In August 1976, four friends set out on a canoe trip through the remote wilderness of northern Maine expecting nothing more than fishing, camping, and adventure. Instead, they experienced one of the most controversial UFO encounters in history. Ryan dives deep into the infamous Allagash Abduction, tracing the events from the group's sighting of a massive glowing object over Eagle Lake and a mysterious period of missing time, to the vivid nightmares, hypnotic regressions, polygraph tests, and alien abduction claims that would thrust the case into the national spotlight.
Featuring firsthand testimony from Jim and Jack Weiner, Charlie Foltz, UFO researcher Raymond Fowler, audio from interviews and television appearances, and a detailed examination of both the supporting evidence and skeptical critiques, this episode explores why the Allagash case remains a cornerstone of UFO lore nearly fifty years later.

In this Somewhere in the Skies classic, Ryan revisits a fascinating conversation with author and researcher, Mike Clelland, about his influential book, The Messengers: Owls, Synchronicity, and the UFO Abductee. Drawing from countless firsthand accounts, Clelland explores the mysterious connection between owls and UFO encounters, uncovering patterns that challenge conventional explanations. The conversation delves into the strange overlap between alien contact experiences, synchronicities, dreams, archetypes, spiritual transformation, and even death. Blending folklore, personal testimony, and his own experiences, Clelland examines the possibility that owls play a profound and symbolic role in some of humanity’s most extraordinary encounters with the unknown.

The second batch of Pentagon UFO files has arrived. Ryan and Suzanne break down the most intriguing discoveries. From military videos and NASA astronaut audio to historical documents involving mysterious green fireballs near nuclear facilities, they separate the genuinely compelling cases from the noise and discuss whether these latest releases bring us any closer to understanding the UAP mystery. They also examine a remarkable firsthand account from a senior intelligence official describing an extended orb encounter over a sensitive military installation.
The duo also discusses a breaking announcement that David Grusch, members of Congress, journalists, and disclosure advocates will gather on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on June 9 to push for greater UAP transparency. Plus, they share early reactions to Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film Disclosure Day and explore what its focus on experiencers could mean for the broader public conversation surrounding UFOs and disclosure.

As today’s UFO conversation becomes increasingly centered on American military footage and government hearings, it’s important to remember that this phenomenon has never respected borders. In this re-release of Somewhere in the Skies, Ryan revisits the 2004 Mexican Air Force UFO encounter, where infrared cameras aboard a military patrol aircraft captured multiple unknown objects during an official mission. Along with military testimony, radio transmissions, and reports delivered to Mexico’s Secretary of Defense, the case remains one of the strongest examples of UFO activity beyond the United States.
Joined by researcher Ruben Uriarte, Ryan explores extraordinary cases spanning Mexico and the American Southwest, including the Cisco Grove encounter, the Carlos de los Santos incident, and the rumored Coyame UFO crash. Revisiting this conversation today serves as a reminder that the UFO mystery is global, deeply human, and far bigger than any one country’s narrative.

In this chilling episode of Somewhere in the Skies, Ryan explores three little known UFO encounters that continue to challenge explanation decades later. From a wave of mysterious disc sightings sweeping across Idaho during the summer of 1947, to a terrifying close encounter between a Uruguayan naval corporal and strange humanoid beings beneath a remote lighthouse, to the haunting abduction account of Charles Moody in the deserts of New Mexico, each case reveals the deeply human impact of the UFO phenomenon. Blending historical research, witness testimony, and enduring mystery, these forgotten encounters remind us that some of the most compelling UFO stories are the ones history nearly left behind.

On this classic episode from the archives, Ryan is joined by researcher and psionics experimenter Susan Demeter-St. Clair to explore the connection between UFO encounters, consciousness, and the paranormal. Drawing from her own close encounter and decades of research into telepathy, symbolism, and “high strangeness,” Susan challenges the traditional nuts-and-bolts view of UFOs. From shared psychic experiences to UFO events linked to poltergeist activity, this conversation asks a provocative question: if UFOs are interacting directly with the human mind, what are they trying to communicate?
