My Parents Love A Doll More Than Me Jul 28, 2022
    Show notes

“Hurry up and get yourself ready for church!”

“We’re going to be late again because of you! Pastor Mac doesn’t like when we’re late!”

My parents both screamed like we were somewhere being chased by tigers. What was so urgent or important about church anyway? I mean I understood that it was important to some people but there was something seriously wrong with “our” church. I put on my dress and ran down the stairs without bothering to comb my hair.

“You look like a wet cat!” my mom continued screaming.

“God loves the animals. Leave me alone. Let’s just go already.”

Later we pulled up to our megachurch with its golden doors and diamond chandeliers.

“We will start today’s service with the offering! Remember that you will get one hundred times the amount you receive, so give generously! The Lord loves a cheerful giver!”

Now where was I. Thankfully, I didn’t have to go through that torture for much longer because Pastor Mac was involved in a huge scandal and my parents decided that we shouldn’t go to that church anymore.

I Got Adopted By The Worlds Strictest Parents Jul 28, 2022
    Show notes

Why do bad things happen to innocent people? It’s a question I’ll never have the answer to. Picture this. I was four years old and I had the best parents in the world. My mom was beautiful and she had the most caring eyes ever... AND she smelled like an angel. She sang with me, played with me and made the most amazing food. My dad was funny. He’d always pick me up and spin me around the room. Most of all, they loved each other – and I know they loved me. When I look back I think about those happy moments. Life was perfect.

“Simon, we're going to Thailand! We’re going on vacation!” my mom squealed one night while my dad lifted me into the air.

I didn’t really understand what ‘vacation’ meant because I was really little but they were really excited so I just went with the flow. It was going to be my first time on a plane and I was very happy. I had dozens of plane toys and I’d seen them on TV and in the sky but to actually sit inside of one of them? Oh boy!

The day came and I was jumping up and down with joy. We sat in the plane and my mom gave me some toys to play with. You should have seen me when the plane took off. I was clapping and everything. It was hilarious.

I remember it being a fun ride and I was pretty much excited the whole time until the plane suddenly went dark and started to shake.

“Don’t worry son, I think it’s just turbulence.” my dad said. My mom put her arm around me and told me that everything would be alright. But then the plane started to descend and the people started screaming. My mom blocked my ears and I don’t remember anything else after that.

My Sister Thinks She’s An Angel Jul 27, 2022
    Show notes

I was in the middle of a deep sleep, dreaming about lying on a beach on an island far, far away, when I suddenly felt like the earth was shaking beneath me.

It took me a few minutes to come round and realise that it wasn’t in my dream, someone was actually shaking me!

    “Chloe, wake up, wake up”

    I opened my eyes,

“What is it Mom? Why are you waking me?”

    “It’s Laila, she’s missing!”

I sat bolt upright in bed,

“What are you talking about? What do you mean she’s missing?”

We looked everywhere, she was nowhere to be seen.

I was sitting on the sofa in the lounge, listening to my parents telling the Police everything they knew.

“Chloe and Laila both went up to bed at the same time, it was probably about an hour or two later that we went up to bed.”

“My wife checked in on Chloe first, and then she went to check on Laila.”

    I Was Stuck In A Dream For 10 Years Jul 27, 2022
    Show notes

“Mommy no! Daddy please stay!” I was blinded by my own tears. I was only seven years old and my parents were leaving each other. My world was falling apart.

    “Mindy what’s happening?”

“What’s going to happen to us?”

My little siblings Trevor and Trina said while expecting me to have answers. I was more confused.

It was a total disaster and it was about to get worse.

That night we were left home alone. My dad left first then my mom stormed out of the house to go look for him. My dad reported my mom to the police but they were both charged with child neglect for leaving us alone in the house.

We did not expect what happened next. We were taken away and sent to live in some kind of orphanage. Well, they tried not to call it that but that’s exactly what it was– it was named ‘Hubert’s Home for Children’. The manager was a short, stubby man named Stewart.

There were two big dormitories with about twenty beds. Girls and boys weren’t allowed to stay together so Trina and I were separated from Trevor. He was only three years old and I knew he was terrified.

Mom Fat Shamed Me Now I'm A Model Jul 26, 2022
    Show notes

“I literally cannot wait for prom, can you?”

“I know! It’s going to be so much fun!”

“Have you got your dress yet?”

    “Yes, have you?”

“No, but this is the one that I want to get.”

I showed my friends the photo of the dress that I had chosen. It was the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. It was strapless and bright red.

“Oh wow, Trisha, you’ll look amazing in that dress.”

    “Ha ha ha.”

I looked around and saw my Mom standing in the doorway.

“You won’t be able to wear that! You’re too fat!”

My heart sank when I heard what my Mom had said and I almost burst into tears. I could see from the shocked looks on my friends' faces that they couldn’t believe what my Mom had just said.

I’m The Smartest Kid In Class, Everyone Uses Me Jul 26, 2022
    Show notes

“Angela! Don’t forget the party tomorrow night! You’re gonna be there right?”

    “Yeah of course!”

    “I can’t wait! We’re gonna have a blast!”

I was bursting with joy inside but you couldn’t really tell just by looking at my face. I had finally been invited to a party by Jessica, the most popular girl in our class.

So, where was I? I was telling you about how excited I was to finally get invited to a party. You might think that this is quite silly but you’ll understand after I tell you a little more about my life.

I’m a real nerd – and I don’t mean that in a bad way because I don’t think it’s insulting to be called a nerd. Instead of hanging around people I preferred to read books and to learn every possible thing that I could. Well, the result of that was that I ended up being the smartest kid in class. Everyone knew me as the ‘smart kid’ because I represented my school in almost every single competition and I won every time – the spelling bee, science fair, robotics challenges – everything!

I Found Out My Hands Are Worth Billions Jul 25, 2022
    Show notes

You might be sitting here right now thinking you’re the most ordinary person in the world but do you know that might not be the case? Maybe you haven’t found your ‘thing’ yet but when you do, you’ll be amazed! I’m about to tell you how I discovered my amazing gift and what happened next.

My parents realized that I wasn’t ordinary by the time I was two years old. It happened when my mom left me and my twin brother Herman at my older brother’s music school because she had a quick errand. The music teacher was okay with it because he was cool like that. My older brother George was about six years old and he was playing ‘Hot Cross Buns’ over and over again. Then he got frustrated and left the room. I got up, went to the piano chair and started playing one of Chopin’s waltzes. I continued playing until my mom got back. She stood there with the music teacher. Both of their jaws dropped.

“You taught her to play that?” my mom asked the music teacher.

“No! I thought you did! I left the room for a while and when I got back she was just there, playing like a pro. She might be a prodigy! Well, she definitely is! I’d advise you to get some more instruments and see what she’ll do with them.”

I stopped playing and stuck out my tongue at them. Well obviously I don’t remember any of this. That’s the story my mom gave me.

My Rich Family Lost Everything Jul 25, 2022
    Show notes

At the start of 2020 my family was the richest family in the neighbourhood. Now, they’re the poorest and it’s all because of me. How did that happen? Stay tuned until the end of the video to find out.

I laid on my bed staring up at the ceiling. My room was every teenage boy's dream. I had a top of the range computer with the latest gaming equipment and the best sound system money could buy, but I was still bored. You would think that living in this huge mansion would be great, but I missed my friends and my old life.

I thought about how much fun I used to have when we lived at our old house. I was always out on my bike with my friends or playing soccer on the field. But ever since we had moved here I never got to hang out with any of my friends, they all lived too far away.

Suddenly a knock at the door broke me from my thoughts,

    “Come in.”

The door opened and in walked Jeeves our butler.

    “Yes, Jeeves?”

“Excuse me Sir, dinner is about to be served.”

“Ok, thank you, I’ll be down in a minute.”

    I Kidnapped A Genius, I Made Millions Jul 24, 2022
    Show notes

Jaxon this, Jaxon that, bla bla bla. Ever get so tired of hearing your parents call your name that you feel like gluing their mouths shut while they sleep? Do you think that’s a little extreme? I’m sure you don’t because even if your parents aren’t annoying like mine, they ARE annoying and sometimes you just want them to shut up.

“Jaxon!” my mom screamed again. “You need to change your baby sister’s diaper if you want to eat dinner tonight! Unless you want me to contaminate the food! Is that what you want? Baby poop in your pasta? You lazy potato of a boy!”

I walked to the living room like I was on my way to my own funeral. I didn’t hate my baby sister. She was cute. But have you ever changed a diaper? If not, you’re lucky. If you have, you know. You just know. Ugh.

So I changed the little monster, gave her a toy and started walking back up to my room.

“Jaxon! Where are you going? Set the table! And put your sister in her high chair!”

    “Ughhh mom! I have homework!”

“Liar. Hurry up and do what I asked!”

At that moment my dad walked in and started talking too... like somebody invited him into the conversation.

I Can Move Objects With My Mind, I Am Not Kidding Jul 24, 2022
    Show notes

I had been in the school cafeteria less than ten seconds when the group of “cool kids” started on me. It was always the same, I tried to avoid them at all costs, but sometimes there was just no getting away from them.

“Oh my god, what have you got on your feet?”

“They look like you found them on a garbage site!”

“He smells like he’s been on one too!!”

“Hey, cut it out! Leave him alone!”

I was so relieved to hear Mark's voice. He was my best friend and he always defended me.

The cool kids disappeared in a flash and I turned to thank Mark. He put his arms around me and gave me a hug.

    “Thanks Bro!”

“No worries! I love you man!”

    “I love you too!”

Mark and I had been best friends for years, when I was a new kid at school he was the only one who was nice to me. When I first arrived I was pretty lonely, all the other kids already knew each other and weren’t keen on having a new kid hang around with them. But Mark was different.
