Mary welcomes new guest Dr. Corey Miller of Ratio Christi ministry. Corey Miller grew up in Utah as a 7th generation Mormon. He came to Christ and later became a pastor, philosophy professor, campus minister, and now serves as the president and CEO of Ratio Christi. He has authored or edited 5 books and holds 3 masters degrees and a PhD from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. His focus is on the intersection of faith, reason, and culture. His new book, “The Progressive Miseducation of America: Confronting the Cultural Revolution from the Classroom to Your Community” is set to release October 14. Today we discuss higher education's devolution into an echo chamber for leftist ideologies. Far from an actual education, today's ultra-liberal universities are really the gatekeepers for revolutionary ideas. On today's podcast, Tim and Mary Danielsen explore the news cycle, such as it is, changing minute by minute. We start out with a "wrong side of everything" story about the granddaughter of the man who owned the company that produced Zykon-B gas in mass quantities to rid the world of the Jews. Now, since she is adamantly "opposed to genocide", she has joined an upcoming flotilla to protest Israel's treatment of Gaza. It really doesn't get any more twisted than this - but her flotilla mates are quick to exclaim that "at least she is on the right side of history". We shall see about that. Along with all the nations who are going to actively oppose Israel's retake of Gaza. We take a look at the latest shunning of mRNA tech, and it's good news, as is the report that all federal records of those who had resisted or been exempted from the jab will find that their records have been destroyed. It's funny how that season of tyranny is finally past us without so much as a "gee you rebels were right all along" acknowledgment. We also take a look at a different form of tyranny in the EU where starting in October, the Powers That Be will be spying on their citizens' chats. No surprises there. Mary welcomes new guest Elizabeth Urbanowicz, a follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about equipping kids to understand the truth of the Christian worldview. Elizabeth began her professional career as an elementary teacher in a Christian school. Several years into her teaching experience, she realized that despite being raised in Christian homes, attending a Christian school, and being active in church, her students thought more like the culture than like Christ. She began searching for curricular materials that would equip her students to think critically, helping them discover that Christianity is the worldview that lines up with reality. After not finding any materials that met this need, she began creating a curriculum for her students. Today we look at how to move our kids forward, and pursue excellence in everything, at a time when the culture keeps going backwards everywhere we look. Counteracting a worldly worldview is a full time job. How can families and churches proactively keep their youth engaged with truth? What will it take, consistently and purposefully? There seems to be no end to the back and forth politicization of every possible way to sway the west toward the current pro-Hamas agenda. From lies about starving children to the growing call for a Palestinian state, Israel is front and center of all the (big) news that is fit to print. We also discuss an insidious bill in the California Assembly designed to empower the state to control children; we look at those who have weighed in on that. Another topic is the Mesquite, TX mosque and its proselytizing of children who attend taxpayer funded schools. We don't necessarily need to explore who is behind it, but rather ask ourselves how is this being allowed to take place at all? Finally, we talk about EU censorship that has gone so far down the rabbit hole there is no going back. Anxious for Nothing, Part II: The Transformed Life Aug 07, 2025

Today Mary continues what she started back on July 24, looking long and hard at anxiety and the plague of worry that has many Americans - and a considerable number of believers - tied up in knots. Oftentimes, unfairly, we simply throw a Bible verse at a person who is living in a pattern of anxiety, as if that is an instant cure. And, technically, it is - but there is something about the hole of anxiety that seems to require some critical thinking, AND doing, to get free. Anxiety, and it's offspring, depression, (Proverbs 12:25) are not what God has for us, and so if we do find ourselves in such a season, there is no reason to founder and get sidetracked, or worse yet, shipwrecked. There are several practical things we can do and there IS a way forward. We look at psychology, an opposing worldview that offers no hope, and we talk about all the ways that anxiety wants to get hold and linger, even through spiritual warfare. Our enemy does not play fair. So, we will stare this down together and come away with tools to help, including getting past being our own worst enemy from time to time. Overcomers, we are. Headlines: The People of the Book Aug 06, 2025

Tim and Mary take a look at the latest news cycle, with the specific underlying theme of the greatest headline in a generation, that of the modern nation of Israel. Much of the church has left the position of Israel being the main player in God's last days plan. What are some of the things we are following right now? The UN and their obsession with a 2-state solution has caused the world to think that 1) if they say it often enough it will happen, and 2) it IS the solution to the "Mideastmess". Israel expert Jim Fletcher asks the question, "what will happen when France (and other co-conspirators) declares a Palestinian state? Absolutely nothing. The US and Israel are nowhere to be found here politically or philosophically. Also today we talk about the 9th of Av, an annual commemoration and period of mourning in Israel that occurs each Summer at some point. This is a day to remember the destruction of both Jewish temples, but so much more - a very interesting dot-connecting exercise. PASTOR CLAUDE STAUFFER On today's podcast, we welcome back Pastor Claude Stauffer of Calvary Chapel of Hope in Amityville, NY. Pastor Claude is a graduate of Hofstra University (B.A. Sociology) and Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity). He has been in ministry since 1986 and presently serves as the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Hope, a church he has served from its beginning in 1993. He served bi-vocationally as a pastor and social worker for 16 years. He is the author of over 30 books, the latest of which is a thorough look at the person and work of the Holy Spirit and has a vital radio ministry to the Northeast and beyond. Today we look at the first few chapters of Zechariah in order to understand the who, what, and how of being used by Him. Primarily, the key verse is "Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord " (Zech. 4:6). So much of what goes on in the church seems to point to a generation that thinks worship-tainment, a best-selling self-help book, and programs are the way to accomplish the work of God, when really, none of that works. Mary welcomes back Linda Harvey of Mission America to talk about the upcoming school year, and the propaganda calendar that is put into place from the moment they walk in the doors, to the last day in June during "Pride Month". We take a look at all the woke and brainwashing events that kids are subject to, none of which have anything to do with the concept of education. Wouldn't it be great to have, say, something like "Holocaust Remembrance Day" to key in on actual injustice, historically factual and worthy of study? Or is it better to teach on perversion and shame those kids who don't want to partake? Is it possible for our kids to be change agents, or is opting out the best choice? We also look at some rulings that might allow a lot of these weekly LGBTQ events to go away quietly. Teaching kids to make it in the real world with academics would be quite the concept in schools today. Linda is on the front lines of the culture wars and she is up on all the things we need to watch in order to protect our families.
