    Cars are thundering (weather permitting, no pun intended) around Indianapolis Motor Speedway as Conor Daly and co-host Chase Holden roll out a special edition of Speed Street. Conor gives listeners some insight on what is a very busy week at the historic speedway, as tens of thousands of spectators took in the solar eclipse ahead of a two-day open test for the Indianapolis 500. Conor also unveils the sponsorship details of his Dreyer Reinbold number-24 ride, which is a deal with blockchain support company Polkadot.

    After the break, the guys welcome Andretti Global IndyCar racer Colton Herta back to the show. He breaks down his strategy for the polarizing $1 Million Challenge at Thermal, and explains that with no points on the line he truly embraced a “dash for cash” race approach. The interview covers the Andretti team’s oval package, the prospect of racing against Kyle Larson and the rest of the races on the upcoming IndyCar schedule. Finally, Colton weighs in on the future of IndyCar and what improvements he feels the series can make to continue to progress.

    Conor Daly and co-host Chase Holden return for another episode of Speed Street where they react to the latest developments in the IndyCar world. Conor reports that the results of the recent IndyCar hybrid test show that the drivers are happy with the developments in speed. The guys also react to the big news that Prema may be considering an IndyCar team effort, and may have gone as far as to have leased engines from Chevy. They also debate what the IndyCar field expanding to 29 entries could do to the rest of the series structure. IndyCar drivers were prevalent in last weekend’s 12 Hours of Sebring event, with Colton Herta and Kyle Kirkwood taking home wins. On this episode, the guys give listeners a team by team breakdown of the 2024 IndyCar roster. They also lay out their expectations and predictions for the drivers and organizations set to compete at the season opener. Also, Conor reports some breaking driver roster news for Dale Coyne Racing and Arrow McLaren heading into the race weekend.

    IndyCars are on track testing at Sebring as Conor Daly and co-host Chase Holden break out another episode of Speed Street. Conor and Chase go over the test results and weigh in on what the data could possibly mean for the upcoming season. They also react to the thrilling three-wide finish in last weekend’s NASCAR Cup race at Atlanta. During a new, refreshed version of the “Podium” segment, Conor and Chase welcome motorsports social media personality Kevin Beck to the table to debate three current topics in the sport today. They discuss NASCAR vs. F1 online discourse, F1 and Liberty Media’s copyright infringement of the “Greatest Spectacle” slogan and IndyCar banning Josef Newgarden’s last lap snake maneuver at this year’s 500.


    After the break, Force Indy/HMD Motorsports Indy NXT racer Myles Rowe joins the program to fill listeners in on his unconventional path through auto racing. Myles explains that one of his biggest challenges on the Road to Indy has been managing expectations, both inside and outside of the helmet. He also fills listeners in on the development of the Force Indy team, which he has been with since its inception in 2021. Myles talks about his entry into the racing world, which came through video games and a local indoor kart league. Miraculously, he has managed to turn this unusual approach into a promising career, as he carries the 2023 USF Pro 2000 Championship crown into this year’s Indy NXT season.

    113 - A Constant Evolution - IndyCar Team Owner Michael Shank on Winning Combinations Feb 21, 2024

    Fresh off his appearance in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, Conor Daly joins co-host Chase Holden to fill listeners in on his star-studded adventures. The tale began last Thursday night, when Conor gave a ride to Indiana Pacers standout Tyrese Haliburton in the IndyCar two-seater in downtown Indianapolis. Conor gives a detailed breakdown of how the Friday night exhibition game unfolded and the rest of the weekend's activities. He and Chase also discuss the latest in the IndyCar injury report, the decision to move the season finale race to Nashville Superspeedway and the chaos that unfolded at Daytona.


    Three-time IMSA Champion and 2021 Indianapolis 500 winning car owner Michael Shank joined the show to discuss his path to becoming one of the most prominent team leader’s in the last few years. After making a go at driving himself, Shank began fielding cars for up and coming drivers in the Formula Atlantic Series, where he helped eventual three-time IndyCar Champion Sam Hornish Jr. up the racing ladder. Michael explained that around 2001 he was ready to give up on motorsports altogether, when a meeting with Jim France helped steer him into the world of sports car racing. In 2004, Michael Shank Racing entered the Grand-Am ranks in the Daytona Prototype Class, and in the last twenty years has gone on to win the Rolex 24 three-times, as well as IMSA crowns in the prototype and GT Daytona classes. Michael also details how he found himself in the IndyCar paddock, where he helped Helio Castroneves find his fourth Borg Warner Trophy and is set to take on the 2024 season with a fleet of two cars.

    112 - Our Trick is Winning - Supercross Legend Chad Reed Embraces a New Role Feb 14, 2024

    While Daytona 500 week is upon us, Conor Daly is preparing for another big event, the NBA Celebrity All-Star game. He and co-host Chase Holden discuss how his involvement in the popular exhibition game came to be and what celebs he will be competing with this year. They also itemize a to-do wish list for Conor to accomplish during the Friday night spectacle. The Super Bowl, David Malukas’ injury situation and the IndyCar trading card release are also discussed.

    Supercross legend Chad Reed joins the show to discuss his path from rural Australia to becoming one of the most recognized figures in motorcycle racing. Chad recounts the story of trading a family horse at a very young age for his first dirt bike, a Yamaha PW50. Chad speaks on the state of motocross and supercross and praises the young talent coming through the ranks. They also chat about Chad’s venture into sports car racing, where he and Conor crossed paths in the IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series.

    It’s the beginning of a new Speed Street era as show founder Conor Daly welcomes his new co-host, Chase Holden. Listeners may recognize Chase from his Garage Guys Report brand and his motorsports social media content. The two wasted no time in dissecting the week’s action packed racing news cycle, which saw IndyCar entertaining the idea of guaranteed starting positions for the Indy 500 and Kyle Larson passing his rookie evaluation for Arrow McClaren at Phoenix. Conor also fills listeners in on his own Indy 500 plans as it was announced he’ll be joining the Dreyer & Reinbold team with Ryan Hunter Reay.


    After the break, Conor welcomed Indy NXT racer Jacob Abel onto the program to discuss his experience thus far in the Road to Indy ladder and how it’s helping him to prepare for his future ambition of being a fulltime IndyCar competitor. Jacob tells the story of how his father’s Abel Motorsports team went from being a vintage racing outfit to one of the most competitive teams in the Indy NXT paddock. Jacob explains that this year he’ll be focusing on becoming a better qualifier as he and the team strive to bring home an Indy NXT Championship.
