92: Patti Stanger, The Millionaire Matchmaker Apr 13, 2015
    Show notes

I have a guilty pleasure. And that guilty pleasure is an entire channel… known as Bravo. From the Real Housewives of Beverly Hilss to Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. And today, we have one of my favorite Bravolebrities: Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger. She is the star and executive producer of the network’s hit series “The Millionaire Matchmaker” currently in its eighth season. If you’ve never watched the show Patti connects high net worth clients with women seeking love. The idea being that busy successful men don’t have time or the wherewithal to really make a meaningful connection on their own… And she flips it sometimes, too. I’ve watched her match millionaire women with men... and she’s also connecting same sex couples too, which is wonderful. What I admire most about Patti is her business savvy. She’s an experienced third-generation matchmaker. She founded her company, the Millionaire’s Club, in January 2000 and 15 years later it boasts more than 100,000 members available for its clients. Prior to launching this business Patti served as the Director of Marketing for Great Expectations, one of the oldest dating services in the United States. Early in her career, she spent 10 years in the fashion industry.Patti is also an accomplished author, columnist, radio show host and recently getting into the wine and spirits industry.

89: Paula Rizzo and Achieving Financial Freedom One List at a Time Apr 10, 2015
    Show notes

Raise your hand if you’re big on making lists! I am raising both hands right now. And I’ve got one foot in the air. I’ve been creating lists since I was probably in middle school... writing is cathartic for me and when I can put all my to-do’s in hierarchical order it makes me feel like I can really focus and prioritize. It’s a way to stay organized…and I know for a fact that lists help me be more productive and results-driven. So, if you agree with me that creating and executing to-do’s off of a list are a key to productivity, you will appreciate our guest today. Her name is Paula Rizzo. By day she is an an Emmy award winning TV producer in New York City and by day and night and the middle of the high she works on another one of her passions as the founder of the productivity site ListProducer.com. She has a new book out which we’re going to talk about called Listful Thinking: Using Lists to be More Productive, Highly Successful and Less Stressed. In our time with Paula we discover: -- How using lists can help you lead your best life -- The idea of a permission list when it comes to budgeting and how it can help. -- Paula’s biggest habit – besides list making - that keeps her finances in check.

86: Jeff Kreisler, Author of Get Rich Cheating Apr 07, 2015
    Show notes

Today’s guest is the award-winning comedian, Jeff Kreisler. He is a triple threat! A writer, performer and producer with impressive Ivy League credentials… who believes that the world can be saved with more thinking, passion, and aggressive naps! I actually had the opportunity to cross paths with him at TheStreet.com. His work, including his bestselling satire “Get Rich Cheating," has been praised by mainstream media including The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, CNBC, and San Francisco Chronicle, among others. Jeff is a sought-after corporate speaker and was the featured comedian at The 2011 Economist's World Conference, alongside former President Bill Clinton. He is a graduate of Princeton and Virginia Law School, a former attorney and private investigator. Several takeaways from our interview: -- Why Jeff turned down 6-figure job opportunities that could have put him on a partner track at leading law firms -- Why he doesn’t like to use automatic bill pay -- The best thing that his parents gave him (hint: it’s not his allowance or first car!)

Three takeaways from our conversation: -- How Ramit is making 2015 the year of MORE -- How taking willpower out of the equation allows him to perform at his peak -- And how he spends just 1 hour per month on his finance.
