It's the annual SOUND OFF CHRISTMAS SHOW and Santa Solomonster comes bearing many gifts! I've got thoughts on TWO surprising stories out of Japan with Hiroshi Tanahashi being named the new President of New Japan Pro Wrestling and WWE possibly sending an NXT talent to work an All Japan Pro Wrestling show. What is going on here? PLUS... my EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with AEW World champion MJF with his thoughts on Tony Khan's comments about AEW constantly being under attack, what John Cena said to him on the red carpet at the Iron Claw premiere and how he's treating his torn labrum as he prepares for his World's End battle with Samoa Joe... more potential bad news for Tony Khan and AEW as it relates to merger talks between Warner Brothers Discovery and Paramount and the effect it could have on the wrestling landscape... lots of contract news on Cody Rhodes, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and the Mysterios, and thoughts on Mercedes Mone asking for even more money than what Charlotte is said to be getting... lots of non-competes for released WWE talent have now expired and guess who the busiest man in wrestling looks to be?... where the Continental Classic finals appear to be headed as AEW revisits the Swerve/Keith Lee feud a YEAR after the story reached its peak... RANKING THE 20 BEST PRO WRESTLING MATCHES OF 2023 and, man, this is a lot harder than you would think... then, it's YOUR questions on a possible future Jon Moxley return to WWE, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk BOTH winning the Royal Rumble, Lacey Evans "not caring" about wrestling, AJ Styles' less than stellar history at Wrestlemania and KANE getting involved in the CM Punk/Seth Rollins story? Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

AEW Dynamite 12/20/23 Review - IS MJF AGAINST SWERVE STRICKLAND OUR REVOLUTION MAIN EVENT? Dec 21, 2023

Show notes

Solomonster reviews the "Holiday Bash" episode of AEW Dynamite for December 20th with three more Gold League matches in the Continental Classic and someone finally knocks Jon Moxley off his perch, leading to a three-way tie atop the standings heading into the semi-finals next week. MJF and Samoa Joe have also agreed to defend the ROH tag team titles next week against The Devil's henchmen, but the more interesting story is only first playing out between MJF and Swerve Strickland. With any luck, that will be our Revolution main event.

WWE Raw 12/18/23 Review - GUNTHER AND MIZ HAVE A BANGER AND NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED Dec 19, 2023

Show notes

Solomonster reviews WWE Monday Night Raw for December 18th with Gunther and Miz having a banger of a match for the Intercontinental championship, and TWO tag team title matches, including new champions crowned on the ladies side. Plus, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre have a conversation that leads to physicality ahead of their DAY ONE match, and no CM Punk on the show now that he has already declared for the Royal Rumble and, frankly, there wasn't anything for him to really do anyway. Oh, and Kofi Claus showed up to give presents to all the people who have been nice this year. Where's my gift?

Sound Off 839 - WWE MEETING WITH WARNER BROTHERS DISCOVERY IS AWFUL NEWS FOR TONY KHAN Dec 17, 2023

Show notes

With reports this week of a meeting between WWE officials and Warner Brothers Discovery executives about the future of Monday Night Raw, this should be most concerning to Tony Khan... and frankly, to all wrestling fans. I'll explain why, as well how CM Punk may have helped open a door that was previously thought to be closed, what WWE is looking to be paid for Raw, how the NBA media rights could have a direct impact on the situation, why Raw on TNT or TBS would not mean DEATH for AEW, but it could mean a very different AEW and Tony Khan's comments about it from the Final Battle media scrum. PLUS... WWE and MLW reach a settlement in their antitrust lawsuit... why CM Punk and Seth Rollins need each other to achieve their ultimate objective, and thoughts on the comparisons between Seth's promo on Raw and Hangman Page's promo on Punk last year leading into Double or Nothing... the latest details on Liv Morgan's arrest this week... Cody Rhodes says MJF will end up in WWE one day... Charlotte Flair out NINE MONTHS with a devastating injury at the worst possible time, what it could mean for Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania and how Tiffany Stratton could be involved... two BIG names return on Smackdown and where it all may be leading at the Royal Rumble... Kenny Omega out INDEFINITELY and in the hospital with diverticulitis, how long he's been sick and the ridiculous reason people claimed this is KARMA for him... fake outrage over a tweet by a FOX employee and Mark Briscoe's rational, adult response to the whole thing... and YOUR QUESTIONS on Damian Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank, Ken Shamrock making a cameo in the Royal Rumble, the most protected heel in the wrestling business, the celebrity inductee for the 2024 Hall of Fame and how I would've booked Bret Hart's WCW debut and first year in the company.
