What if Anakin Fought General Grievous Jul 15, 2023

Show notes

In today’s fight scenario we’re going to take something I would have loved to see in Star Wars movies. Anakin Skywalker vs General Grievous in Revenge of the Sith. The two had a short (pun intended) exchange in episode 3 where Anakin told him he’s shorter than expected, and Grievous wasn’t too happy about it.

Let’s try to understand both fighting styles of Anakin and Grievous, as well as force powers, physical powers, and psychology.

Do you think Grievous could take Anakin Skywalker? Do you think he could take Luke? What about Mace or Yoda?

In today's VS series, let's go over the fan fiction of what would have happened if Luke Skywalker were to fight Palpatine. What if he didn't toss his lightsaber away after defeating Vader? What if he faced Sidious and confronted him? What would have happened?

Today's episode will look at a deeper understanding of the battle that will never be, but would have been ultimately cool to witness.

The Reason Rey Beat Kylo-Ren SO EASILY - Star Wars The Last Jedi Explained Jul 15, 2023

Show notes

In Star Wars The Force Awakens...we get the most unexplained and somewhat hated ending with Rey defeating Kylo so easily. Kylo Ren is a pupil of Luke Skywalker, this means he should be able to beat a person who doesn't really know what the force even is, let alone the Jedi and Sith...Why Did Kylo Ren lose so easily? Are there some parallels here like with Darth Vader vs Luke Skywalker? What could this mean for Snoke wanting Rey? Is there something hidden here that could be theorized on in this episode where we see the colours of the light and dark (blue and red) flashing as she is 'awakened'? Could she be just like Anakin Skywalker, a new chosen one?

Why Did 3 Jedi Masters Lose to Palpatine So Easily in Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Explained Jul 15, 2023

Show notes

In Revenge of the Sith, during the scene where Mace Windu leads his team of Jedi Masters to confront and arrest Palpatine after Anakin revealed his identity as a Sith Lord, we see the Sith kill 3 Jedi Masters so easily. This doesn't make much sense from a movie standpoint, but if we dive deeper, using the comics, novelization, and lore, we can make perfect sense of the situation.

Show notes

Why did obi wan lose to count dooku in episode 2 attack of the clones? While it’s heavily debated that Obi Wan lost to Dooku twice, however defeated Anakin who killed Dooku, circling back to our original question and not really making much sense. While I don’t have to say that Lucas wanted to create more of a character development towards Anakin leading into episode 3, there is lots of unknown information here for just the regular Star Wars movie watcher. Let’s dive a little deeper shall we.

Why Did General Grievous Lose to Obi-Wan Kenobi in Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Explained Jul 15, 2023

Show notes

General Grievous, the famous and powerful Jedi exterminator. His ability to track down jedi and kill them was one of his most highly esteemed skills. Having originally been a reptillian creature from the planet Kaleesh, Grievous was later turned into a cyborg at the request of Sidious and the oversight of Dooku. Using Jedi Mater Sifo Dias’ blood to circulate through his veins. As he adorned his tribal mask to complete his robotic appearance, he was one of the most gifted Jedi hunters in the galaxy. Having defeated countless keepers of the peace, and taking their lightsabers as a token for his collection.

With such ability, including his 4 dangerous lightsaber wielding arms, it makes one question, how did Obi Wan defeat him? Don’t get me wrong Obi wan was a skilled jedi, but he was not the best in relation to master windu or yoda. That’s what we will discuss in today’s episode of star wars theory.
