Ep 55 | By Ballot. Not By Bullet | Mike Huckabee Nov 07, 2020

Show notes

You are being told a lie. You are being told that the group you are part of determines your worth. But the Constitution says you have worth as an individual, endowed by your Creator. You are being told capitalism is based on greed. But in reality, capitalism has allowed the U.S. to grow and become the most generous country on Earth. This country affords maximum liberty to reach maximum potential through personal responsibility, not through victim mentality. In these contentious times, don't buy the lie that America must be torn down and torn apart. While we may not always like the result, our country chooses its leaders by the ballot, not by the bullet. Mike Huckabee knows we must protect the three Cs that made this country great: Christianity, capitalism, and the Constitution. Don't miss this timely and encouraging episode of Rick & Bubba University.

Ep 54 | Shifting from Pro-Birth to Pro-Life | Guest: Herbie Newell Oct 31, 2020

Show notes

What do we mean when we say pro-life? We must be against infanticide, but we can’t stop there. As Christians, we should believe in the sanctity of life in every aspect. Not everyone is called to adoption, but you can fulfill God's command to care for the orphan and the widow in other ways. Christ came to give us life and life abundantly. If we want the world to see the love of Christ in us, we have to support women in crisis pregnancies, widows, orphans, and those with special needs. Herbie Newell, executive director of Lifeline Children’s Services, takes on this and much more in his book "Image Bearers: Shifting from Pro-Birth to Pro-Life." Ep 53 | The Worship Problem | Chuck Hooten Oct 24, 2020

Show notes

Worship leader Chuck Hooten was tired of worship being something that happened only on Sunday morning. He saw churches worrying more about logos and egos than about people and prayer. Worship is not saying true things; it is becoming true things. As more and more churches commercialized, Chuck saw that the Western church was at a crossroads. So Chuck took a sabbatical, sold everything he owned, and packed his wife and four daughters into an RV to refocus on God's purpose for Christians. We were made to worship, and "The Worship Problem" seeks to find the heart of what worship was always truly meant to be.
