Stay ConnectedStabbyQuest is a story-focused, actual-play tabletop roleplaying game podcast.
A ram’s head necklace. A spool of thread. A long-dead legend. How are they connected, and what does their arrival mean for Sandpoint, nay, for Golarion? Find out, in StabbyQuest!
It's the end of our Behind the Dice series of the first StabbyQuest campaign!
In this episode we finish off the series by discussing helpful items for the players, such as handouts and when they're appropriate, When does meta or table talk feel right, and some fun ways to incorporate both of those into the game.
We finish off by revisiting the last episode before this Behind the Dice started, including a couple of character reveals and the cliffhanger the gameplay episodes paused on.
Thank you all so much for hanging with us through these Behind the Dice episodes, and we hope you enjoyed them. The next episode will return to gameplay, and we'll stay with these through the end of the campaign.
If you enjoy the show please leave us a review or rating on your platform of choice, and as always Thanks for listening and thanks to our wonderful Patrons who keep this show on the air.

These Behind the Dice series are almost over! I can't believe we're almost back to gameplay episodes. In this session we continue the theme of a tabletop group "recovering from being lost" - and we discuss a number of options of how to do that. We did eventually settle on one that has been incredibly helpful for us, and we hope some of the ideas herein help any other group who may be in the same position we were.
We also discuss the party's actions between the Botched Stay at the Rusty Dragon while chasing Yoxel and Namril, while covering how the other information they already have helps them get a clearer picture of those two mysterious fellas. We also spend a good chunk of time sorting out the information the party has gained by talking with some local experts, and what exactly that means for their main quest.

In this episode of our Behind the Dice series, we talk about a period in the campaign where the party was feeling pretty lost about their main quest, and how to recover from those moments as a character and as a player. We dip into character alignment and maybe discover that Kallis isn't the sweet and innocent Dwarf we all thought he was, and what may be in store for Season 2 of StabbyQuest (no spoilers, though).

In this Behind the Dice Episode, we finish talking about Skill Challenges and comparing those in-the-moment feelings to other types of encounters, what the cast would like to see in the campaign and what movies or games they think our game is like, unique or magic items and weapons they don't or do have in their possession (and definitely forgot about), and uncomfortable Oktoberfest experiences!
Kallis, Taat, Pubby, and Stabby had a blast at the GameCraft Arcade and Bar Kickstarter Backer Only party, check out our social media for some pictures of the event!

We return to the Behind The Dice series continuing the night of the "sting" onto the ship, disguised as their own workers. In this episode we cover Skill Challenges, Party Roles versus Class Roles, and playing to or against those constraints.

Happy Halloween!
This episode is the next in our Behind the Dice series, a mix of campaign recap and a discussion about the show with the Cast. We continue with the touching on the important parts of the campaign, and this episode focuses on the fight to Save Belor, the Wasp Insignia the gang keeps seeing around, and their second? third? foray onto the ship.
We start with a special announcement for our Paladin Kallis and his family's Kickstarter for their upcoming Arcade and Craft Bar, GameCraftArcade!

StabbyQuest is a serial adventure podcast, but we are currently in a special aside series which is a mix of campaign recap and casual interviews with the cast. We bounce all over the adventure thus far, and there are LOTS of spoilers! If you don't want the spoilers, we'll return to the game in a few episodes.
The recap continues as the gang discusses their return to Sandpoint with a bunch of bad news. We do jump around a lot in this episode, covering events from various parts the series and connecting the dots with various NPCs. And the theorycrafting pops up again when the gang starts to wonder... what exactly happens when a player character becomes a non player character?

After discussing Aluin's mysterious death, the cast continues recounting their time at his Manor, attempting to fit all of their puzzle pieces together. But something they found early on in their adventure just doesn't add up...

In the last episode, the cast threw around some ideas (and a lot of dirty jokes). In this Behind the Dice episode, the gang digs deep - like, really deep - and attempts to resolve a major mystery in StabbyQuest: What. really. happened. to Aluin?

In this Behind the Dice episode, we pick back up after the gang leaves the spider-infested mine just before they abandon their horses and head into Tickwood to find Aluin's manor. Going back through Tickwood gave us all the giggles, and as a result, we earn that explicit rating in this episode.
As usual, Behind the Dice episodes are spoiler-laden, casual interview format with the cast covering meta topics and campaign recap.
