In this wide-ranging and unfiltered episode, Ryan is joined by researcher, journalist, and host of The Debrief, Micah Hanks, to break down some of the most talked-about UAP stories of the past few months. Nothing is off the table. From the deeply divisive James Lacatski interview on Weaponized, to the increasing pressure from members of Congress pushing for the release of long-withheld UAP videos and data, Ryan and Hanks offer their brutally honest takes on what’s signal, what’s noise, and what might be getting lost in between. They also dig into the controversial release of the long-rumored Chuck Clark UFO video, ongoing reports of mysterious scientist disappearances, and the enduring mystery surrounding Bob Lazar and his claims of reverse-engineered alien technology.
Is real progress being made toward transparency, or are we witnessing more layers of confusion and contradiction? Hanks brings his measured skepticism and deep knowledge to the conversation. And for those who want even more, the discussion continues in a special 30+ minute bonus episode available exclusively on Patreon and Apple Premium, where Hanks answers listener questions and dives even deeper into the stories shaping today’s UAP landscape.

Step into one of the most unsettling and influential stories in UFO history as we take a deep dive into the life, experiences, and legacy of Whitley Strieber. In this special episode, Ryan and Suzanne explore the phenomenon that helped define the modern alien archetype, from Strieber’s alleged abduction on December 26, 1985, to the global impact of his bestselling book Communion. Through rare archival footage, including a 1988 national television interview and chilling hypnosis session audio, we examine the origins of the iconic “gray” alien, the controversy surrounding recovered memories, and the deeply personal toll these experiences took on Strieber and those closest to him.
But this episode goes far beyond a single story. We analyze firsthand witness accounts, discuss recurring elements like missing time, paralysis, and alleged implants, and revisit the cultural explosion that followed Communion, including its film adaptation starring Christopher Walken. With perspectives from experiencers, skeptics, and researchers alike, this retrospective asks the questions that still linger today: What really happened to Whitley Strieber? Why do so many accounts share striking similarities? And are these encounters psychological, physical, or something entirely unknown? Whether you’re a believer, skeptic, or somewhere in between, this is a journey into one of the most debated and enduring mysteries of the UFO phenomenon.

Did Logan Paul secretly obtain the most compelling UFO footage ever recorded… and show it to Bob Lazar?
Ryan breaks down the shocking story behind the Chuck Clark UFO video, a mysterious VHS tape allegedly filmed near Area 51 in the 1990s that has been called the greatest UFO footage ever seen by filmmaker James Fox.
From Fox’s firsthand account of a glowing, disc-shaped craft hovering just above a car… to Logan Paul reportedly offering $100,000 for the tape, and secretly recording it anyway, this story only gets more bizarre. According to Logan Paul, he’s shown the footage to Bob Lazar, who claims the craft behaves exactly like what he encountered at S-4. But is this real evidence… or just another UFO legend?
And in a shocking update... THE VIDEO HAS BEEN RELEASED. We feature the Chuck Clark video as seen on American Alchemy w/ Jesse Michaels. Is this the smoking gun of UFO evidence… or just another story lost in the mythos? Sixty years ago, in the quiet suburb of Westall, Australia, an extraordinary event unfolded that would become one of the most compelling mass UFO sightings in history. On April 6th, 1966, hundreds of students and teachers at Westall High School witnessed strange aerial objects maneuvering in ways that defied explanation… and possibly even landing nearby. Yet despite the sheer number of eyewitnesses, the case was quickly buried, dismissed, and, according to many, deliberately silenced.
In this special anniversary episode, Ryan is joined by Australian UFO researcher and host of The Unexplained Rundown, Grant Lavac, to revisit the Westall incident through the voices of those who were there. From firsthand testimonies of schoolchildren who saw flying saucers hovering and darting across the sky, to reports of a rapid military response, witness intimidation, and confiscated evidence, the layers of this mystery only deepen with time.
Together, they break down the key witness accounts, including those who claim the object landed, leaving physical traces, and explore the enduring questions: What did these students really see? Why were they told to stay silent? And why, six decades later, has no official explanation ever been given?

Ryan and Suzanne break down the highly controversial and incredible story of Kelly Cahill. This UFO abduction is considered one of Australia’s most compelling alien encounter stories. In August 1993 near Melbourne, Cahill and her husband witnessed a massive UFO before experiencing missing time. Under hypnosis, she later recalled being taken aboard the craft and encountering tall beings with glowing red eyes.
Multiple independent witnesses reported the same UFO that night, along with physical evidence including body marks and a ring-shaped ground trace, making this one of the most debated and well-documented UFO abduction cases in history. But did it actually happen? We watch a rare long-form interview with Cahill and break it down.

In this special episode of Somewhere in the Skies, we pause to honor the life and legacy of one of the most influential voices in UFO research, Nick Pope, who passed away on April 6, 2026. A former UK Ministry of Defence official who once investigated UFO sightings for the government, Nick became a bridge between official inquiry and public curiosity.
This episode is both a tribute and a time capsule. We revisit Ryan’s on-location interview with Nick Pope and The Basement Office’s Stephen Greenstreet in New York City, a conversation that captures Nick at his most candid, thoughtful, and intellectually sharp. From government secrecy and evolving UAP investigations to the ever-changing landscape of disclosure, Nick’s perspective reminds us why his voice mattered so much.
More than just a researcher, Nick was a colleague, a friend, and a steady presence in a rapidly shifting field. As we look back on this conversation, we also look forward, carrying on the questions he championed and the pursuit of truth he never abandoned. Rest in peace, Nick Pope. Your legacy will continue somewhere in the skies.

Is UFO disclosure finally happening… or are we watching the same story repeat itself? Today, we are joined by Adam Gorightly and Christopher Graybill to explore the cyclical nature of UFO history and disinformation. From the infamous Paul Bennewitz affair to today’s headlines involving whistleblowers, Pentagon programs, and promises of truth. We dicuss Gorightly's book, Saucers, Spooks, and Kooks, and Graybill's documentary of the same name, both of which expose how intelligence operations, belief systems, and misinformation have shaped, and reshaped, the UFO narrative for decades.

In November of 1979, forestry worker Bob Taylor went with his dog to an area known as Dechmont Law. What ensued became Scotland's most famous - or infamous - UFO sighting, a sighting which would ultimately be investigated by the police.
