in a physical challenge. Leslie, the Christian Radio Host, turns out to be the least trusted person in the game.

Who do you think is really pulling the strings in Fei Long? Could Jean Robert emerge as the "puppet master" of the tribe in spite of his apparent lack of a social game? How do you think the two tribes compare now?

Here's the tribes after episode 3. Fei Long: Aaron, Amanda, Courtney, Denise, James, Jean-Robert, Todd Zhan Hu: Dave, Eric, Frosti, Jaime, Peih-Gee, Sherea

We're betting that Zhan Hu's victory will be short lived, and we're going to pick Dave again as next to go.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

China Episode 2 LF Oct 03, 2007

Show notes

Everyone we heard from this week really enjoyed episode 2, and several of you offered up some great observations on how this season is shaping up. The LF shows are where you get to co-host the show with us and share your views on the most recent episode. This week's themes focus on praise for Todd's skillful play, condemnation of Jean Robert's "lazy man" strategy, destructive Dave's spiral into oblivion, and the potential impact of the Hidden Immunity Idol along with some parting shots at Ashley. This week we hear from: Kathy, Ali, Taz, Brad, Randy, Jeannie, Graham, and Paul

The intro music is dedicated to Ashley, Chicken, Dave, and well the whole Zhan Hu tribe. The outro is also dedicated to Zhan Hu since we're sure they're not done destroying their own tribe with endless bickering and poor decisions. China Episode 2 Sep 28, 2007

Show notes

Survivor's back, and they're already kicking the drama and action into high gear with episode 2.

In a bit of an uncommon twist, both tribes seem to really want and need leaders. Ashley's choice to continually go after Dave led to her downfall. When is it ok or safe to challenge the leader of the tribe?

What do you think about JR's "lazy man" strategy? For Leslie, there's no question. It truly is better to give than to receive. Do you think she chose well? What will happen when someone else in her tribe gets a clue and tells everyone else how it works? What do you think about how the challenges are shaping up?

Here's the tribes after episode 2. Fei Long: Aaron, Amanda, Courtney, Denise, James, Jean-Robert, Leslie, Todd Zhan Hu: Dave, Eric, Frosti, Jaime, Peih-Gee, Sherea

We both think that Zhan Hu will lose the next immunity challenge too, and we're picking Dave as next to go.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

Both songs this week are dedicated to Ashley and Dave. Neither one of them seem to have the good sense to stop the bickering and change tactics to avoid self destruction and a quick exit. China Episode 1 Sep 21, 2007

Show notes

Welcome back Survivor Fans!

One of the cardinal rules of Survivor is, "Don't isolate yourself." It's interesting to contrast how James and Chicken handled the early stage of the game. James, a self professed loner, accepted and bonded with Leslie and got tips for how to better fit into the tribe. Chicken took every opportunity to point out what he thought his tribemates were doing wrong and consistently chose to physically stand apart from them. While he was busy complaining about how they couldn't work together, five of his tribemates banded together to decide he didn't deserve to keep playing. We're in the 15th season now and we still see people who show up to play and not realize it's primarily a social game.

Do you think Peih-Gee will be able to keep it together to lead her team to victory? Will Dave and Peih-Gee fight over who's really the leader? What happened to Zhan Hu at the end of the challenge?

Do you think anyone in Zhan Hu really thinks that Dave is being sincere? What did Jean-Robert gain from accusing Todd of being devious and clever?

Here's the tribes after episode 1. Fei Long: Aaron, Amanda, Courtney, Denise, James, Jean-Robert, Leslie, Todd Zhan Hu: Ashley, Dave, Eric, Frosti, Jaime, Peih-Gee, Sherea

We both think that Zhan Hu will lose the next immunity challenge too. Jo Ann thinks Peih-Gee will be next. Stacy thinks it will be Ashley.

Who's your pick for the next one to get voted out?

South China Sea is a great song to kick off the season. Thunder Chicken would probably overwhelm Steve "Chicken" Morris, but the title fit and the song makes a great outro.
