Prosecutors say a factory reset and verbal consent justify the seizure — and they plan to use any guilty verdict in the sex abuse case as an aggravator in the murder trial to seek the death penalty.

Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Rex Heuermann is linked to the death and disappearance of many victims and now police are holding a LIVE presser to share new information about more victims.

Rex Heuermann, a Manhattan architect, is the alleged Long Island Serial Killer who could be facing several murder charges once he goes to trial. The Gilgo Beach serial killings refer to a series of murders that occurred on Long Island, New York, primarily along Ocean Parkway, between 1993 and 2011. The investigation was prompted by the search of Shannan Gilbert who went missing in 2010, and later led to the discovery of the remains of seven women, including the "Gilgo Four" who we now know as Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Costello, and Maureen Brainard-Barnes. Police later identified victims Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, and Valerie Mack.

The Menendez brothers testified that they killed their mother and father in self-defense after a lifetime of emotional, physical and SA. At the time, Lyle was 21, and Erik was 18. This high profile case has now come down to the brothers' attorney trying to get them released and Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman trying to keep both brothers behind bars.
