SSFP Episode #57 | Virtual Cranking Dec 08, 2021

Show notes

Hello again, Skelefam!

Well, we made it through November, the end of the year is our sights! If you've got frightful weather in your area, cozy up with your two best friends for some warm podcast goodness. Despite finishing a video on RE4 VR, we manage to keep the Resident Evil talk brief this time. There really is no time for Resident Evil because Grace has been hooked on Inscryption, an indie-card-roguelike-horror game published by Devolver. And Derek fell back into Bloodborne, in a quest to the Platinum. Plus weird controller talk and Derek get kinda emotional with your questions at the end. Everything you could POSSIBLY want in a podcast, wow!

We'll be back in two weeks, recording next on the 20th. If you'd like to chat along with us during the recording, you can join our Patreon! See you next time and stay powerful!

SSFP Episode #55 | Post Edit Crunch Podcast Nov 03, 2021

Show notes

Hello Skella-friends!

You want to know what a weekend spent crunching on a very long video will do to a pair of people? You're in the right place because Grace and Derek were still VERY much recovering from reshoots and editing for the Xbox One Past Mortem when this was recorded, resulting in one of the most scatterbrained, topic hopping podcasts ever recorded.

What can you expect in this episode? Exclusive Pikmin Bloom coverage! Robot trust-issues! The Paranormal Activity movies! Is The Force just ghosts? Jalapeño! Cheese! Bagels! And what's with this trend of not eating nuts in November?? Plus your questions and our dogs bumping into our mic stands because you can expect the best from SSFF!

Next episode will be recorded on Nov 15th and we promise to be more rested then. Thanks as always for your questions and thanks for listening!!

SSFP Episode #54 | Two Years For Froggy Chair Oct 19, 2021

Show notes

Hello again Skele-friends!

We bring you tales of the strange things you can do with a 64DD and a Game Boy Camera, more on the Xbone video deep into production, and discuss how the Switch Online "Expansion Pak" is a pretty terrible deal in almost anyway you look at it (it's not even the most expensive service Nintendo has had before). Plus lots of questions! We've been getting more and more questions lately and we really appreciate it!

We'll be back November 1st with another episode, see you then!

Stay Powerful,
-Uncle Derek

SSFP Episode #53 | (Formerly) Sick AF Oct 05, 2021

Show notes

Hello Skele-friends!

Our intrepid Producer Grace is back from battling bronchitis, and brought a freshly wrapped gift for you all - another podcast! After missing our last episode, the team is back together to about videos and/or video games! Actually we do spend a fair amount of time talking about production stuff, the RE4 Mobile video we just posted to Patreon, and future videos, like the follow up to our 2019 Kinect video, more DELISTED, and of course the Zeebo! Plus questions from y'all got us thinking really hard about the mountain of junk Tiger Electronic produced throughout the 90's, how game collecting has changed drastically over the last 10 years, and more!

We'll be back again on the 18th of October (health pending). Thanks for the questions and thanks for listen, we'll see you all there, stay powerful!!

SSFP Episode #52 | I Don't Remember a SPECIFIC Fart App... Sep 09, 2021

Show notes

Hello again Skele-friends!

We had so much fun recording this episode, I forgot to post the damn thing!! Sorry for being a little late! We touch on a bunch of topics in this episode, like the early era of mobile games, after the Apple App store but before anyone really knew what people wanted. Also the sad but still interesting predicament Friday the 13th the Video Game is stuck in. And Nintendo is bringing GameBoy games to Switch Online? Does this mean 16 player, online Faceball 2000 is nearly upon us??

As always, thanks for the questions! Next episode recording on Sept 20th. See you all then! -Uncle Derek

Hello skelefriends!

Hot off of Grace's Dirty-Thirty celebration, we begin our podcast march towards episode 100! This episode is abound with stories of Tony Hawk Ride production struggles and Quake 64 HD gushing. Plus questions about our favorite video crossovers and peripherals.

We also forgot to mention that we were recently on the Arlocast, here's a link to that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzY_nQj3Axg

As always, comments and questions are welcome at stopskeletons@gmail.com

See you again in two weeks! Derek

SSFP Episode #50 | Shoes In The House Aug 10, 2021

Show notes

Hello Skele-fam!

Episode 50?? Well, that's what it says so it must be true! More on that in a sec...

In this episode, we talk about our car troubles following our trip back to Alaska, we get really excited by the PlayDate's ambitious lack of ambition, and we prepare for Grace's 30th birthday! Plus questions! You can send your questions to stopskeletons@gmail.com

Ok, so episode 50, right? Well, on Patreon all 50 episodes are available, dating all the way back several years. However, just like our patreon, it's gone through a few phases before it just became Stop Skeletons From Podcasting. For a while this podcast was a Patreon exclusive thing, but we decided to make it free for everyone during the pandemic of 2020. The episodes before that change will remain Patreon exclusive, however there are a few episodes that need to be uploaded to the public stream. If I can upload them post-dated and not gunk up everyone's feeds, I'll do that.

We're still on an off-schedule for this month since we missed the 1st Monday. We'll be back on the 23rd of August, which is not the 3rd Monday I know, but it'll put us on a nice two-week schedule into September.

If you enjoy the show, please rate us 5 stars and review us!

Thanks for listening!

SSFP Episode #49 | Tony Hawk Shred Complete-in-Box Jul 27, 2021

Show notes

Skele-freinds Unite!

We can't close out the month without another Stop Skeletons From Podcasting! We're going on a trip to visit family and that messed with our schedule a bit, so this is a little late. But lateness will not stop us from sharing with you all our experiences playing motion controlled skateboarding games, and a brand new show that's coming to the channel! The madness never stops!

Plus we take a handful of questions! We got the same questions from a lot of people so we took out many birds with a few stones, as the saying goes I'm pretty sure. What I'm trying to say is we answered questions and that killed birds some how, which I'm not comfortable with. The killing birds, not the questions, we like questions. I'm not sure where I'm going with this so I'm going to end this paragraph quickly

Hey, if you have any questions for us, send them to stopskeletons@gmail.com. We'll be back with another episode recorded August 9th and posted the next day.

Stay powerful,
Uncle Derek

SSFP Episode #48 | No Remorse for Starbucks Jul 07, 2021

Show notes

Hello again Skele-fam!

We survived the recent heat wave by doing what we've many times over, squatting at a Starbucks. Derek's also been playing a lot of Burnout games, which are pretty uniformly great if you haven't heard! Also learn about the Xbox 360's launch webcam and have a mini Punching Weight meeting live on the air. Plus lots questions from the chat, this one ran long, we hardly noticed!

Next episode will be recorded July 19th, until then stay cool!
