This week, in McLoud, Oklahoma, easily the strangest murder that we've ever covered occurs, when a biker & his step son decide to get together, to drink copious amounts of booze, and hang out, even though they're currently in the middle of a war of words, over several disagreements. First of all, does the step son owe thousands of dollars in trailer rent? Also, whether the stepson, and his mother, are "worthless" & "sorry" as accused by the stepfather. Who will win this escalating battle??

Along the way, we find out that you don't even have to grow blackberries to be the "blackberry capital of the world", that bikers seem to take trailer rent very seriously, and that you can't strangle a man with his own underwear "by accident"!!

This week, in Brandenburg, Kentucky, a very strange tale unfolds, when a young woman takes a walk down the street, and disappears. When she is found, murdered horribly, attention immediately focuses on her boyfriend, and his best friend, who claim they were just drinking beer, and searching the trailer for a missing snake. This turns into massive, and epic tale, complete with a detective, going to jail! You don't want to miss a minute of this one!!

Along the way, we find out that there are pageants for all ages at the county fair, that you can convict people with very little evidence, and that even the most trusted people can't always be trusted!!

This week, in Niantic, Connecticut, a swinging couple leads a very normal life, to the outside world, but definitely gets freaky on the weekends. While the husband is away on a fishing trip, the wife is horribly murdered, leaving a dark, nasty crime scene. The case goes cold until some new evidence comes to light, leading police to use some shaky science to try to figure out how the husband could maybe have been in two places at once!

Along the way, we find out that we don't want to eat scallops out of a river, that just seeing a movie, doesn't mean that you'll automatically reenact the plot, and that small air conditioners definitely can't make a room 40 degrees!!

This week, in Hope, Alaska, seemingly every man in the state is after one young lady. A transplant, from New Orleans, by way of an attempted New York modeling career, who is currently the star dancer at the biggest strip club in town. At one point, she's engaged to at least 3 men, at once. This all leads to a horrible, and inevitable murder, with a very specific weapon, making it easier to narrow down suspects. This one turns into a giant mess, so make sure to listen until the end!!

Along the way, we find out that we need bathrooms, to call something a vacation, that you shouldn't live with your fiance, and her fiance, and that if someone is killed near a tree, and nobody hears it...

#376 - A Perverted Mind - Vinings, Georgia Apr 01, 2023

This week, in Vinings, Georgia, screams are heard through a small apartment building, leading to several emergency calls being made, including one where the dispatcher can only hear faint moaning. Detectives arrive to find a terribly murdered woman, and a very helpful neighbor. During the investigation, a fire engulfs the building, destroying much of the evidence, except a "sex book" that they think holds the answers. But will a neighbor's curiosity/killer's stupidity lead to the whole thing being solved?

Along the way, we find out that working in the neonatal unit of the hospital doesn't necessarily mean you care about other people, that fires are very noticeable to the people running from them, and the police don't give you all the evidence before they interrogate you!!

#375 - Bones In The Bonfire - Andover, Minnesota Mar 30, 2023

This week, in Andover, Minnesota, a seemingly small family squabble, snowballs into what can definitely be described as a powder keg of anger. A plan is made, and it's a brutal one, involving a crossbow, sledgehammer, heavy hammers, a baseball bat, and a car. All of which had been spray painted black, and eventually left at the murder scene. A giant bonfire ends up revealing all the terrible truths, including a new mystery, involving unknown bones, from at least one more person!

Along the way, we find out that people in Minnesota really like hay, that you shouldn't steal your grandmother's grave, and that no matter how many weapons you use, you can only kill someone once!!

#374 - The Man In The Box - Kankakee, Illinois Mar 25, 2023

This week, in Kankakee, Illinois, a phone call from the police, telling a man that there's been a burglary at one of his properties send him out of the house in the middle of the night. The next call that comes to the house will be a ransom call, demanding $1 million for the man's safe return. These kidnappers also tell the family that the kidnapped man is being kept in a box, buried in the ground, with 48 hours of oxygen. Either come up with the money... or he dies! A real white knuckle kind of episode!

Along the way, we find out that at least some members of The Sugar Hill Gang are still alive, that you probably don't want to kidnap a personal friend of the governor, and that it's hard to estimate how much oxygen a PVC pipe can deliver to an underground box!!

This week, in Murdock, Nebraska, a horrible & bloody scene is discovered, in a rural farmhouse. The victims are pillars of the community, with no known enemies, so police turn their attention to a nephew, who had a minor disagreement with the couple, and they even get a confession. But... was it true? Was any of it true, or is it all made up? And if it isn't true, then there are some sick people out there, that needed to be caught! A very crazy story, that needs to be heard, all the way to the end!!

Along the way, we find out that a "Little Tuggers contest" is something that exists, that not all confessions are created equal, and that everyone involved in a murder is just as responsible as anyone else who is involved in a murder!!

This week, in New Port Richey, Florida, a small town girl, with a police officer husband decides to get into porn, to support the family. While on the set of a very aptly named film, she falls in love with a costar. A sort of British ex-Marine, who is also a club DJ. Let's just say that they're into some weird stuff. Weird stuff, like brutally killing someone, because it sexually excites them to murder, then have sex with each other! Will they slip away, into the night, and not be caught? A crazy story!!

Along the way, we find out that people in Florida glass houses shouldn't throw stones, that no matter what kind of porn you do, it doesn't mean that's what you're into, and if murder turns you on, you're probably going to end up in prison!!

#371 - Dear Murder Diary... - Muscatine, Iowa Mar 16, 2023

This week, in Muscatine, Iowa, a man's unhinged, and horribly graphic murder fantasies are discovered in a notebook, making him the prime suspect in what police originally believed to be a murder/suicide of two women, who seemed to be romantic rivals for the man's affections. The whole thing is a mysterious head scratcher, complete with a suicide note, that might not be a suicide note, and a blindfolded "suicide" that sends police scrambling for a murder suspect. Was it a murder/suicide between romantic rivals? Or, a very cold blooded plot? The whole thing is a mess of nepotism, and disaster!!

Along the way, we find out that not all scarecrows are created equally, that two women don't usually fight over one loser, and if you want to have detailed murder fantasies... maybe keep them off paper!!
