This week, in Ord, Nebraska, a local woman vanishes from a small town bar, after walking outside with a young man. When she can't be found for almost 3 years, it looks like it could be "no body, no crime", but she is eventually found, horribly butchered. Detectives are most suspicious of a man, who has a peculiar fetish, and a completely strange story about his interaction with the murder victim, the night she disappears. Will it be enough for a case??

Along the way, we find out that parading children, for any reason, is a bit odd, that it must be torture to have whatever your fetish is, out in plain sight, and that you should never tell police that you unsuccessfully tried to kidnap the woman, who was eventually found dead!!

#518 - Conspiracy Of Fools - Keithville, Louisiana Aug 10, 2024

This week, in Keithville, Louisiana, when a hay farmer is found, full of holes, with his hands tied up, it seems like an everyday robbery, until detectives scratch the surface. It turns out that this was a diabolical plot, cooked up by seemingly everyone he knows, to kill him, and take his money & property. This includes his wife, stepdaughter, granddaughter, the hired farm hands, and a man who seemingly gets sexually turned on by eating McDonald's!!

Along the way, we find out that crawfish are delicious, that no one man is an island of hay, and that if everyone you know conspires to kill you, there really isn't much you can do to avoid it!!

#517 - Slaughter At Bloody Ranch - Hondo, New Mexico Aug 08, 2024

This week, in Hondo, New Mexico, a very famous person's ranch is the scene of the slaughter of three people. Brutal attacks took these people out, one by one. When the blame falls on the 14 year old son of the ranch's caretaker, the whole area goes crazy, some with support for him, others with anger & vitriol. The case comes down to whether he had a real reason to commit this act, and the evidence is overwhelming!

Along the way, we find out that: you shouldn't dress teen girls in old west brothel clothes and make them get on a stage; that despite what makers of porn think, not everyone wants to have sex with their stepmother; and that some people are actually kind & forgiving!!

#516 - The Office Stalker - Woodbury, Minnesota Aug 03, 2024

This week, in Woodbury, Minnesota, a woman found brutalized & murdered with a hammer, near a corn field, had been dealing with constant issues at work, like someone who keeps stealing her keys from her cubicle, and dumping coffee on her chair. This seems to escalate, until she disappears from the company's lobby at lunch time. There are several suspects, but one has the strangest reaction when he was told that police found her body, then he has some even weirder pictures in his briefcase!!

Along the way, we find out that you should check to see if the name is taken, before you name a town, that you shouldn't drop into a fetal position & sob, when you hear someone you barely know died, and that pictures of strange women, on the toilet, is always the sign of a strange man!!

Police bumble & stumble through the investigation, moving back & forth between suspects, when everyone in town seems to single out & blame one person. The anger builds, as no one can imagine why he hasn't been arrested. In the end, the guilty party wrote out exactly what happened. Will justice be served???

Along the way, we find out that not everyone wants to be called a "cowboy", that Bob Seger might not be the best guy to marry, and that there's a reason that public opinion is not what gets people put in jail for murder!!

Her husband claimed to be in the shower, when the act occurred, and blamed the couple's PTSD & paranoid schizophrenia stricken war veteran neighbor, who they've had fights with, over deer carcasses, and misplaced feces. It only gets messier when affairs begin to surface, throwing even more suspicion around, in all directions! A wild story!!

Along the way, we find out that in some small towns, watching children dance is considered "something to do", that you should always have sex with your mistress, before you think about leaving your spouse for them, and that having a burner phone ALWAYS looks suspicious!!

This week, in Agawam, Massachusetts, a creepy music box should have been the major clue to solve the murder of a young woman, who was violently dragged from her place of work, and eventually horribly murdered. Instead, it took the ex wife, and current girlfriend of a man, who is especially afraid of being cloned, to solve a murder that left the whole area in fear, for years!

Along the way, we find out that going to Walmart should never be considered "something to do", that sometimes the crazy and drunken ex is actually right about their former spouse, and that the police don't want to clone murderers!!

This would be bad enough, but did they need to use the industrial sized woodchipper? A twisted tale of messed up relationships, between some equally messed up people!!

Along the way, we find out that pumpkin rolling is considered fine Australian theater, that babies smell good, so you don't throw them from a moving car, and that a lady must have something going on, if she can get multiple men to kill for her, and give her money!!

Teenage love turns stale, once there are 2 kids, and adult responsibilities. A divorce leads to fighting, plots & schemes. The only way to solve this? A terribly planned & vicious attack, that ends up with 2 charred corpses, and a lot of explaining to do!!

Along the way, we find out that Hard Labor Creek doesn't sound like very much fun, that sex in the back seat of a car, can be fun, but has consequences, and that when you murder a couple of people, you need a better alibi than "I was at the strip club"!!

There are many suspects, but one has a barn full of bondage gear, zip ties & adult diapers, so he rises to the top of the list. Turns out, this wasn't the first time a young woman has been pulled off a bike, in the area. The proof of this man's strangeness & guilt are not hard to find, but will he get away with it... Again??

Along the way, we find out that you can have a chicken festival that has nothing to do with chickens, that nobody needs a property full of adult diapers, and that you never know how many some people have killed!!
